  Hi,
  this is Eliana, I've been working and traveling away for a long time. Now I'm back home, and I live in a beautiful house in the countryside close to the magic Matera where the atmosphere is really unique and where I own a cozy eco-friendly b&b in the Unesco heritage Sassi area. I speak either english and italian (just a bit of spanish) and love so much hiking and traveling, DIY, meeting new people and discover new stories, exploring nature, gardening and getting busy with renuvation and reuse projects. I'm also passionate of wild plants, fermentation and yoga.
  Just recently I started to play ukulele and love to share my passion with other people.
  I love the environment and try to do all my best to reduce my impact with little daily habits.
  I'm part of two associations which take care for sorrounding areas: Rocciaviva, about regeneration of ecosystem , defending the woods in my area from fires.

  Ciao,
  sono Eliana, ho viaggiato e lavorato all'estero per molto tempo. Dopo diversi anni sono tornata alle origini e vivo in una bella casa nella campagna vicino alla magica Matera, dove si vive un'atmosfera davvero unica. Sono la proprietaria di un accogliente b&b eco-friendly nei Sassi di Matera (Patrimonio Unesco). Parlo italiano e inglese (solo un po' di spagnolo) e amo camminare in natura e viaggiare, incontrare nuove persone e scoprire nuove storie, dedicarmi all'autoproduzione, fare giardinaggio e dedicarmi a progetti di riuso e restauro. Sono anche appassionata di piante spontanee, fermentazione e yoga.
  Recentemente ho imparato a suonare l'ukulele e adoro condividere questa passione con altri musicisti.
  Amo l'ambiente e cerco di fare tutto il mio meglio per ridurre il mio impatto con piccoli gesti quotidiani.
  Faccio parte di due associazioni che si occupano delle aree circostanti: Rocciaviva, che si occupa di rigenerazione degli ecosistemi -, che si occupa di antincendio boschivo.

  I love to live as more as possible in touch with the nature. I've been been a workawayer for long time in Australia and now I'm happy to host people here.
  I'm interested in many things and would be happy to share anything you're curious about them.
  I'm also happy to take my guests around to meet our special places and our reality made by beautiful people and interesting projects. We might even participate to events and workshops together.

  I expect our volunteers to be quite flexible, which can be even more fun and I give you the possibility to explore two different environments, beautiful countryside and an ancient suburb in Matera's Sassi, because I go very often to Matera and you can easily come with me and explore the town.
  Depending on the needs of the moment you will help in the farm or in the house.
  Help in the farm includes: watering plants, planting, collect wood, gardening...
  Help in the house includes: maintainance, upcycling, furniture renuvating, art projects, cleaning, painting, fermenting, cooking...
  Depending on the timing when you'll be here there will be more needs (ie olive picking,...).
  I would love to be pretty flexible about the daily hours, sometimes you'll work more if we need to finish some projects but in this case you'll work less on the day after or you can have an extra day off if you accumulate enough extra hours.
  I consider you as part of the "community" that's why I would love you to help in the general cleaning of the house also in your days off (i.e. dish washing, cleaning your room and common spaces if necessary,...).
  In the house and terrace there's a good internet connection.
  Smoking is allowed only outside the house.
  I provide mainly vegetarian meals.

  Chiedo ai volontari un po' di flessibilità, questo può rendere tutto anche più divertente. Avri la possibilità di esplorare due diverse situazioni: una bella zona di campagna (dove il tuo aiuto sarà richiesto) e un antico rione dei Sassi di Matera perchè io vado molto spesso a Matera per lavoro e sei benvenuto/a ad approfittarne per visitare Matera.
  In base alle necessità del momento aiuterai in campagna o in casa. Avrai una camera tutta per te o da condividere con un altro/a volontario/a.
  L'aiuto nella casa comprende: manutenzione, lavori di upcycling, restauro di mobili, progetti artistici, pulizia, fermentazione, giardinaggio, pittura...
  L'aiuto in campagna comprende: piantare, tirare o tagliare l'erba, tagliare o spostare legna...
  
  In base al momento in cui sarai qui ci saranno diverse necessità (ad esempio raccolta delle olive,...).
  Mi piacerebbe essere piuttosto flessibile sulle ore, qualche volta lavorerai di più se abbiamo bisogno di finire qualche progetto ma in questo caso lavorerai meno nel giorno successivo o potrai avere un giorno libero in più se accumuli abbastanza ore.
  Sarai come parte della "comunità" per questo offrirai il tuo aiuto nelle pulizie generali della casa anche nei tuoi giorni liberi (per esempio nel lavaggio dei piatti, cucina, pulizia della camera o degli spazi comuni se necessario,...).
  C'è una buona connessione internet in casa e in terrazza.
  Fumare è consentito solo fuori casa.
  I pasti saranno soprattutto vegetariani.

  The countryside where I live is beautifully surrounded by oak trees and has some walks to let you explore the area in your time off. Nearby there is a gracious village, Miglionico, which is nice to visit.
  Matera is amazing, you can get lost in its history and there is a very nice community of people to meet.
  
  La campagna dove vivo è circondata da un bel bosco di querce e ha dei percorsi che ti permetteranno di esplorare la zona nel tuo tempo libero. Vicino a noi c'è un paesino grazioso, Miglionico, che ti potrebbe far piacere visitare.
  Matera è meravigliosa, puoi perderti nella sua storia e c'è una bellissima comunità di gente da incontrare.
