Romain is an interesting character. He so willingly worked super long extra hours as he was determined to finish started projects and jobs. He did a fantastic job with fencing and gate issues on the chicken coop. He fixed broken things, cleaned and organized and built shelves in our garden sheds and utility room. He came up with suggestions for improvements and he went above and beyond what was asked of him. He likes joking and teasing. He compliments us by asking to come back with his new wife to share our country lifestyle. Thank you Romain for all the work you did we will always have good memories of you when we see the tidy garden sheds and use the shelves you built us. We hope that God will direct your paths and wish you well in the future.

Theo will be welcome wherever he goes. He is interested in all subjects and quite handy. He very accommodatingly helped with numerous tasks around the house. He cheerfully helped with firewood, trenching the orchard, moving heavy furniture and cleaning behind the piano, fridges and china cabinets....We especially enjoyed discussions we had with him. Please do come back in the future as you will be most welcome. To any host reading this, do not hesitate to have him stay with you.

Dear center, I was lucky enough to meet this very broad and diverse community of humans, and stay with them for almost two months! Between household tasks, dogsitting, working in the coffee shop, on the grounds or in the kitchen, the work was always fair and the manager was very mindful about our working hours and helped to arrange our own schedule. The kindness of the residents and the beauty of their intentions is truly contagious, and peace follows accordingly on the property. It was an incredible chance to take part in teachings and sharing so many meaningful discussion with monks, nones and the wonderful residents or guests. I learned there that sprituality is connecting to others and to yourself. The heart beats. Beautiful grounds and forest, wonderful vegetarian food. I recommend :)

we had such an amazing time staying with sophie! she was so friendly and welcoming, and so were her many cats. it was wonderful to be a part of her project, the work was straightforward and nothing intense. we went on a hike in the beautiful mountains, saw the cute town nearby, and tried the pomegranates and oranges that she grows in her garden. overall very peaceful place and relaxing experience 🌸💕

Saki has a fun outlook on life and met all challenges with enthusiasm and curiosity. She helped us with housework, chickens and garden work. She enjoyed visiting Montreal and Ottawa and was happy to join in family events. I don't think she will ever see again such a big bonfire as we had to celebrate my son's birthday day. She made friends wherever she went. We wish her well in future travels and adventures.

Ciao a tutti! More than a loved place, it is a place of community, creation, laughter and wonderful people ! The three months i spent there last winter, between gardening, helping in the kitchen or in the ceramic studio and living the sweetest months of my adult life - were truly incredible. Andrea and Chandra are generous, open-minded people, always ready to make each of us feel at ease. The way Chandra tries to find the task that will fulfill YOU the most, was very mindful. I was lucky enough to spend the most wonderful Christmas with them, and felt like this little community (including the people of Vetulonia) became family. Thank you to Meri, Lau, Andrea, Chandra and all the other volonteers who made this little hill in the middle of Tuscany a place of learning and growing together. And if there will always be something to be done, there will also always be something to be felt. Grazie mille Ciao a tutti! Grazie mille.

Gabriel was truly a blessing. We found him to be very easygoing and a pleasure to be with. Though many of the tasks I gave him to do were new to him, he used good commonsense and also asked when he wasn't sure. He was always a willing and cheerful worker. With his help we accomplished more than expected. He cooked some very good meals too and we really miss his company. If you have the good fortune to be offered his help, don't hesitate to accept!

Lauren was an excellent workaway. Her enthusiasm and positive attitude was much appreciated. She is a terrific cook and is very creative and efficient in the kitchen. I enjoyed working with her from the first day she arrived. She fit into my lifestyle seamlessly. If she offers to come work for you, snap her up!!

This was a wonderful place to end my year of travelling around Australia and NZ. Jodie is the loveliest person and will make you feel right at home and a member of the family. Very beautiful small quaint town on the South Island, only 5 minute walk from the farm. Jodie is very flexible with work hours and was extremely grateful for any help. Missing my evening snuggle with Maggie the cat! Jodie is very thoughtful and caring and you will be entertained by Kevin's 'kiwi-isms' and stories. I would absolutely recommend Jodie and Kevin as your next Workaway family.

