Thank you for helping me do everything while I was in Baturidi Jungle. I'm very lucky to have someone as enthusiastic as you as a volunteer.

Oliver stayed with us over the summer on our organic farm and brought his awesome Aussie vibes along with him. From day one he fit right in — super social, always up for a good chat, and great company for both us and the other volunteers. He’s a strong worker and really knows his stuff, having two farms back home in Australia. He helped us out in so many areas: from picking roses and cherries to working in the garden and during hay season. Whatever task came up, he jumped right in with great energy and a smile. Oliver created such a positive and fun atmosphere here — we were genuinely sad to see him go. We’re really grateful for all his support and hope he’ll come back one day. We can fully recommend him to anyone lucky enough to have his help!

this workaway experience was amazing! i stayed both in berrechid and in casablanca and got to meet some nice people from all around the world. harim was always available to answer any questions and very flexible with my arrival and departure dates. would definitely come back! :) -niNa

I spent three weeks here with Amelia and all her wonderful animals. I was lucky enough to spend most of that time painting a big mural on her donkey barn, and getting her winter donkey area ready for the season. Amelia is super lovely and we have a similar attitude towards a lot of things - I loved spending time with her and all the animals. I spent a lot of time hanging out with her lovely dog Annie, the donkeys, and her cats and kittens. Awesome mix of 'my family and other animals' and 'Beatrix Potter' vibes in Portugal. I felt super relaxed and comfortable here, and would love to come back some day!

It was a pleasure to work with Carla. She was very comunicative hardworking attentive and kind person .

Nischal and his family are very warm and accommodating people. Thank you for accepting my last minute request and including me in all you activities. The work here is minimal and easy so a good place to relax aswell. My highlight was the tour and trek it is a must do and see to get outside of Kathmandu and the scenery is totally astounding some if the most beautiful I have seen. There are other workaways here also so it is a very social environment. I highly recommend this workaway.

Lou has been an excellent volunteer. She is very organized, brings great energy and spirit and is very helpful in many ways. Having had her here for 4 weeks was a real blessing.

I think I can safely say that having Hillary and Becky stay for a month with me was one of my best Workaway experiences and offered a richly reciprocal exchange on all sides and in many different ways. I appreciated many things for example, they were very easy to share a space with and take responsibility for the upkeep of shared areas without having to be asked. They were happy to hang out with me and also to take their own space. They were open to clearing up potential miscommunications and to receiving feedback. They showed great kindness and sensitivity to a kitten which arrived at the house and without their ongoing attention at the early stages, I would not have had the resources to keep her. I am very grateful for this. Today, a few days after they have left, I went into my shed and noticed that one of them had swept the floor. A lovely surprise. This was a common occurrence - that they would see what might need to be done and get on with it, while at the same time checking with me if they were unsure. I really appreciated that they can work intelligently from a list of tasks, prioritising them and making decisions themselves about when might be the best time to do them, given weather restraints. I could fully trust that they were putting in the hours in ways that were mutually beneficial and I appreciated that they needed their own self care routines which they were able to undertake. At the same time, I know that they can work to other people's deadlines very well where required. They like making a difference wherever they are and many parts of my house and garden bear witness to this - a proper compost system, salvaging the overgrown polytunnel and outside vegetable garden, painting furniture, cleaning a very grimy oven until it sparkled and many other things. They understand growing and gardening and have a sensitivity to the way plants want to thrive. If you are contacted by this extraordinary couple who work excellently as a team, don't hesitate in responding, you will not be disappointed. Hillary and Becky, as you know, you are welcome back anytime.

An incredible experience from start to finish! I was welcomed like a member of the family from the very first day. The place is peaceful, surrounded by nature, far from the stress of the city. I learned how to take care of different animals and did lots of gardening and DIY work — there’s always something to do, never a dull moment! The food is always amazing, often shared with the lovely neighbors, and I’ve honestly never eaten lamb and beef so tender 😋 I first came for Christmas 2024 and ended up coming back four times in ten months because it was just that good. It truly became my second family, and leaving them was heartbreaking ❤️ I 100% recommend this place to anyone. Thanks for everything! Can't wait to see them again in Europe and come back to my second home !

I stayed at Romi's for a about one week and the experience was great and a REAL cultural exchange. His house is in the middle of a jungle. Banana trees, monkeys, pineapples will be all around. The food is very good: Romi's brother goes fishing with an incredible techinque (you will see when you get there) and we frie all the fishes for dinner. Accomodation is very simple but does the job. He loves the jungle and all the animals. He will make you do a jungle trek where you can see all kind of animals and truly relax in the nature. He will show you his family and other daily places and activites of an indonesian family that very rarly you could see as a normal tourist

We welcomed Adam and Karollina onto our property for 3 weeks and they have been wonderful workers and wonderful company.We had a couple of projects that we knew would be fun to work on but they needed some artistic vision as well as practical skills like seed-raising, planting, and basic building skills. They both didn't hesitate for a moment, just set out to prepare, carry soil, mulch and plant our 6 metre square butterfly garden and to build an 'insect kingdom' out of old rotting tree stumps. Both projects were professionally completed and look amazing. We will think of Adam and Karolina every time we look at those two delightful spots in our garden. They also found time to weed the asparagus beds (a challenging job), weed and mulch the berry cage, and do a number of painting jobs. They are thorough and neat in their tasks and work with enthusiasm even when the spring weather is wet and windy. Adam and Karolina are funny and interesting and have given us great insights into life in the Czech Republic and the UK where they are currently living. We feel lucky that they chose us out of all the Workaway Hosts available.

