Hæ og friður til þín og fjölskyldu þinnar! My name is Teresa and I have been in your beautiful country since the beginning of November. I am a teacher by training, high school biology and medical skills, but I decided to go in a different direction during this new season of my life. The thing in life that brings me the most joy and motivation is seeing children, but genuinely just people in general thrive in growth and change that prompts them to be the best they can be. That is one thing I will always value of my time in the classroom!! My students were the best part of my day! When we present passion for what we love, as a teacher it was my craft of teaching science and skills and my love for my students, well my kiddos couldn't help but also find the connection and value in what they were acquiring through learning. My other greatest motivation is my precious son!! He is my motivation and happiness in this life---everything I do is for that young man. He is currently studying in his first year at university, and well mom, is out on an adventure, hopefully living and leading a noteworthy example of how to live life and experience to the fullest!! 😊 I love learning. We should embrace the gift of being "life-long" learners. We should also see the importance of being teachable...how dangerous and limiting it is to adopt a mindset that we know everything or refuse to be the student even as we age. May we never lose our sense of wonder---and may we always be open to new lessons and experiences!

Quais são suas habilidades?
As a single parent for 18 years, I feel like the saying "jack of all trades, but a master of none" seems fitting, but hopefully I have acquired expertise and masterful abilities in some items that would be helpful to your family. 🙂 Most of my second jobs after teaching a full day were heavily saturated in service... so I love assuming the role of helping and serving people in general; I believe hospitality is a loving language of the heart... I have also spent much time (years) as an Au Pair. I have been a nanny for all ages; infants to pre-teens; I believe one of my gifts is my ability to be creative and imaginative---from "going on bear hunts" to "dragons and princesses," it's all about making memories and being okay with silliness and being colorful through imagination! I am a people person, I have been on a path of developing life-coaching skills by way of questioning and listening techniques... I'm a problem-solver by nature and also science minded...I can tutor, encourage, give advice/wisdom, cook, clean, organize, decorate, paint, sing, comfort, be a friend...my heart is to serve, that is my ultimate desire in life. Truly.

Singing is a hobby/passion of mine. Leading worship through song is one of my greatest joys. I would love to share my love of music with you and your family. I love game nights too... dice games, cars game, board games... any type of game I'm all about!! I love doing science experiments too...learning through exploration is the best way to learn about the world around us!!
