J’ai passé trois mois formidables dans cette belle maison jaune de Sainte-Anne-des-Monts ! L’accueil de Léa a été chaleureux dès le premier jour, et je me suis tout de suite sentie comme chez moi. Les enfants sont attachants et j'ai pu les voir évoluer en peu de temps. Agathe est pleine d’énergie et de curiosité — ce fut un vrai plaisir de passer du temps avec eux et de partager leur quotidien. Merci pour ce bel été et tous les beaux moments vécus ensemble : apéros sur le balcon, cinéma en plein air, les road trips au travers du Québec, les friperies tours et j'en passe. Léa m'a intégré dans son cercle d'ami.e.s ainsi qu'auprès de sa famille qui sont tous les uns autant que les autres adorables. Cette expérience a été fortement enrichissante à tout point de vue.

I stayed with Kate and Mike for a month through Workaway, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. I reached out very spontaneously, and they welcomed me with open arms. On my fourth day, Mike took me on a tour of the area and showed me around Victoria, which was a great introduction to my stay. The work itself was very enjoyable, and being surrounded by animals made it even more special. The three dogs, especially Lina, really stole my heart. I also got to be part of their family life—joining them on trips, movienights (also in the Tipi) and eating together, and just experiencing their warm hospitality. My tasks were varied, from feeding the animals to painting and other chores, and I genuinely had fun with everything I did. I will definitely miss this wonderful family and would love to visit them again in the future!

Martin and Catherine are incredibly generous and lovely people. They welcomed us into their cosy and beautiful home with a big smile and open arms. We were very grateful for the private downstairs space they provided us but always felt welcome to sit with them upstairs by the warm fire, the friendly dogs and being introduced to our new binge show MKR. Catherine cooked up some amazing veggie meals and some delectable sweet treats that we really enjoyed and also catered to Dharmas lactose more than she does herself. Martin also cooked some delicious meaty options as well as supplying a constant stream of fresh homemade bread. The workload was fair and educated us more on caring for livestock and farm life overall, we really enjoyed assisting Martin in all of the DIY jobs, most of them being aimed at improving the animals lives. He also went above and beyond with his help on improving our van, offering his knowledge, his tools and his time and we are forever grateful for this. If you are looking to stay with a pair of open minded, friendly, kind and down to earth people then this is the place to be. The Hunua Ranges is naturally beautiful but the people that live their make it even more so! 11/10 would recommend

Andrew stayed on our hobby farm in September and even joined me to do Some work on the South Coast of NSW. He is a real delight to have around, is curious by nature and has a great sense of humour. He helped with some major landscaping (digging countless holes!) and was always courteous and polite. He was enthusiastic in whatever job was asked of him. Wishing you safe and happy travels. Pasamos una estancia maravillosa con Lourdes y su banda!! Llegamos en un momento festivo y Lourdes nos integró de inmediato, conocimos a su familia y a sus amigos, ¡fue genial! Muchas gracias por todos esos momentos tan cálidos y llenos de convivencia. Nuestro trabajo consistió principalmente en cuidar a los 8 perritos adorables: Nika, Malek, Léa, Jack, Mia, Angie, Nash y Miguelito 🔥 Las caminatas por la mañana y la preparación de las dos comidas al día van a quedar como un recuerdo muy especial. Los perros son súper tiernos y están muy bien educados. Lourdes es una anfitriona increíble, siempre atenta y muy rápida para responder en todo. Nos encantó el intercambio cultural y lingüístico, así como todos sus valiosos aprendizajes. ¡Mil gracias por este momento tan bonito!

Estuvimos unos diez días en casa de Sergio en Guanajuato. Gracias por esta experiencia increíble, la ciudad es hermosa y vibrante. Encontramos un buen equilibrio entre el trabajo y nuestras salidas. Nuestras tareas fueron principalmente ayudar con el mantenimiento diario del lugar y preparar los cuartos para los huéspedes. También pensamos que es importante ser autónomos y creativos, así que decidimos darle una arregladita a la terraza, ¡quedó súper linda para desayunar ahí! Lamentablemente no tuvimos la suerte de conocer a Sergio en persona, pero un gran agradecimiento a Elisa por su cálida bienvenida. Río es un compañero de casa increíble. Además, participamos en la limpieza del río con la asociación, donde conocimos a gente genial! ¡Gracias por este momento!

Incredible experience! For my first workaway this was an incredible experience. Living and working along side so many animals made everyday joyful and motivating. I remember one day sitting with Edgar he said "the horses are the heart of the farm. Everyone is dedicating time and energy to the Ranch because they know the horses are there chilling". He was right, every single person that worked on the ranch were there because they were in love with it. For me it was beautiful to see and work along side them. Thankyou so much of the opportunity to learn about horses and life on the Ranch in Mexico. I will never forget it.

I had such a great time staying with Carmen and David. They are really kind people and made me feel very welcome and at home. Thank you both so much!

In our two weeks with Ed and June, my boyfriend and I had a wonderful time both getting to know the couple and working on their beautiful property. We really appreciated their hospitality and enjoyed all of June's delicious cooking!

