We are a couple that loves spending time outdoors, experiencing new cultures through food, and meeting new people! We are both avid hikers and enjoy spending time on the water as well, either paddling, swimming, or watersports. We also both love cycling and ran a marathon together in October. We currently live in Chicago, IL, and are looking to travel to New Zealand for several months to experience the breathtaking scenery and a new lifestyle.

Grace has worked seasonal jobs in multiple national parks, including Grand Teton and Yellowstone. She was also an accomplished swimmer in college, and spent a lot of time exploring the Adirondacks and Catskills of New York.

Jack grew up spending a lot of time outdoors on camping, hiking, floating, and fishing trips with his brother and dad. He goes on annual backpacking trips with his best friends, and is a massive soccer fan.

We spent the entire month of February with Mike and Lynley and couldn't have asked for a better experience! Jack & Grace were with me for 2.5 weeks and were a great team, helping with cleaning up after my dogs -- mastering the vacuum cleaners, dusting, and just general cleaning as well. We spent 2.5 weeks at Liz's home and got to hang out with all of her 12 labradors! They were all so sweet and loving, it was nice to really get to know them all. Sally was a great host and perfect for our first Workaway! She shared her home with us and supplied us with some delicious local food to cook each night.

All of the tasks were exactly as listed and we worked for a few hours a day and then would get the afternoons to explore! Also fell in love with all of her animals - Rory, Baloo & Eme.

Grave and Jack are lovely. Super easy to share my home with. They also cracked into a couple days of hardcore weeding, and then did some painting prep and outdoor painting. They really did a good job and I really appreciated it!