Heather was the most caring, generous and lovely person to spend a month with. The cottage was absolutely stunning, I had a very big comfortable space to stay, use of the paddle boards and the beach. The work was interesting and varied, i felt like i learned a lot during my stay with Heather. The work included moving wood, bringing in the dock, some painting, organising, cooking etc. Heather made me feel like part of the family/ community and introduced me to her friends and neighbours which made the experience a great cultural exchange which I thoroughly enjoyed. I would recommend Heather's workaway experience to anyone.

We enjoyed having Manuel with us for two and a half weeks. He is a hardworking young man who approached every task with care and energy. From helping build a new platform for our garden shed, to stacking firewood, shredding branches, moving dozens of wheelbarrows of soil, planting new garden plants, and even helping with the family dishes, he handled everything with great skills and attention. Manuel has a friendly and curious nature and is easy to talk to. Having him as a French teacher was a real bonus for us — communication was smooth and effortless. We really appreciated his help.

Volunteering at the Foundation was truly a life-changing experience. I was supposed to stay for six months but had to leave earlier after two and I honestly wish I could have stayed much longer. The time I spent there taught me more about myself than I could ever put into words. I deeply admire the amazing work they do with the children. Working with them was heart-warming and inspiring. But my most special memories are definitely with Nandini, Jyoti, and Yeshwant. They welcomed me like a family member from the very beginning we shared meals, watched movies, laughed together, and they showed me so much of their culture and daily life. I learned a lot about India, but also a lot about myself. They always took care of me with so much love and kindness, especially with my allergies. they adapted everything to make sure I was okay. I felt safe, supported, and part of something truly beautiful. I can honestly say I now have a family in India. I will forever be grateful for this time, for the laughter, the deep conversations, and the love I received. If you are thinking about volunteering here, don’t hesitate. it’s an experience that will change your heart and your perspective on life. big thank you on the whole Team. I will always be so grateful for having the experience to stay at the foundation. Saanjh Alicia ❤️

This couple was a delight to have, hardworking, fun , good company. Amazing how much got done in only one week. We now have enough firewood stacked away for several years. They were very practical and organized, interested in culture, food and history , they also cooked a delicious meal and held the kitchen and everything absolutely spotless and clean. Thank you Harry and Julie for your help and good company, look forward to seeing you again some time in the future. John and Sabine

The garden is a cozy place in which time seems to stop sometimes. A special place, with spacial people and many things to do. Also Hillerød deserves to be mentioned, I liked it. A big goodbye to the garden and its people! Federico.

In the middle of the forest, there's this village called Podproč, where you can find this warm and welcoming family. I had a great stay there, they took care of me about everything. I've had the chance to try a sauna more than once, we hiked together in the forest, we went sledding on the garden... And they're alright about antlers, so many of them in the forests around. I hope to go back there, Thank you so much Zina, Lana, Martina, Filip and Berty...

I had never imagined that it would be possible that someone came along loving my dogs more than I do. But rest assured that Aylen and Juan do! They loved and treated my dogs in a way I could not even have wished for (I was not quite sure if my dogs would even wanted me to come back home haha), pampered them all the best possible way. I kept getting pics from my dogs adventures in the woods, on the beach at sunset and Pippilotta being taken around on a skateboard, with a big smile on her doggie face and her ears flapping in the wind.... When Nino's health crisis arose, they dealt with it incredibly professionally, keeping me up to date, doing the driving to the vet and taking care of his injuries super lovingly. I will be forever grateful to Aylen and Juan. Not to mention that the house was taken care of wonderfully, the terrace painted ....and on top we had massive fun doing a photoshoot with Juan, make sure to book one with him if you can!! Aylen and Juan were absolutely lovely, quiet in a good way and delightful to be around. We still miss them 2 weeks later and cannot wait to welcome them back soon!

