    Description

Being a family owned and operated business, we believe that our team members are part of our young extended family.

We are located in a beautiful part of New Zealand, which is an up and coming destination for travellers. It is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts and is a photographer's paradise with white sand beaches and turquoise waters, an abundance of rare wildlife including penguins and hectors dolphins, waterfalls and nature walks. Many refer to the Catlins as a little piece of unspoiled heaven, with peace and tranquillity, in a rural setting.

Our establishment is constantly growing and evolving. We pride ourselves on "fresh, clean eating" where we source our home- grown ingredients to use in our home- made products in the cafe. The advantage of our establishment is that guests can eat, stay and play all in one location in the heart of The Catlins.

Having your own set of wheels will definitely help you make the most of your time here. Many attractions are within a few minutes drive.

As part of our team, you will contribute to our much larger vision. A smile, efficient work ethic and a 'can - do', attitude will go a long way. We have summer vacancies in many areas of our property. Our Workaway helpers will be assigned to tasks based on their skill levels and talents. We also welcome long term 'workaways,' if the mesh is right.

Many projects are underway. We have free-range chickens, a goat, sheep and dogs. You will learn some life skills, as the work is extremely varied and you will meet other international travellers, with mentoring from our highly qualified regular staff, which will assist you in your life skills.

We recommend that those applying have a strong passion for the outdoors, being away from "city life," on a day to day basis and be able to live and work with your fellow colleagues.

You will need to commit to a minimum of two weeks, so that you can contribute to the team and enjoy the region, we recommend having your own wheels. You will have accommodation provided, food for self- catering, wireless internet, DVD library, pool table, a non-alcoholic cafe beverage and great company all in exchange for 5 hours of your valuable assistance each day.

We look forward to welcoming you to our special slice of paradise!
