Hi! We are Emma (27), and Jack (27), from Ireland. We are a couple (and best friends) and have been together for 11 years! We are embarking on a year-long adventure to explore and immerse ourselves in as many cultures around the world. As passionate travellers, we recently completed a ski season in the French Alps. I (Emma) am a qualified occupational therapist. And Jack is a Software Engineer. We are currently taking a gap year to broaden our horizons, learn from diverse cultures, and give back along the way. We are compassionate people with a deep love for animals, yoga, technology, and all types of food! We are eager to contribute, grow, and expand our understandings of the world.

Quais são suas habilidades?

Emma - I have a background in healthcare, hospitality, and customer service, and I love taking on new challenges while meeting people from different walks of life. I recently completed a Master’s in Occupational Therapy and have been working in a hospital setting, supporting patients with functional rehabilitation. Prior to this, I worked in various hospitality roles, including housekeeping, waitressing, and front-of-house customer service, where I developed strong teamwork, problem-solving, and multitasking skills. I have recently completed a Ski Season in the French Alps and worked as a driver and housekeeper for a chalet company.

Jack - I have a background in software engineering, sheep farming, construction, cooking, and hospitality. I grew up on a large sheep farm in rural Ireland. I have extensive knowledge and insight into working animal farms. I completed a degree in software engineering and have worked for Canon Medical Research Europe for 3 years. I have a passion for cooking and have experience volunteering to cook for a local food charity.

We are well-seasoned travellers, most recently having completed a Ski Season in the French Alps and worked as a driver and housekeeper for a chalet company. We are active and outdoorsy people, with a keen interest in hiking, running, and snowboarding, and we are always keen to be outside and get involved in hands-on work.

We are currently looking for Workaway opportunities that allow us to experience different cultures, contribute to the community, and put our skills to good use—whether that’s helping around a guesthouse, assisting with household tasks, lending a hand with outdoor projects and support with technology. We are quick learners, highly organised, and always happy to get stuck in with whatever’s needed.

We would love to connect with hosts who need an extra pair of hands and enjoy sharing their way of life. Looking forward to new adventures and meeting like-minded people along the way.
