  This is a privat family run Bed&Breakfast very close to the beach in the old seaside resort Seebad Ahlbeck on the island Usedom north of germany. The building is a relic of the former GDR. It was used as a summer holiday home for the employee of a big company, as it was common back then. You can still see the GDR Style outside, but inside the house is full refurbished and on a modern standard. We have 25 double rooms with a small bathroom. The equipment is simple but sufficient and includes a little fridge and a TV. We are a hotel for the smaller budget. We offer an extensive breakfast buffet, which is our special and very popular with our guests. Our typical guests are couples of all ages, but also small families with kids (we offer extra beds for kids). We are open only in summer, from June to mid September.
  I am Fanie, the manager of the house. I life with my family 450 km south of Usedom close to Dresden. That's why
  I am not constant at the house the whole season. I do administrative and office work from the distance.
  We run the house with a small team of 5 people. Our lovely Reception lady and housekeeper Christine joins us since several years, as well as Dietmar, a lively fit pensioner, calling himself "the kitchen bull" and taking care for breakfast.
  Another very nice retired woman is helping us with cleaning the rooms since several years. The last two years several young workawyers completed our team by helping with cleaning and breakfast service. We were pleasantly surprised at how well it worked even with the language barrier. The elderly staff speaks only tiny english, nevertheless all got along very well together. We found supernice helpful young people, who were a great enrichment for us and a pleasure to work with. We hope to continue this great experience also this year!
  
  I tell you a bit about the surrounding:
  To the beautiful white-sandy beach it is just a 3 minutes walk. Ahlbeck has a lovely old pier and a promenade full of beautiful old houses along the beach. On this promenade or the beach you can have a splendid walk to the other beautiful old "Kaiserbäder" Heringsdorf and Bansin or in the other direction to Poland. The polish city Swinemünde/Swinoujscie is less then 5 kilometers away. A good distance for a side trip by bicycle. In this lively city with a huge port, you can find a lot of Cafe, Bars, Restaurants and Shops. Usedom is very popular in summertime, but you still can find calm beaches and hidden romantic places in the backland of the island. On the island you can find the whole range between lively city and lonely nature.

  You are in contact with mainly german guests from every age. Our typical guests are couples but also small families with younger kids. You gain experiences in the field of gastronomy and tourism and learn about the german culture. While helping us with the breakfast, you get an inside of the german kitchen and food preferences. We are also open, if you like to bring our guests in contact with the kitchen of your country or the habits of your countries breakfast. We are a small familyrunned Bed&Breakfast with a small team. If you like to work self-reliant and like to bring in yourself, you are our person. You get the chance to work in a holiday surrounding very close to a beautiful beach.

  For our next season we need help at houskeeping and in the kitchen.
  
  PERIOD: mid June to Mid September 2025
  
  We want people who can stay the whole season, because it's nice when the team can grow together over the 3 months and a change in personnel brings a lot of unrest into the processes.
  Due to the lack of rooms we prefer COUPLES or close FRIENDS who are fine with staying in a doubleroom together.
  Experiences in the hotel sector would be great, but are not a condition.
  
  We need 2 people for HOUSEKEEPING:
  
  You have to clean the rooms including bath and all the public spaces in the house, make the beds and the laundry(washing maschine and dryer)
  You will be in charge for a floor with 12 to 13 rooms.
  Your tasks can be also: Cleaning outside area, watering plants and gardening, going to the bakery in the early morning, set tables, helping out in the kitchen.
  Please keep in mind that the job can be physically demanding.
  Working time between 8.30 am and around 3 pm depending on occupancy
  You work 6 days a week, on average 35 hours a week
  
  For the job we need someone who can work quickly but also conscientiously, who are attentive and helpful and can deal with stress. Please be aware that the job can be physically demanding. If you have a friendly and open minded character the guests will be thankful and the team will enjoy working with you
  
  We offer: 12,82 Euro per hours, plus you get a free breakfast and free accommodation.
  
  We need 1 Person for help in the KITCHEN/BREAKFAST SERVICE:
  
  you will be the helping hand for Dietmar our kitchenchief
  your tasks are: going to the bakery in the morning, Supervision of the buffet and coffeemaschin, Clear and set the tables, dishwashing , cleaning and can be add by Gardening and general housekeeping tasks
  You need a german GESUNDHEITSZEUGNIS- a permission to work with food
  (to get that you need to do a 2-3 hours course that you take at a German health department)
  Your working time will start around 7 am
  
  We offer: 12,82 Euro per hours, plus you get a free breakfast and free accommodation.
  
  FOR BOTH JOBS:
  You need a work permit for germany!(if you are Non EU) We make an employment contract.
  
  We can offer free accommodation for you. You will stay in one of the guest rooms. You have a double bed, furniture, a little fridge and TV and an own bathroom. The breakfast you can have together with the team, after the breakfast time of the guests. You can use our kitchen for preparing your meals in the time it is not needed for preparing breakfast.
  We have W-lan in the house, but the quality is not good enough to have access in the rooms.
  
  You live and work in a nice holiday surrounding very close to the beautiful beach, but nervertheless you should be ready to work 6 days a week at least 3-4 hours. Depending the arraivals and departures of the guests and the occupancy it can grow up to 6 or 8 working hours a day. One day off will be arranged with the other staff.
  We are a small nice team and it is very important for us to have very reliable person.
  So please think about if you really want to do it and are willing to stay that long period of 3 month.

  The island Usedom is very popular for the germans summer holiday and very touristic in summer, although you still can find calm areas close by. The beach is a dream: wide and fantastic fine white sand. Hemmed by sand dunes mostly but some beach parts also have a cliff. The island is perfect for cyclists and walker.
