Anica was a great guest and helper. I think this was her 1st workaway but she fit right in. I appreciate her good nature, really wanting to learn, meticulous work, sharing of her thoughts and experiences, openness to adventure whether when work brings surprises (as building often does) or there's a spontaneous opportunity to see a fun side of the nature and community. Anica has a special strength, wisdom, compassion and more, beyond her years. As she says in her review of my hosting, my space is not the biggest, but it was easy with her. Lots of good times. Thank you so much.

A tree house in Tuscany! Grazie Lorenzo for the amazing stay! I painted, mowed, cleaned, dug and explored in Lucca to end my ver first winter in Europe and what a way to finish it. My last workwayer that season and it was truly a blessing to meet these hosts. New and refreshing experience that I needed. With summer around the corner and visitors coming back adventures to meet me. It made my experience all the more memorable and worth it in the end. Volunteering can be hard work. Again thank you for the experience and unfortunate it wasn't longer. Salute!

Enjoying the experience as it was is the key here during the winter. I know people go during summer time as to experience the theatre and surrounding area. The truly challenge here is to visit here during the winter months as the work will push you and challenge you. I walked away from this having built doors, a storage container and fixing things with the knowledge I had and was given I'll take that knowledge with me now and it will help me in the future. A different experience than others but learnt what I could and the short stay I had here. Bouna Fortuna!

Driven, headstrong, ambitious. I only hope I learnt some of these traits from Arturo during my stay here. Great attitude to practicality and its necessities. Farm work is never easy work. Especially for me doing it the first time. It was just nice to see finally what it is like as my grandfather lived his life in such a way. Miss you already Fratello. Thanks for helping me out and letting me assit you and learn something new from your trade. See you!

Colm and the recruits! What an exchange. From debating challenging topics to singing and dancing in the barn. Lovely guy, great spirit. Easy to see that the place he has built has had many visitors coming to enjoy the hospitality. As for me, it was a great pleasure to assist where I could with a roof over my head and some steady company. Chestnut pancakes. 8am SHARP. Cheers Colm, was a pleasure.

Hello Sieci family! I just want to say thank you for hosting me and giving a great experience. Very warm and welcoming family with lots of enthusiasm. From clearing forested areas to building cabinets, it was a joy to help out during my stay here. I hope you all achieve your goals set for the property and take care of yourselves during those winters just as you did me. Again, thank you for the experience. Enjoy.

From the moment I arrived, I felt like part of the family. Yoan and DIka are such a joyful and kind-hearted couple. They made me feel so welcome and cared for like I'd known them forever. Meeting the extended family was just as wonderful. Everyone was so warm and open especially Nenek, who spoiled me with her delicious homemade meals and always followed them with sweet hugs. At the school, the teachers greeted us (with Chloe) with kindness and big smiles every day. They created such a positive and friendly environment, and I felt lucky to be part of it. Binjai itself has a beautiful sense of culture. Even the neighbors were curious and excited to connect, always ready with a smile and a genuine interest in learning about where I come from. This experience touched my heart deeply. I'll carry these memories with me forever! The laughter, the meals, the warm hugs and all the moments that made it feel like home

We both really loved our time at Biokovina working alongside Fadil, Tom and Cara. We intended to stay two weeks, which ended up turning into seven! The work was mostly construction work, and we learnt many new skills during our time. It was incredible to share meals communally, sometimes with a group as large as 14. The animals are all amazing, and we got the chance to connect with people in the village, sharing food, music and conversation. The setting is beautiful, up in the hills surrounded by nature. Thank you so much for an incredible experience, we hope to see you again in the future. Big love, Sarah & Josh :)

James and Magda stayed with me for about three weeks, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a more productive or pleasant experience. From day one, they were considerate, kind, and easy to have in the house—fitting in seamlessly and contributing as thoughtful, reliable team members. Before their arrival, I had prepared a fairly full task list—probably 25% more than I expected we’d get through in the time. Not only did James and Magda complete everything on the list, but we also managed to take on and finish some additional, very worthwhile projects thanks to their initiative and hard work. Their presence made a real difference, both in terms of what we accomplished and the warmth they brought into the home. I’m deeply grateful for all their help, and wish them every good fortune in their travels.