I spent a month here in April and had such an amazing time. The work is straightforward (mainly check-ins/check-outs and some evening activities) and leaves plenty of free time to enjoy the beach, surfing or exploring the area. What makes this hostel really special is the family atmosphere – from the shared dinners to the game nights and the great energy between volunteers and guests. Big thanks to the team and all the volunteers for making this month unforgettable. I’d love to come back one day!

Mein Aufenthalt bei Ilona und ihrer Familie war einfach rundum wundervoll. Schon bei der Ankunft habe ich mich sofort willkommen und wohlgefühlt – das gepflegte Haus, die entspannte Atmosphäre und die herzliche Art der Gastgeberin haben von Anfang an alles perfekt gemacht. Ilona ist eine unglaublich offene, liebevolle und großzügige Gastgeberin, die mit ihrer warmen Art für ein wunderbares Miteinander sorgt. Besonders schön waren die gemeinsamen Aktivitäten: Das Tennisspielen am Samstag, die Spaziergänge mit den Hunden – allen voran meinem kleinen Liebling, der gerade erst wenige Monate alt ist – sowie unsere Ausflüge zum Strand, die mit einem leckeren Frühstück gekrönt wurden. Diese Momente werde ich noch lange in Erinnerung behalten. Auch die Aufgaben während meines Aufenthalts waren fair, abwechslungsreich und gut machbar. Ich hatte jederzeit die nötige Unterstützung und konnte Neues ausprobieren, was mich persönlich bereichert hat. Besonders geschätzt habe ich die Geduld und das Vertrauen von Ilona, die mich motiviert haben, Herausforderungen anzunehmen und daran zu wachsen. Sehr angenehm war zudem, dass ich ein eigenes Zimmer mit Bad hatte und vieles auf dem Grundstück nutzen durfte – unter anderem den Pool. Das hat den Aufenthalt noch komfortabler gemacht. Alles in allem war es eine wunderschöne Zeit, die ich nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen kann. Der Abschied fiel mir wirklich schwer, und ich freue mich schon jetzt auf ein Wiedersehen.

The past three weeks at Barbara’s house have been absolutely wonderful. It’s been a unique experience to start my days doing small jobs in and around this beautiful home in the middle of the forest. While painting a door, a cockatoo might scream at you from a tree, Lenny the house wallaby hops by behind you, and if you’re not careful, a sneaky curlew might slip into the house. Barbara had a list of tasks that needed to be done. And I picked tasks that fitted my skills and interests. The room and facilities were excellent. After work hours, I set off on little adventures through the Tablelands—visiting waterfalls, unique craters, and local markets in nearby towns, all along stunning scenic roads. A huge thank you to Barbara & Jude for the amazing time! ♥️

Simona spent about two weeks with us, and it was truly a pleasure to host her. She is an extremely organized and responsible person, always with a positive attitude and a great ability to adapt to our way of life. She was eager to help in the kitchen as well as in the agritourism, showing both commitment and initiative. Conversations with her were inspiring, and we truly appreciated her openness and kindness. We are grateful for the time we shared and would be very happy to welcome her again.

On est restés un peu plus de deux semaines chez Laure et Fabien (ainsi que leur fille Arya) et on aurait sans hésité prolongé d’un mois si le temps nous l’avait permis. Ce couple de bosseurs vous immerge complètement dans la vie du ranch et du chenil ! On s’est très vite sentis à l’aise grâce à eux, et nous avons découvert énormément de choses concernant les huskies, les chevaux, la vie au ranch, les anecdotes québécoises, mais aussi Émile Deschênes et la génétique des robes équines 😋 On espère que leur projet continuera de bien se développer et on leur souhaite le meilleur à tous les trois ! PS: faites gaffe on s'attache très vites à tout leurs compagnons de vie aussi

Corynne and Joshua were a big help around the farm this summer. They weeded a large garden and kept the trees tidy and well kept, pruning and weeding them. They both worked as a great team with urgency and joy about each project. Corynne and Joshua have a great attitude towards hard work, and meeting the locals alike. They were on property with guests, and helped welcome them as well. They have a love for my animals, feeding and caring for them daily. They were excited to learn while keeping the house tidy in which they stayed. They managed to harvest over 800 kilos of olives and stayed on track with all other daily tasks. It was a great experience hosting these young adults, and teaching them the ways of the land. Thanks you Corinne and Joshua!

It was so pleasant to have Julia around. We realy enjoyed her positivity, energy and flexibility and everything seemed to be possible. In the evenings we shared good chats around the firestove. During the day we could ask her anything. She did a good job on some (in my opinion) next level carpenter projects - making splendid woodconnections. We would highly recommend Julia. And we're missing you/her allready. Enjoy the rest of your travels. And we'd love to see you again.

Big thanks to Aza, Ana and Grandpaw. I had two fantastic months here. I could explore myself and the beautiful Island of Kauai and got inspired by all the amazing people. Aza is super open to every person and everybody can contribute their strengths for work. I did a lot of gardening, planted threes and harvested coconuts. After work we went on adventures, could use the surfboards, camping gear and cars. They even paid for the gas. It was volunteering heaven for us always 5-13 volunteers.
