I have lived in a small hamlet near the village of Montbrun Bocage since 1980. I live with my partner, I am German and he is French, we are both retired now, I was a musician for many years, playing music in schools and retirement homes. We have a cat and a dog. We live in a beautiful place with 1 ha of land around and a large vegetable garden. We are 15 minutes walk from the village, where a lively Sunday market is held and where a multicultural community lives. We don't eat meat. On my land, there is also a trailer which is behind my house and which I rent.
J'habite dans un petit hameau près du village de Montbrun Bocage depuis 1980. Je vis avec mon compagnon, je suis allemande et il est français, nous sommes tous deux retraités maintenant, j'ai été musicienne pendant de nombreuses années, faisant de la musique dans les écoles et les maisons de retraite. Nous avons un chat et un chien. Nous vivons dans un bel endroit avec 1 ha de terrain autour et un grand potager. Nous sommes à 15 minutes à pied du village, où se tient un marché dominical animé et où vit une communauté multiculturelle. Nous ne mangeons pas de viande. Sur mon terrain, il y a aussi une roulotte qui se trouve derrière ma maison et que je loue.

You can speak French (or German), and discover a beautiful region near the Pyrenees with a rich heritage. There is a very "alternative" and multi-cultural community with lots of interesting things. You can watch short videos about Montbrun Bocage on YouTube which show the market on Sundays. I can teach you how to pick edible plants and grow vegetables.
Vous pourrez parler le français (ou l'allemand), et découvrir une belle région proche des Pyrénées avec un riche patrimoine. Il y a une communauté très "alternative" et multi culturelle avec beaucoup de choses intéressantes. Vous pouvez regarder de courtes vidéos sur Montbrun Bocage sur YouTube qui montrent le marché le dimanche. Je peux vous apprendre à cueillir des plantes comestibles et à cultiver des légumes.

I would need help at home and in the garden, tidying up, weeding, cleaning, painting, small creative home tasks, help in the kitchen, cooking sometimes.

There is no public transport in the area, but we can lend you a bicycle to explore the surroundings. The nearest train station is Carbonne, 35 km away. It is possible to take a bus to Toulouse from Montesquieu Volvestre which is 15 km away. It is very easy and common to hitchhike in the area. There are small lakes and rivers for swimming not too far away, as well as other interesting villages and markets to visit. Ski resorts are just over an hour away, as are many beautiful mountain hikes. Concerts and music workshops are regularly organized throughout the year in the region.
Il n'y a pas de transports public dans la région, mais nous pouvons vous prêter un vélo pour explorer les environs. La gare la plus proche est celle de Carbonne à 35 km. Il est possible de prendre un bus pour Toulouse à partir de Montesquieu Volvestre qui est à 15 km, Il est très facile et courant de faire du stop dans les environs. Il y a des petits lacs et rivières pour se baigner pas trop loin, ainsi que d'autres villages et marchés intéressants à visiter. Les stations de ski sont à un peu plus d'une heure, tout comme de nombreuses belles randonnées en montagne. Des concerts et des ateliers de musique sont régulièrement organisés toute l'année dans la région.