Marie and Alex stayed with me from March 17th to April 5th, and I can honestly say it would be hard to imagine a more productive or enjoyable three weeks. From the moment they arrived, they blended seamlessly into the household—easygoing, thoughtful, and lovely company to have around. I had prepared a fairly ambitious task list ahead of their stay, estimating it might be more work than the time would allow. To my amazement, not only did they complete everything on the list, but they also found time to take on additional small projects that made an even bigger difference around the place. Their organization, diligence, and eye for detail were exceptional. Beyond the practical help, Marie and Alex brought such a positive energy into the house. I simply can't thank them enough for all they did while here. They left things better than they found them in every way, and they are welcome back anytime.

Marwa was our first workawayer ever! She is a hard working, funny and flexible person who is so not complicated to have around the house. She has plenty of workaway experiences so she knows exactly what is expected and how it all works. Super uncomplicated talking to her and really felt like family at home. Indonesia was her last stop before heading home after one year and a half of traveling. And we are very glad we were part of her trip. We recommend Marwa to everyone looking for a reliable and social person who has multiple skills and always smiling around the house. Thank you Marwa!

Joel and Seunghye stayed with our family for a month At Vui village, and they were truly the most amazing guests. From the very beginning, they were warm, friendly, and so respectful they fit in perfectly and quickly became like family to us. My niece and nephew absolutely loved them, and the whole family grew so fond of them that we wished they could have stayed longer. They contributed immensely during their stay. Five days a week, they hiked through the beautiful Kyawea Forest a one-hour walk each way to help us build a chicken house from scratch. They worked hard laying concrete, constructing window frames and doors, and even building chicken cubes. Despite the physical demands, they always brought positive energy and worked alongside local workers with dedication and joy. Beyond the farm work, they were always ready to help around the house. They washed dishes every morning and assisted with dinner preparations in the evening. They enjoyed traditional Kenyan dishes like chapati, mandazi, ugali, masala, and omena and Judy, my sister, loved spending time teaching them. Their appreciation and respect for our culture were truly touching. One of the things that really stood out was their willingness to be part of every aspect of our life they even attend our local church, showing deep respect and openness despite the language barrier. That meant a lot to us. We already miss them dearly, and their presence is still felt in our home. They left behind beautiful memories, and we hope they can return again one day, they will always have a home with us. With love, Esther & Family

It was great staying with Garry in his nice house in a lovely part of the country. Work was fair and rewarding and Garry is a down to earth and solid person. I can greatly recommend this experience.

Anne and Romy were with us in April. Charming girls with a great sense of humor, their English is excellent, we had no difficulty communicating. They worked very well a number of jobs, some of which were physically demanding which they did very well. Our weather was very good in April. All in all it was a lovely experience to be with Anne and Romy, polite courteous and friendly. I wish you well on your journey in life and maybe see you again, You are very welcome thanks. Paddy

Had an amazing first‑time volunteering experience here! The team is warm and helpful, the English Club with the kids is pure joy, and the cultural exchange—from homestay meals to local ceremonies—made every day memorable. Grateful for the chance to help and learn; highly recommend!

My husband and I spent two weeks here, he as a runner for the restaurant, and I working the "bodega" which included the production of the pisco and serving guests who were on tasting tours. The work was usually busy and enjoyable. Most of the staff are very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. I enjoyed interacting with tourists from around the world. If you work hard, they might also find you a discount on tours on your off days, as they have connections with lots of tour companies and guides. We got to visit the sand dunes in Huacachina and the Ballestas Islands/ Paracas National Reserve while we were there, which were both amazing.

We stayed with this wonderful family for 4 weeks we think it was the best workaway we have ever had. From the first moment we felt part of their family. Nick picked us up from the airport when we arrived. We were always involved in their family activities: we went to the stadium with them to watch a Gaelic football game (an amazing experience), we went to the Zoo, we often went to the beach, we went to his children's practice. Dinners were always shared and delicious, Becky is a really good cook. She cooked typical Italian dishes to make us feel at home and let us cook something Italian for them. After dinner we engaged in conversations and Nick took care to make sure we understood the conversation as well as possible. The jobs were very light and easy: restoring and painting chairs and tables, feeding the horses, removing weeds from a small greenhouse, helping around the house with the youngest child (George is great). His children are 4 wonderful and very polite boys. Our accommodation was a really nice room with all amenities and a private bathroom with towels and everything we needed. Every day Becky and Nick asked us if work was ok or if we wanted to do something else. They took care of us from day one by showing attention to our needs. Thanks to them we improved our English. We will never finish thanking this wonderful family for the experience they gave us. We hope to meet them again (this time in Sicily). Thank you Nick, Becky, Ben, Annabel, Esme and George
