Hi, I'm Marie :)
I am 19 years old and have been travelling through Sweden, since August 2024. Until now, I have been with 4 different hosts. I experienced a lot, from taking care of animals, helping around the garden, to helping out in the house. I would describe myself as something of an adventurous poet. I am a creative person a bit of a film and series nerd.
I want to get to know not only myself, but also the world better. I like to explore new adventures and topics and find out all kinds of things about them. I come from a country area in Germany and have no problem getting my hands dirty. I like being outdoors and I love fresh air in my lungs. I always dreamed of traveling to Sweden and Norway, because of the bautiful nature and people.
Although I may seem a little shy at first, I quickly find my way around new situations. I am happy to lend a helping hand and a listening ear. My friends often describe me as a very trustworthy person with whom they can share a secret or two. But I am particularly good at comforting my friends and bringing them back down to earth when they are feeling overwhelmed. They would describe me as sensible and supportive.

So far, I've never done any volunteer work before, so I'm still a little inexperienced. Nevertheless, I am willing to help where I can and support people. I like to help around the house with cooking or cleaning. I am creative and not afraid to learn new handicrafts. I can converse fluently in German and English and am willing to learn new languages.
