Nice full immersion in indian countryside life. Iqbal is helpful and good fun, we went in Roha together to buy things, we talked about experiences and future projects. The place has good potential for developing ideas

This was my first workaway expérience and I couldn’t be happier about it. Work was easy paced, comfortable and Jo and Martina were constantly asking if I was ok with the job, giving me the choice to chose what to do and to take brakes. But there is so much apart from the Workaway job hours to say. We had meals together which was such an amazing time to discuss and talk about our day/to exchange about our cultures and to getting to know each other. I had the chance to also cook some Brazilian dishes and present them new flavours, this made me very happy as well. The bedroom is nice and welcoming , I had my privacy and a lot of free time as well to do what I wanted. Mirepoix is a very small town but so so pretty, there’s hikes to do around and you can easily get the liO bus to go to the nearest towns and discover more about the region. Jo and Martina were always open to give me a ride when needed. I went to Mérens-les-Vals pour aller à le basin d’eau chaude sauvage (c’était super) et au lac montbel. Je recommende bcp!!! La maison est incroyable et l’exchange était super aussi. J’espère vous voir une autre fois et bien sur, ma promesse de vous ramener la cachaça est toujours valable !!! Merci bcp pour ces jours avec vous💕💕💕💕

Emma is great, she has the practical ability to succeed in any task she is given, taking responsibility and offering practical advice. Emma works well with others and fits in well, joining in with all activities, a pleasure to have around, we can recomend her to any host.

Chiara and Julian's family btought us very happy 2 days. I always say hosting is like a travel at home. And this family was definately a great journey. They were very polite, considerate and willing to chat. They always smiled, and were very easy to be with. We had a short trip to nearby area on the first day, which really made the day. Then the highlight came on the second day that Chiara made us a sumptuous dinner including apple pies, pasta and bread. I always like pasta and bread which Chiara made very good of them. I'd never liked apple pie, but Chiara's pie changed my perception, so I ate many large slices. Their children D and E are great kids. They were very well behaved, not afraid of strangers, and are happy to talk to people. THowever, they were also very patient and respect the time when they have to wait. I spent some time getting along with them and really enjoyed the time. We did appreciate their stay and feel a bit sad when we had to say good bye. We look forward to seeing them again, fingers crossed, soon.

We had a wonderful ten days with Jenna. Jenna is easygoing, independent, humorous, communicative, and flexible. She adapted well to the situation. She's a great cook and helped us with everyday tasks.

We had a truly wonderful time with Myrna and Paul! From the beginning, they made us feel at home in the cozy caravan, and always had an open ear for us. We were included in everything and really enjoyed the evenings spent cooking together. The work on the farm was fun and varied, and we appreciated how they always offered to take us when we needed to go somewhere. Thank you both for such a special experience!

Renato and Marianela are an exceptional couple who stayed with us for about two weeks — and what an amazing experience it was! Renato is not only a skilled engineer but also incredibly hands-on and creative. He led a garden construction project from start to finish, handling every detail with care, precision, and impressive problem-solving skills. His ability to turn an idea into reality was a huge asset for us. Marianela is a true ray of sunshine. Her positive energy, kindness, and helpful nature uplifted everyone around her. Together, they were proactive, respectful, hardworking, and simply lovely to have around. We truly enjoyed their company and the incredible contribution they made. We wholeheartedly recommend Renato and Marianela to any future host — you’ll be lucky to have them!

The plan during John's (Earnest) stay was for him to teach me the rudiments of carpentry so that I could use the woodworking machine inherited from my father. I'd long needed to replace a pair of shutters for the small bedroom window, but I didn't dare use the big machine on my own. John spent the first few days making accessories so that I could use the machine safely, then he guided and advised me so that I could make the shutters. On top of all that, he fixed the broken washing machine, the coffee grinder.... and a water leak. Beyond his skills, John was a very pleasant traveler to host, and I warmly recommend him.

J'ai pu apprendre beaucoup de choses sur la vie à la campagne et sur la façon de travailler la terre et les animaux. On peut y profiter de la nature à l'état pur, aussi des instruments de musique, et si vous aimez une fois par semaine passer du temps avec les enfants, Yulen et Luna sont fantastiques ♥. Les déjeuners avec la famille et les amis étaient également très agréables. J'emporte avec moi de bons souvenirs. Je vous remercie.

J'écris ce message non seulement avec le sentiment de bonheur d'avoir passé du temps avec vous, mais aussi à partir de la profonde tristesse dans laquelle j'étais et maintenant plus calme et conscient je peux vous dire merci. Merci encore. Pour avoir été à mes côtés dans mes incertitudes. Vous êtes une belle famille et je souhaite que vous continuiez à donner cette énergie ensemble. Roman est un enfant plein d'énergie et de sentiments comme vous. Fort et fragile à la fois. J'ai participé à la collaboration du projet « cabanon » et j'ai été ravie d'en faire partie. La maison est magnifique et on y dort très bien. Tu mangeras toujours de la bonne nourriture et tu auras un chat qui t'embêtera la nuit pour avoir plus d'amour. Un gros câlin !

