I just returned from this Workaway at Uttam's place and as I was flying home to Hungary, I was crying because I just want to go back immediately. I was staying for 5 weeks and I had the opportunity to do a trek with Uttam and our small group, I still can't believe I did climb up to 5416 meters! During the actual Workaway time, I was cleaning the Café and I also painted two mandala murals, my first ever ones in my life and I'm very grateful for this opportunity. I'm so sorry about my cooking skills though!! I had the most delicious Dal Bhat at this place as well. My stay in Dhulikhel was absolutely magical thanks to Uttam, his son Ujjwal and Uttam's nephew Sahadev and also all the nice people I met there. I'm coming back next year to see everybody again! I'm not good with words, I'm better with just feelings and my biggest wish is to go back here and see all of you again. This place, the people, Nepal, the food, the dogs and other animals and the trek will be always in my heart and I'm planning my next visit, I already checked plane tickets. See you soon!! Also if you visit this place, feel free to ask Uttam or Sahadev for treks, they know everything and they can guide you!

Lisa is a fantastic teacher and very organized! You’ll learn so much from her and enjoy delicious, healthy meals straight from the farm. The work can be tough in the heat, but she’s very understanding and lets you go at your own pace. I loved learning about the plants, using the machete, and meeting local farmers. An eye-opening experience with stunning views!

Ho trascorso cinque mesi meravigliosi nel nord della Sardegna, in una casa immersa nella natura e circondata dal silenzio delle colline sarde e dal cielo stellato. È stata un’esperienza che porterò sempre con me. Ho avuto l’opportunità di imparare tante cose nuove e di contribuire in diversi modi: dalla pulizia della casa, a dare da bere al giardino e al frutteto, dalla verniciatura dei serramenti alla sostituzione delle zanzariere e lavoretti simili, fino alla cucina. Ogni giorno era diverso e sempre arricchente. Angela, Laura e Silvia sono state davvero gentili, accoglienti e disponibili... persone meravigliose, divertenti, dalle quali non si finisce mai di imparare — mi hanno fatta sentire parte della famiglia fin dal primo momento. Con loro è nato un legame di affetto sincero. Il luogo è semplicemente favoloso: la natura qui è autentica e potente, e ogni tramonto o notte stellata regala emozioni difficili da descrivere. Consiglio di venire con la propria macchina, perché permette di esplorare meglio i dintorni nei momenti liberi. Non sono andata in Sardegna per il mare, ma il mare che ho visto non lo dimenticherò mai. Durante la mia permanenza ho anche avuto modo di conoscere persone sarde e scoprire la loro cultura, ricca di tradizioni e calore umano. E poi... i gattini! Bellissimi e affettuosi, una compagnia dolcissima che rendeva ogni giornata ancora più speciale. Un’esperienza che consiglio di cuore a chi ama la natura, la tranquillità e i luoghi autentici. Grazie di cuore per Tutto, Vi porterò sempre nel mio cuore!

I stayed at Eric's lodge for 10 days and it was a very nice experience. I helped a bit in the garden and a bit in the cleaning of the rooms and the breakfast. Eric wasn't all days there but we had a great communication and when he came back it was nice to meet him and spend some time with him, he's very welcoming and open, very friendly and kind. He speaks different languages so you can communicate easily with him. He's very easy going. The team that works there is adorable as well, I had very nice conversations with Manuel and he helped me a lot, I learned many things about the zone that is super beautiful and you'll have some time to discover this beautiful area of Peru. I wish I had more time to spend there but I hope to go back there when back to Peru. The ecolodge is beautiful and the mountains around are amazing!

Aswin was a great support during the three weeks he spent with us. He helped us tremendously with our tasks and is an extremely friendly and respectful person. His helpfulness and positive attitude made a big difference. We also love his Indian cooking, which we enjoyed together on some evenings. Aswin, I hope we see each other again someday. Bonnie & Jean were a great help during their stay with us. Both were really sociable & always eager to help. Wether it was gardening, helping with the apartment or helping out with our son Marcs building project, they both were enthusiastic & always ready to lend a hand. Many interesting conversations were had around the table about politics or just about the ups & downs in live.Bonnie is a kean herbalist & a great addition to gardening & cooking. We had some birthdays while they stayed & got little thoughtful presents. It was a real pleasure to have them stay & we d happily welcome them again.

Lisa stayed with us for almost four weeks in October and was a great help. She works diligently and with attention to detail, can work both independently and as part of a team, and is always pleasant to be around. Her positive and friendly nature makes her a real asset. She quickly integrated into our everyday life and family life, and we enjoyed the time we spent with her. Her great independence was particularly important to us and rather unusual for a young girl. In short, she is a huge help and we already miss her. Thank you again, Lisa. We hope to see you again. Good luck on your journey.

Emin is a powerhouse! Always positive, always proactive, so versatile in his skills and dedicated in the way he approaches his work, even if it’s new to him he puts heart and soul in to everything he does and wont’t stop until its perfect. A great guy to have and be around, he brings light in to everything day, hard working, polite, highly skilled in so many areas and great to communicate with on so many subjects. He’s well travelled and well educated with a positive outlook on life. If you get the chance to host him… please say no, I want him back! 😂 I highly recommend Emin for all the reasons above and so many more!

Maria & Andy came to look after our Labrador Blacky & our cat Buiscuit, while we were on holidays. We only met 1 day prior to our departure. Maria and Andy are a lovely couple & looked after our pets very well. In addition they did some serious weeding in our garden/driveway. Unfortunately we did not meet on our return, but we want to thank them for looking after our pets which was a great help. We happily recommend them to other hosts.

