I stayed for about three weeks and my time with them was great! They all are very friendly and welcoming and it was a pleasure to help them and work with them. There was plenty of stuff to do and days (unfortunately) flew by. We had lots of fun and they helped me to improve my Czech (even though dialect in Olomouc region is - well, quite something... haha!), which I am ever so grateful of! I definitely want to meet them again and can 100% recommend them to anyone who likes to do stuff!

We were lucky enough to stay for just over 3 weeks working alongside Pratik and Mo and it was truly a life changing experience. The communication from Tanja who is overseas was fab, right there if we needed her. We worked closely with Pratik and other volunteers looking after the dogs in the animal shelter, it was such an eye opening experience to see badly hurt dogs come into Quarantine and slowly see them light up again and heal. We were made to feel welcome and confident when providing day to day and medical care to the animals! Mo and her team always checked in and allowed us to help on the street dog team as well, the work they do is amazing and clearly makes such a difference to the island. We haven’t stopped talking about the place since we left and if our journey allows it, we would definitely come back ❤️🙏

Thank you to you, Martina, Ernest and Paul, for having me stay with you three weeks in August! I’ve been back home again for a month now and have to admit that I definitely miss you and the dogs (not least Ky) and the beautiful surroundings of your neighborhood. During my stay I got to cook, clean and help with general maintenance and other daily tasks on the farm (such as feeding the baby chickens🐥). On my time off Martina and Ernest were great at offering to give me rides to e.g. the train station, as well as inviting me to come with them to things like dog walks training, shops and family visits, and together Martina and I even conquered my first mountain climb⛰️ I recommend the stay for anyone with a heart beating for animals - especially dogs! - who would like to delve into the physical work of farm life. You’ll be welcomed by the family with open arms! Xxx

Thank you Alva and Gabriele for sharing a simple life with you, in fluidity and lightness. It was really very pleasant to be welcomed with kindness and to be able to participate in the improvement of the place at my own pace, without pressure. I really felt at home and I put all my heart into bringing your charming place back to life. I repainted walls, fences, verandas, windows with great pleasure and joy. I gardened with the same enthusiasm and felt happy with all these improvements. Your gratitude was a driving force behind all this energy deployed to thank you for your warm welcome. I left with lots of unforgettable memories, our walks together with your 3 babies, our miraculous mushroom picking, our sharing around delicious meals and this fabulous moment of contemplation of the lunar eclipse. I will gladly come back to find this sweet life with you and thank you for having made me discover Sweden, an endearing country, so beautiful, a real favorite 💖 good luck to you 5

Jonathan originally planned to stay with us for two weeks – but it turned into three wonderful weeks filled with heart-opening moments, deep connection, and invaluable support. He arrived as a guest, but left as part of our family. We truly took him into our hearts and are endlessly grateful that his path led him to us. Jonathan is an exceptionally mindful person. He carries a fine, radiant presence, listens attentively, is considerate, and approaches everything with respect. His impeccable manners, open heart, and inner calm create an atmosphere where one immediately feels at ease. Having him around made life lighter, brighter, and deeply supported. As a Workawayer, he did far more than we could have ever expected. He helped us immensely with our move, working with great joy and absolute reliability. His greatest creation was a door – but not just any door. With remarkable craftsmanship and an incredible eye for detail, Jonathan built a castle door inspired by an antique model. It is not only functional, but a true piece of art – something that will always remind us of him and carry a part of his soul within it. With our animals, Jonathan was always loving, caring, and deeply sensitive. He met them with such natural warmth that trust was instantly there. He simply brings good energy – to spaces, to people, and to animals alike. Daily life with him was a joy. Jonathan is grateful for good food and good wine – and it was pure delight to cook for him, because he received everything with such heartfelt appreciation. Sitting together at the table, sharing stories, and celebrating life together was a true gift. For Jonathan, no step is too far, no task too heavy. He contributes with ease, humor, and wholehearted dedication. He is not only an outstanding craftsman, but above all a wonderful human being. Jonathan is an absolute treasure for every host – as a helping hand, as an inspiring companion, and as a radiant soul. We can recommend him wholeheartedly and wish for every host to experience the same enrichment we did. Jonathan – thank you for your presence and your being. You will always remain part of our family.

Arianne and her family — it was a great experience to be able to work and learn with the team. We practiced languages, and on our days off, we had the chance to explore much of Belgium by train. We were invited to several extra activities, like going to the stadium, beach parties, and festivals. The truth is, there's quite a bit of work, but fun is never missing — barbecues, homemade stone-oven pizzas, or enjoying a good wine at sunset. We definitely recommend this Workaway; it's very close to the beach and there are bicycles available. We’d love to return to Ostend someday. You'll always have a place in our hearts

Anna & Rahel are wonderful people who, even though they don't know how to execute, learn and try their absolute best. And that is a great thing when you work with people! We have had fun, learned so much about eachothers cultures and kept the swissgerman and swedish going. They have also connected so beautifully with our son and they have made memories for life. They are neat and tidy people who love to help. They are both curious and willing to learn - new tasks and about Sweden. We have really loved to have them here and enjoyed every day of the three weeks together!