This was my first Workaway experience and I had a lovely time with Catherine and Liam during my two week stay. The room was very comfortable and private, the food, exceptional, and both Catherine and Liam were gracious hosts. The animals were friendly and well behaved and I really enjoyed their company as well. I felt welcome and supported during my time with them. I primarily helped with weeding and cutting back bamboo during my stay, but I had plenty of time to explore the National Park (beautiful!) and downtown Killarney. Lovely people in a wonderful location! Thank you, thank you!

We spent a bit over a month here, and it was a really beautiful experience. Junko and Franck are incredible hosts — kind, thoughtful, and always making sure we felt comfortable and welcome. They created such a peaceful atmosphere, and we really enjoyed sharing conversations with them. They even surprised me with something special for my birthday, which was so touching. The amenities are amazing — a huge and beautiful garden, a tennis court, and a pool surrounded by nature. The rooms are super comfortable and well-equipped, and it really feels like home. There are always several other Workawayers around, which makes the experience even better — we met such wonderful people during our stay. We'll keep wonderful memories of our time here! I spent a month with Wojtek and his family for my very first Workaway experience — and I couldn’t have asked for better hosts! From the moment I arrived, they welcomed me as part of their family. I was always well-fed, comfortable, and surrounded by kindness. We worked together on a few DIY projects, picked fruits from the garden, and exchanged language lessons — I helped them with English, and they taught me so much about Polish traditions and culture. The work was very manageable and enjoyable. Wojtek even took me around his hometown to explore beautiful local spots, which I truly appreciated. I had so much fun spending time with the children — we played board games, and I was even invited to visit their school! His wife is an amazing person and an incredible cook and baker; every meal was delicious. This experience was truly unforgettable. I feel that I’ve built a lasting bond with Wojtek and his family — we’re now friends for life and still keep in touch. If this is your first Workaway and you feel a bit unsure, I highly recommend this family. They made me feel completely at home, cared for, and appreciated. I’ll always be grateful for this beautiful experience. ❤️

We hosted Irene during September. During her stay we learnt a lot about Italian culture and cooking my eldest son learnt how to make meatballs and we made homemade pizza (without pineapple). Irene was polite and kind at all times, and was able to take care of the boys. We introduced her to some Australian sports like oz tag which my younger son plays. I would recommend hosting Irene in your home if you have the opportunity.

Lara stayed with us during August. From the moment she arrived we connected and felt so comfortable with her. She was always happy, positive and engaging. My sons appreciated having her play with them, my youngest built a strong connection with Lara. I would recommend hosting Lara in your home.

We stayed for three weeks with this amazing family and everything went incredibly smoothly. They are awesome people, kind at heart, super welcoming, and very fun to be around. During our time with Diddi, Editka, and the kids, we had the opportunity to share stories, experiences, and points of view on many deep, interesting topics — and of course, good laughter! The work was never too demanding, nor did they ever push us hard; on the contrary, they gave us the chance to explore the beautiful nature of Iceland through the eyes of a local. Instructions on what to do were always clear, and together we would discuss how to take on assigned tasks according to their views/needs and the expertise we could share. They are beautiful people, and we spent real quality time with them. We are indeed grateful and happy we had the opportunity to connect with them through this platform — cannot recommend enough to go and share a bit of your lifetime with them. Oh, hi guys! I stayed one week with Putra and Maja. they were extremely nice and welcoming hosts, making me feel at home from the first minute. their home is surrounded by trees, it's a calm and clean place where I had my own little bungalow which was super nice. The local food made by Vitria and Maja is especially delicious. For the work: prepare to work independently and on your own. you can bring in own ideas and communicate with Putra what needs to be done in that moment. I helped setting up a web host provider, for example. overall, it was an extremely positive experience. I'd also recommend going on the trek with Putra or some of the guides from his company as they're definitely following the ethical guidelines of a jungle trek.

Miguel a passé 2 semaines chez moi et c'étaient de très bons moments. Il sait tout faire de ses mains, s'adapte, donne des idées, s'implique dans la conversation, partage plein d'expériences de ses 10 années de Workaway. Il est si volontaire que nous avons imaginé de nouveaux chantiers ensemble. Il a toujours été efficace et de bon conseil. Il s'intéresse beaucoup à l'art et rêve d'écrire bientôt un scenario de film. Je le recommande sans réserve ! Et suis prête à t'accueillir chez moi à nouveau quand tu veux !
