Hello,

I'm Grace (she/her), from Australia. I am currently living in Sydney after getting home from some time living in Canada and Mexico.

I'm interested in travelling through workaways as a way to get to know locals and work on interesting projects!

Some things i'm interested in:

- permaculture design and principles
- ecological ways of living
- skill sharing and community building
- ideas exchange and storytelling
- artistic pursuits—designing, writing, painting and photography


I'm a super outgoing, warm and friendly person. I love getting to know other people and hearing about their stories and perspectives on life. In my down time I like to practise yoga, learn new languages, work on my writing and read tarot.

I have lots of different skills! Here are some of the ones I am best at:

- cooking
- cleaning
- general labour
- weeding
- gardening
- sewing (I am a seamstress!)
- pattern-making
- writing and editing (I have worked in comms for 8 years)
- yoga - not trained but can lead classes

Things I would love to learn / get better at:

- woodwork
- permaculture principles

- building / carpentry
- self-sufficiency skills
- pickling / preserving food

My current hobbies and interests / things i like to do to pass the time:

- reading books on queer theory, racial justice, abolition and environmental justice (in bookclubs especially)
- creative writing
- teaching myself how to knit
- sewing

- riding my bike around town / la playa

- go to gigs, art galleries and museums

I also have a degree in Environmental Geography, and have studied creative writing previously. Back home I've worked as a community organiser and an interested in grassroots activism and racial and social justice projects.
