It was truly a pleasure to host Martin. He is a hardworking and reliable volunteer who quickly understands what needs to be done and approaches every task with focus and energy. Beyond his practical help, Martin is very curious and eager to learn, which made working together both efficient and enjoyable. We also had many wonderful conversations during his stay – he shared with us insights from his studies as a theatre writer, as well as interesting aspects of French culture and everyday life. His open-mindedness and kind personality made him a great companion, and we felt enriched by his presence. We warmly recommend Martin to any future hosts. He will bring not only valuable help but also curiosity, creativity, and meaningful exchanges.

This young lady has been exceptional. She is enthusiastic, engaging and conscientious. We are building cabins and she learns concepts and job skills without hesitation. Perhaps most importantly, she has a vibrant personality and has adapted into the bunkhouse family and loved by everyone!

Beautiful Earth Sanctuary and Amazing Lovely People became my Forest Home and Family. Home school teaching (learning), organizing and cleaning, looking after the chickens and the garden, watching the nature all around for 5,5 weeks was such a Dream. Diane's vegan 🌱 cooking was incredibly delicious! 🙏 Thank You Diane & Jodi & co for making this world a better place to be. You are my SuperStars.

Paul visited me and my project for 14 days and it was amazing. He tried to eat many Ghanaian food but loved our traditional Fufu. He was a simple man who involved himself in every activities. We did everything together. We attended funerals , Church services and Traditional Wedding together. He taught English and other subjects in the school. He loved creative ART so he brought creative Art material for the kids. He brought many stationery as a gift and distributed for every child to get something. His interaction with the villagers was a fun. Everybody loves Paul. May the Lord replenish anything you lost as a result of your visit. I am grateful!

This became our home for 5 unforgettable months start from beginning of May upto end of September. It was fun, diverse and vibrant place to work at. Overall it was a great journey which allowed both of us to gain priceless experience, make new friends from all over the world, improve our language skills and feel very confident in all assignments which need to be do in Bistro. For me as a FOH it was a chance to improve my skills in serving tables, running tills, making coffee by using espresso machine, doing busing and working both independently and in team. For my husband working in the kitchen it was priceless experience in prep, cooking, running the kitchen and doing both opening and closing on his own. Adding the huge dose of Yukon wildlife, outdoor activities, swimming, hiking and opportunity to meet and see both grizzly and brown bears just walking from our trailer to staff kitchen was such an adventure for both of us. The balance between work and leasure time is perfect. The owners are very loyal, flexing and always eager to help. They even provided a staff car so people who don't have thier own vehicle can use it to drive to work and back or when you have your days off you are not stuck in your place because there's no public transportation between Carcross and Whitehorse. Huge thanks to Ujwall and Albert for memorable summer and for your constant support and kindness. Cheers Olga and Murat

I had the pleasure of staying around two weeks at Silvia and Fernando’s home. From the beginning I felt like I was at a distant home I haven’t yet had met. Working with Fernando was fun and since the tasks were various it rarely got boring. Clear instructions and work times really helped me with my first time ever Workaway experience. I had lots of free time and Siliva's food was also delicious. I used it to explore nearby places or of course spent it a lot with the so lovely dog Biaggo, really a sweetheart. This family really hit a softspace in my heart and I will happily visit them again when the possibility appears.

My travel made so much sense to me thanks to this workaway! The whole experience was unique : staying in the camp in the forest/jungle (even if very rustic, we had everything we needed), cleaning beaches, getting aware about plastic problem in the sea... We also had the chance to go to a school to show about recycling. And to go to the wonderful biological reserve of Aventureiro! I feel really greatfull for all this experiences. I think this workaway can be really different depending on the people you live with, and also on what is planned for the working days, and this is not known in advance. But in my experience, it was wonderful!

We stayed with Christine and Tony for a little under a months time. During our stay we lived in a very cozy cabin-like house which was fully equipped with everything you can possibly need, with three bedrooms and plenty of space. We felt very comfortable with Christine and Tony and had many fun and interesting conversations on a daily basis. Christine is very talkative and joyful and always has something to say while Tony is very direct and honest, which made for a perfect contrast. Our workaway tasks were to take care of the dogs, on a daily basis (feed, walk and wash). And to do about two hours of daily garden/house work, five days a week. The one thing to keep in mind is that staying in Xert without a car will become quite restricting with very few buses a week that go into Vinaros. We managed to not become bored in any way even without a car and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. The grocery shopping went very smoothly by us following with Tony (for the most part) into Vinaros around once a week where there are a plethora of stores. We strongly recommend this workaway to anyone who wants to experience rural Spain and live very comfortably during their stay with very great and friendly company by Christine and Tony! Just make sure that you enjoy the company of dogs since there are a total of four. They also have cute cats that roam around their property.