First of all: Barbara's place and its surroundings are BEAUTIFUL. In the middle of the mountains, amazing views, lovely starry nights. The work was varied (from weeding to fixing machines or things in the house to caring for the animals and working in the greenhouse). Most of it was definitely physical labor but Barbara pays attention to your abilities. We worked 25 hours a week but were able to decide ourselves how we divided them over the week. The food was always tasty and healthy and Barbara adapted to all our intolerances and preferences - we always had everything we needed. Like seriously, she bought everything we asked for :D The house is big and pretty and we enjoyed having our own rooms with comfy beds. We also enjoyed having other workawayers there and it still never felt too crowded. Barbara herself is super friendly and interested in you and understanding, which we really appreciated when we got sick. She does have a clear idea of how she likes things to be done but trusted us with our tasks. Overall we spent a really nice month here and enjoyed our time! Dankeschön Barbara für die schöne Zeit 😊

I originally planned to stay with Kerrianne and Marc for just two weeks. When my next accommodation fell through, they offered me to stay longer and in the end, I was so lucky to spend four wonderful weeks with them. From the very first day, I felt completely at home. There’s something about this place that gives you a deep sense of peace and belonging. Marc and Kerrianne are incredibly warm, open-hearted, and genuine people who welcomed me like one of their friends. Marc has been working with nature for decades — it’s not just what he does, it’s who he is. He has spent years regenerating land, both his own and that of others, and you can see the results everywhere you look. Their property is greener and more alive than anything around it, full of native plants, insects, wallabies, kangaroos, colorful birds and so much more animals to see and hear. We didn’t just help out, we really learned. He showed us how to plant native species, how to recognize and remove invasive plants, and how to work with the land instead of against it. His knowledge is incredible and I loved the joy he has in sharing it. When he talks about his work he lights up. It changes the way you look at nature. One of our jobs was also helping in the garden. It’s incredible what grows there—so much fruit, vegetables, and herbs. It was fascinating to see how fruits and vegetables that I only know from the supermarket back home actually look when they grow. Kerrianne puts so much effort into the garden; she once told me that her garden is like a “church“ for her - that she finds peace there. I absolutely loved that! Her care and effort shows in everything she grows. Their pets are absolutely adorable — the sheep, the ponies, the cows — they all have so much personality! You can tell how much Kerrianne and Marc care for them. They live with such respect for nature and animals. You can also see that mindset in the meals. Both (and of course their son Jy!) are amazing cooks. Every meal was delicious and full of fresh ingredients from their garden. And Kerrianne makes so many things from scratch. It's just amazing how creative she is - she experiments with ingredients and then it actually turns out really tasty! Eating together was always a highlight of the day, not just because of the food, but also because of the conversations, stories, and laughter we shared around the table. Besides work, they always made sure we had fun and really felt part of their lives. Marc often took us to the beach when he was kitesurfing, and we played card games, pool, went to local festivals and music nights. They always wanted to share what they enjoy with us. What made it really special was how they included us in their circle, introducing us to their friends and even them inviting us to their homes. Everyone was so warm and welcoming, and being part of those moments made the whole experience even more memorable. I can say that staying with Kerrianne and Marc was one of the highlights of my travels. It's hard to describe this place in words, because it just gave me such a strong sense of belonging. It was one of those places that’s very hard to leave. Thank you so much, Marc and Kerrianne, for sharing your stories, your amazing food, your laughter and for opening your home and your heart. I’m so grateful for the time I spent with you! Miss u a lot… I’ll come back! ❤️

Although the weather wasn’t ideal, I enjoyed my three-week stay with Ines. I worked with the horses, Ljufur and Atli, and helped take down the summer fence and put up the winter one. I enjoyed working outside in the beautiful nature, right beside the fjord and surrounded by mountains. We had delicious dinners. I would definitely come back! I would recommend staying with Ines to Workawayers who want to go to northern Norway. Thanks for the good time!
