Description
We are Ania and Antonio, from Poland and Italy.
After many years of hitchhiking, traveling with a van and staying in different projects and farms, we eventually decided to stop and found our own piece of land in central Italy.
The project just started so everything is a bit rustic.
We ended up in this region as workawayers at first, we liked the people and the area so we decided to stay.
We are living in a 26m2 basic hut surrounded by hazel nuts, olive trees and a vast variety of fruits. The land is located in the countryside of a beautiful medieval village near Viterbo, one hour north from Rome.
We are trying to implement Permacuture principles as much as we can.
We are working our way into food self- sufficiency, so we dedicate a lot of our time for gardening, harvesting and food processing. We don't do it for business, but just to feed ourselves and make some preserves for the winter.
We feel very fortunate to be able to do that.
Meanwhile we are also trying to develop the project in terms of infrastructures, possibility of hosting friends and adding more comforts. :)Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We are part of some sort of a rural community. So even if we don't live in the same place, we like to meet each other for dinners, trips or works together and we would take you along!
This region is full of natural and cultural landmarks and our nomadic soul makes us move around as much as the farm allows.
We traveled many years through workaway meeting lots of amazing people and learning from them. Now we are happy to give back, so feel welcome.Help
We would appreciate help and assistance in gardening, harvesting, food processing, daily chores and in general in developing the project. We are no experts and this is our playground for experiments. We'll be happy to share what we know and to learn from you as well.

The project just started so we can offer either a spacious three people tent with an extra-comfy double mat and some blankets or a flat space for your own van
There is only a COMPOST TOILET with a beautiful view and an improvised outdoor shower. So make sure you are comfy with these conditions. ;)
We eat vegan or vegetarian, in the summer mostly from the garden. From time to time we like to go out for a pizza or a gelato. What else ...
We live surrounded by the nature, but not so far away from town. So we could borrow you a bike or give you a ride in case of need. There's a quite functional bus and train system that can easily take you to any bigger town.
A little more information
Internet access
Limited internet access
We have pets
We are smokers
Can host families
Can host digital nomads
There's 4g internet connection in the area, but it's not particularity fast. In town you can find a nice cafe to use faster internet if needed.
Space for parking camper vans
There's one big oak three on the way. If you have a big camper you might have difficulties passing, but so far everyone managed.
How many Workawayers can stay?

They're really good cooks as well :)
Thank you for everything and let's see each other hopefully… read more
Sure, the weather was really hot but they were so kind to show me nice places around to get some fresh air or water (or even ice cream)! The place is really amazing and inspiring. The work was interesting.( Mostly cooking or gardening).
We had a very pleasant time with her, full of conversations and interesting exchanges of knowledge and experiences. Ok, it was VERY HOT those days, so surviving was already quite of an accomplishment but nevertheless we also managed to get things done such us: tomatoes… read more