This was our very first Workaway experience, and we stayed with Cristina and Pippo from October 8th until November 1st. Overall, we had a very positive time and learned a lot. We had a cozy and private room connected to the house, which was perfect – it gave us our own space but also made it easy to stay in touch with our hosts. During our stay, we looked after their two lovely dogs and two cats when Cristina and Pippo were away, and we walked the dogs every day. Most of our work was in the garden: removing an old hedge and a palm tree, cutting back bushes and old shrubs, raking leaves, and keeping the outdoor areas tidy. We also did some painting jobs, such as windows, gates, and even our own kitchen and bathroom, which was a nice project. From time to time, we also helped out inside the main house with small cleaning tasks like vacuuming or tidying up. The area around Giaveno is really beautiful, and Cristina and Pippo gave us great tips on things to do in our free time. There are bus connections, but unfortunately no bicycles were available for us to use. The only thing we sometimes found a little difficult was the work schedule. There wasn’t always a clear structure or fixed times, so the workload varied from day to day. However, whenever we asked, Cristina and Pippo were flexible and understanding, and it always worked out well in the end. All in all, Cristina and Pippo are very kind and welcoming hosts, the work was varied and interesting, and we really enjoyed spending time with them and their animals. Thank you again for welcoming us into your home!

I stayed at Kevin and Lee’s chalet in Montchavin from July 11 to August 15, and they immediately made me feel like part of their family. Montchavin is a charming town, and thanks to Kevin and Lee I had the chance to share several dinners with their friends, which made me feel even more at home. I also met many wonderful people while hitchhiking around the area (which is very easy btw). The chalet itself is peaceful and surrounded by nature, the perfect setting where I managed to write two thesis. The kitchen is fully equipped, so I could cook everything I wanted, and the nearby hikes are breathtaking. I don’t recommend you to come to Lee and Kevin, because you will fall in love with it, then it will be a place that you will never be able to leave.

Our two weeks stay at Martha was wonderful! From the moment we arrived, it felt like staying with family as Martha, her son and her nieces are welcoming and loves hanging out. Martha provides a really comfy and nice space in a separate house right next to hers, where we got everything we needed. We also got three delicious meals a day - we will truly miss her cooking! The work itself was very flexible and relaxed. Martha helped us going on an unforgettable safari at Ngorongoro at an affordable price and in return we helped her with pictures for her social media and writing a blogpost. We felt a lot of trust from Martha and that we could do this work in our own authentic way. All in all, we definitely recommend a stay at Marthas if you're curious to have a true cultural exchange, get close to a Tanzanian family, having lovely experiences in nature and amazing food! Thank you Martha, we hope we can come back one day :)

I enjoyed having Sarah around. She is a very capable young lady, and we undertook numerous French cooking nights together which were great. We had some hiking adventures and visited a number of places on the coast and beyond. Sarah did some gardening and helped around the house which was appreciated. She really enjoyed using the ride on mower at maximum speed. I wish her all the best driving the old car and maybe see her again in Oz or France.

Paden and Lilli stayed here for a month. They were a good-humoured couple with a positive attitude. Always very helpful and with a smile on their faces, happy to take on any task that was needed. They helped preparing our vegetable garden, repaired some cracks at the guesthouse and were a huge help when a fire broke out and they came immediately to help taking care of the animals and protecting the fruit trees. They are welcome back anytime and we wish them well for their future.

If you are looking for a breathtakingly beautiful place surrounded by nature with a truly special spiritual atmosphere, Christina’s home is an absolute gem. Just one hour from Melbourne’s city center. My stay with Christina was exactly what I needed after some busy and intense days in the city. The tasks were varied and enjoyable, including cleaning, cooking, gardening, and walking her sweetest dog, Ziggy. What stood out to me the most was how wonderfully organized Christina is when it comes to work. She communicates clearly, gives structure, and creates a smooth workflow — the days pass quickly because there’s no confusion or stress, just a clear sense of direction. During my time there, Christina had a busy schedule and was often out of the house, but whenever she was home she was so kind and thoughtful. She even took me on some lovely hikes in the area, where we were lucky enough to spot kangaroos! Thank you so much, Christina, for welcoming me into your home. It was a real pleasure and a very memorable stay.

It was my first workaway experience, and I enjoyed it with my whole heart. I spent there 15 days, helping cleaning and especially teaching English to young learners. Pantila, Mae Mai and Jell have been amazing hosts.

Amy was the best workawayer we could ever wish. She was so nice and decent and she worked so hard. She was very patient and always did her job precisley. She usually stayed with us a bit longet to help around. Amy told us many things about Taiwan and was very patient to talk Chinese with Tereza and that was what Tereza appreciated! Amy's English is also very nice. She loves travelling and she trly wanted to learn new things about our culture. She was always curious to try new Czech meals. Amy was so goog with our daughters. The older loved her so much that even if daddy left for a weekend, our daughter said: "I miss somebody" Expected answer was "daddy" but after investigating she said: "I missed Amy". The last and not least, Amy is a doctor so we felt comfortable to leave he thi kids so in case of some unexpected healt troubles she would know what to do. We really hope we could meet Amy again and we can just say: it was too short with Amy. Miss you! Thank you!

We had the incredible opportunity to spend the last two weeks of september 2025 with the warmest and most welcoming people : Yeldos and Goulnar. We worked around 4 hours a day, and the tasks were always varied and interesting : from feeding the chickens and maintaining the farm to helping with small projects depending on the farm’s needs. Every day felt productive but with plenty of time to relax, explore, and enjoy the surroundings. The stay in the yurt is very confortable and a unique experience. One of the highlights was the food! We cooked and shared delicious meals together, exchanging recipes and enjoying fresh ingredients straight from the farm. Mealtimes were filled with good conversation and laughter. The family kindly offered help and suggestions for exploring Kazakhstan, making sure we got the most out of our time in the country. Their generosity went far beyond what I expected. This was more than just a volunteering experience — it was a cultural exchange, a chance to connect with nature, and to meet truly wonderful people. I left with unforgettable memories, new skills, and a deep appreciation for Kazakh hospitality. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic Kazakh farm stay. Thank you again, Yeldos and Goulnar and we hope to see you again.