My partner and I had an amazing time at Jason's - we were given our own caravan to stay in and had access to an outdoor kitchen and living space that we shared with another Workawayer. It's very communal feeling and we felt at home right away. We loved how social it was as we made good friends and met lots of great people during our stay. The work was varried and enjoyable, mostly in the vegetable garden weeding, mulching, strimming etc.

Ferhat is an absolute 10/10! He was fantastic from the first conversation on. This combination of cordiality, ratiocination, profound knowledge for projects, strong work ethic, philanthropy.... and so much more knowledge, that I don't know where to start/end the list of his wide undertakings in so many ways. Grounded in what he is doing and loving what he is doing, there is a meaning in what he is accomplishing. In consequence of that, every mission is thought through to the end and connected with a feeling. Professional, and combined with an ecological mind. So young and already so matured!! Considering to his trade, Ferhat is able to manage much more tasks as you can demand. Next to Ferhats professional qualities, I really want to highlight his natural cordiality. Getting up with unagitated, but refreshing energy every morning! Ready for long talks, able to deal with the chaotic situation here, willing to do, to undertake, to explore and to be a companion in so many ways. In addition to that, Ferhat did fabulous work- also in the form of an artwork as a gift. Besides of his professional qualities, the delving into new spheres with Ferhat was the greatest benefit for me. We deeply appreciated your stay, and you are more than welcome to come back anytime.

We had a great time staying with Paul for 10 days. Work was both in the garden digging, strimming, weeding and in the house, cleaning. Paul was very welcoming and included us in everything. We both had a lot of great experiences and met lovely, interesting people during our stay ☺️

Pietro stayed with us for two weeks and during this time, he not only worked diligently in the garden but also delighted us with his passion for cooking. He prepared delicate Italian dishes with great skill and creativity. His recipes were a true delight – refined, authentic, and full of flavor. We spent many wonderful evenings together, filled with good conversations, laughter, and culinary highlights. Pietro is a very open, friendly, and helpful person who always contributed with great dedication. The time with him was enriching and passed far too quickly. We are truly grateful for his support and the beautiful moments we shared – and we hope our paths will cross again.

It was great having Myrium here to help with the dogs. She is mature for her age and was good at getting on with the work. I was very grateful for the 3 weeks help she gave me. it was good getting to know her and we enjoyed our evenings watching TV.

I spent a month at David’s place in August 2024 and I loved everything so much that I decided to return in January 2025. Maysou is a beautiful coliving space at the doorstep of the Pyrenees. The house is welcoming, spacious and comfortable. The surroundings are stunning, there’s amazing views everywhere. But the best part is people. Be careful because you might arrive alone and leave with a new wonderful family. I created bonds I know will last forever, and I felt home from the very first moment. At maysou it’s impossible to get bored: between a lively dog, a cat, the most cheerful baby in the universe, the Monday yoga and Thursday café, the house is always a vibrant and an exciting place to be. Regarding volunteering, there’s always a lot to do, but every volunteer get to choose the activity that better suits his/her personality and skills. The work is perfectly balanced and satisfying. I can’t wait to be back!

It was my first workaway experience with Cora and Nico and they were very patient with me, also because I didn't know French and I wasn't very good at English but communication went well. I spent a month in their house. With cora you can take pleasant walks, cook together, she was very kind to me, she listened to me, with patience we communicated well. They made me discover the Vercors area with excursions and also made me try climbing and visit the caves. The place is wonderful, there are mountains and birds singing, so much peace I learned to graft fruit trees and if you are interested Nico can immerse you in the world of bees. Sometimes they welcomed me into their meditation practices. The two dogs Arjuna and ïota are affectionate and obedient and I had a lot of fun going for walks with them and sleeping together! In this house I found so much hospitality, there is always something to do you won't get bored!! Merci beaucoup Cora, Nico, Arjuna and ïota!! A huge hug to you! Bisou ❤️

Elia was an awesome volunteer at our olive orchard for just over a month, and his time here was amazing. Young but super mature, he took on irrigation maintenance, and other minor tasks, with focus and a positive attitude, ensuring our sustainable systems worked perfectly. He solved problems fast. Open minded and relaxed, Elia fit in easily with everyone. He was keen to learn about Cretan traditions and shared his own culture, which led to fun talks. His ideas for the orchard showed he really cared. Elia’s energy brightened our days, and we are going to miss him a lot. Thanks, Elia, for all your hard work!

Axelle and Sholeh, our dynamic duo, are two French students with kind and sweet personalities. In the two weeks they spent with us, they were as keen to exchange cultural experiences and language tips as they were dilligent and helpful at work, picking up on every instruction and accomplishing every task with care and competence. On their last few days here, they even graced us by enhancing our breakfast with some delicious French cuisine. Merci beaucoup, girls!

What a fantastic Workaway experience! Celeste and Craig are warm, loving, and very friendly hosts. I felt at home with them and was given a very warm welcome. I felt truly at home. I had a great time working in the beautiful garden and plenty of time to explore the city and surrounding area. I was rewarded with delicious food. I learned a lot about the country and the Kiwis. An experience I will certainly never forget.