Alan stayed with us for around 10 months, and from the very beginning he became more than just a Workawayer—he became part of our family. He is one of those people who brings positive energy, kindness, and responsibility everywhere he goes. At the hostel, Alan was always reliable, hardworking, and organized. He took care of check-outs, cleaning, and daily tasks with great attention, and always made sure the guests felt comfortable and welcome. He is very sociable, easy to get along with, and always ready to help when something was needed. Beyond the work, Alan made every day brighter with his friendly personality. He joined us for morning coffees, shared conversations about life and travel, and even helped us at our family farm on weekends. He was never afraid to try new things, always curious to learn, and always respectful of our culture and traditions. Alan also has a wonderful ability to connect with people. Guests, friends, and family all enjoyed his company and appreciated his warm spirit. We truly felt lucky to have him with us for such a long time. We highly recommend him to any host. If you have the chance to welcome him, don’t hesitate—you will gain not only an excellent volunteer, but also a great friend. Thank you, Alan, for everything! You will always have a home with us in Prishtina.

This was my first workaway experience, I spent one week with Martijn, Anne , the daughter Nelli, and the dog Fred. A very amazing experience , Martijn and Annemiek are two truly kind and friendly people, they're super helpful and nice , and their cooking is incredible. We had a great time together, talking about practically any topic. The work was mostly done in the morning; we chopped wood and started building a frame for a future wall. A super positive experience!

I stayed on the small horse farm in the Comox Valley in September and had a really lovely time. The tasks were simple and enjoyable – mostly collecting horse manure and spreading it around the trees. The working hours were relaxed and fair, which left plenty of time to explore the beautiful surroundings. I slept in a small and cozy garden cabin where I felt very comfortable. The family was incredibly welcoming – Daniel and the others took me along on little adventures, showed me around the area, and really made me feel part of things. I was free to use the kitchen and always had what I needed. Overall, it was a wonderful stay with kind, open-hearted people. I can truly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, nature-connected Workaway experience.

Sarah slotted into life here from the moment she arrived and very quickly made friends with our ever changing little Community... Splashing in the river with kids and Ducks shortly after her arrival. She is kind and caring person who was always keen to do what she could to be helpful and generally make other people's lives easier or more fun. The kids immediately took to her and she was often being dragged off do some kids project, she did with great positivity. We were happy to give her some new experiences including her first reggae Reggae Festival, which the kids loved to show her around. (it being their second time) She is a hard worker who listens and picks up new skills but is also conscious of her own ability and speaks up when she needs assistance/further guidance which is both helpful and smart! She was always Keen for feedback on her work which she always took in a positive manner and that allowed her to progress every day. She ended up coming back for a second visit here as we all got on so well together and we feel and Hope we will see her here again soon. Thanks for everything!

Christine says: Marine and Estelle from France worked as room service staff at this season from June to September. They were highly motivated and dedicated to their work and mastered even the most challenging time constraints with excellence. Guests repeatedly praised the cleanliness and freshness of the rooms. From the very first day, their open nature made them an asset to the entire team. At our daily breakfast together, we were able to get to know each other better and exchange ideas about eating habits in France and Germany, and we had a lot of fun doing so. A very friendly relationship has developed, and we would be delighted if they could return. Fanie says: I am very thankful to had these wonderful girls as members of my team this summer. Working with them both was joy and easy going. They learned the tasks with ease and quickly became familiar with the house's processes. They were always reliable and handled their tasks very independently. Always helpful, friendly and tough working...I couldn't have wished for anything better. Not only that they did a great job also on an interpersonal level, the two fit harmoniously into the team. Both are warm-hearted people with a good humour and their hearts in the right place. I would highly recommend both of them, but I'd rather hold off on advertising because I'd like a permanent summer subscription for both of them. ;-) Thank you Marine and Estelle for your commitment and heart and making this season so special!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed hosting the 'Judson Army' (a term I coined one day when we had everyone working on various projects around the house, it was a true hive of activity). The Judsons were just awesome to host. We were a bit apprehensive about hosting such a large group, but it worked out so well and the kids were all so helpful, well behaved, and kind. Despite the difference in ages between their older children and our son, they played together a lot and got along so well together. As for the projects, we got a lot of great work done during their stay. Arthur's skill as a contractor really helped, not only in figuring out the best solution for each project, but he also acted as a pseudo-foreman helping advise his kids on how to best complete whatever task they were working on. All that, along with some great meals (they cooked amazing dishes) and great conversation, we had such a wonderful time with them and really hope they'll be able to make it back someday!!

She is a lovely person, responsible and consistent in her work. Very kind, tender and caring to the pets, consistent and respectful to me and the rules of the farm Social and communicative, caring and reliable in our interaction, We have had some very interesting conversations on spiritual issues Before she left, she gave me a nice gift, drawing a beautiful painting on my fence.! I surely recommend her as a volunteer

Domenico and Anja, our first workawayers! The fence is looking better than ever thanks to you. I'd highly recommend you two to anyone - chill, fair, clean and easy to communicate with. Handled every situation like a breeze. Pleasant to chat with. There's something zen about you two. :) As I said already when we parted ways, you are always invited! We are thankful for your stay and wish you all the best.