Roxana a su s'adapter aux differents travaux proposés. Elle a aussi montré un bel intérêt pour la découverte des activités locales. Elle est fait preuve d'un esprit souple. Roxana was able to adapt to the different tasks assigned to her. She also showed a keen interest in discovering local activities. She demonstrated a flexible mind.

Jacob is a great guy, always a smile and always a pleasure to be around. He is dedicated, hard working, keen to learn and never lets you down, always finishing the job , but only when he’s satisfied it’s good enough. A really hard worker and enjoyed his time off too, visiting far off places to learn about the local history. Intelligent, thoughtful and kind, always willing to get on and get the job done and when he’s done he simply finds something else to do. A really great help in the work we were doing, as a person and a workawayer I highly recommend him!

Hi everyone, I've been staying at Elliot's for two weeks and it's the best place I've ever been amazing place and food . I've met wonderful people and I recommend it 100%.

Laura and Jazmin are AMAZIIING! I had two incredible weeks with them, I could have stayed much more, since I felt at hom esince the first moment. They both made me feel very welcome and at home, I left from their house with many difficulties, because I wanted to travel, if not, I could have stayed there for looooong time! I had very interesting conversations with Laura and lots of fun with Jazmin. She's a fantastic kid, with a lot of imagination and we had a lot of fun together! They respect a lot your personal time and space and this is very nice. We did a lot of stuff together and I felt part of the family. Huanchaco is very beautiful with very nice people. I miss Laura, JAzmin and Huanchaco already and I'm looking forward to come back sooooon!

UJ was an amazing volunteer at our hostel! He was hardworking, reliable, and always had a positive attitude. UJ helped with various tasks, from reception duties to cleaning, or even hosting some activites at night and always did so with enthusiasm. He was great with guests, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, and fit in well with our team. We highly recommend him to any future hosts – he’s a pleasure to work with!

I spent 1 week with Guilia and Gianni, their daughter and cats, and 1 other volunteer. A short experience organised for olive harvesting, and sharing any other tasks surrounding the picking process. First off, I greatly appreciated Guilia's clear communication in saying that the harvesting process could be tiring and potentially longer hours, so i was prepared for this. I appreciate being asked if it was ok to share the room and bathroom with another volunteer. The bedroom is comfortable and cute, though, there was generally not a lot of privacy for this reason, as the bathroom is attached to the bedroom, and their living room is also the same room as the kitchen. That's ok because i wasn't going for the experience of isolation , i was going for the experience of sharing (work and general cultural exchange). I mention this because i am someone who, in longer term experiences, appreciates quiet space to relax alone sometimes , which i didn't find inside. Only 1 week though , so not too difficult for the soloists ;) The other thing is that the house is pretty isolated, down a long driveway, and behind a gate. In terms of the work - the first day i found difficult, and then learnt the process better for picking and how to work together as a team. Yes it was intense, and sometimes communication in the field didnt feel clear to me. I appreciate that it is an important week to the family, so a lot of energy is put into getting things 'right'. I understand being there for 1 week is a short time, and unfortunately i had to shorten to stay beforehand because of a change of circumstance after the workaway. Overall, i am very glad to have had this experience, and meet kind and hardworking people. Thank you G ,G ,B , C , M , M , and of course Elora too. Much love

This was my first volunteer experience, and it was truly amazing. I came for one month and ended up staying ten. Later, I also worked as an employee for six months. I have no words to describe this place — the vibe is so special that everyone comes back, whether they’re volunteers or guests… or they just never leave. This has become my second family and my community. I’m so grateful to Ale and Pasquale for allowing me to live this beautiful experience. I know I’ll come back — this place will always hold a special place in my heart. If you want to meet incredible people, this is the right place.

Dear Lena, dear Nico Wow, what we’ve accomplished together! Thanks to your wonderful help, we’re now ready for winter. Your friendly and open-hearted way has truly enriched our family, and your hard work has left its mark on the farm. First of all we would like to thank Giuseppe Loredana and Gennaro once again, it was a pleasure to have the opportunity to spend some time in such a beautiful place. Throughout the whole time of our stay we felt very welcomed. If you’re looking for a place to get away from the rush of everyday life, spend time in charming Italian countryside surrounded by hills rivers and animals you can search no more because you just found a right place. Mostly Giuseppe is involved in all the Workaway stuff as he is the only one in a family who speaks English. He’s an awesome guy, positive chill and always helpful. Every day he was making sure we have everything we need and feel okay. The work itself was never too hard, rewarding and adjusted to weather conditions. Working hours are flexible, the communication is super clear and in your free time you can do whatever you want.Our daily tasks were mainly taking care of the animals in the morning ( chickens, donkeys, horses ), gardening, general maintenance of agriturismo, pool etc. There was also space to learn some practical skills and get creative with for example building wooden construction for cute little chickens, a horse fence etc. What’s also worth mentioning is that everything is very ethical all animals are well treated and have plenty of space walking freely. some organisation info that’s good to know: it’s a pretty remote place, perfect for relaxing and spending time in nature but there’s also possibility to explore the surroundings. During our 3 week stay we managed to spend 3 days in Beautiful city of Parma ( about 1h away from the farm ) you can get there by public transport, the nearest bus stop 20 min walking distance. Langhirano the closest city to the farm ( 10 min by car ) is not too extraordinary but there are some big supermarkets and a few restaurants. Accommodation wise you would stay in classic italian house shared with Giuseppe ( separate rooms), equipped kitchen and bathroom.
