My name is Robert. I was born in Guyana. My family migrated to the US when I was 13. I served 24 years in the US Navy and returned to Guyana in 2013. I own 100 acres of virgin forested land that I wish to turn into an organic farm, But first I need to build about 4-5 cabins to accommodate volunteers/workers and also set up solar/wind power equipment. After those are completed we would like to start our first crop using the Korea Natural Farming (KNF) Method. I would love your help in making this dream a reality.
Help with Eco project
Guyana is the only english speaking country in south America. It is famous for being made up of six peoples. You will benefit from interecting with Guyanese and their hospitality. Guyana has also recently found massive deposits of oil and is on the way to becoming more developed, you can say you saw it in its natural state before the development :)
I would like help is developing 5 acres of a 100 acre forested land into an organic farm. I would like specifically to build about 4 wooden cabins and a few tree houses to host volunteers and future employees, set up solar and wind power and prep the land for planting using the Korean Natural Farming (KNF) Method. The land is in the forest and there is no electricity and no internet. This is a truly rustic experience, not for the weak minded. If you are an independent soul and love nature in all its glory, this is for you.
In the beginning, while we construct the cabins, you can stay in the forest in tents, I will provide the tents, bedding and mosquito netted hammocks. There is a creek for bathing and I will provide gas stoves, pots and utensils for cooking all meals we provide the ingredients you do your own cooking. If you can't cook, we will cook, but we only cook local food, rice, vegetables, meat (optional) You also have the option of staying in the closest town of Linden, which is approx 15 miles from the farm we will provide rooms and daily transportation to and from the farm.
You can visit the closest town of Linden, Splashmins Fun Park closer to the capital. Visit Amerindian Villages, fishing, birding and swimming in creeks, nature walk on the property. Pandama Retreat and winery is close by. Nightclubs and entertainment in the capital city 45 minutes away.
