Jess engaged with all aspects of our Volunteers Work Retreat. She was a gentle and thoughtful presence and a hard worker.

Lisa was a pleasure to have at our Volunteers Work Retreat. She showed a positive attitude to physical work and problem solving. She also worked well as a member of a team.

It was na abaolute pleasure to get to know Hanna and to connect with her. An experience that was supposed to last a couple of weeks turned out into months and we can't express the amount of gratitude we have that we got to know this beautiful soul. Exceptional communicator and a very hard working person that brought so much positive energy to our community that we can't thank her enough and we wish that our paths will cross again some time soon. Respectful towards the others, but also knowing her limits and taking care of her own boundaries that she comunicated very clearly. An abaolute star! Thank you Hania!

I stayed for almost two weeks with Alex and Daisy, who are incredibly generous, caring, pleasant, flexible, and loving. Their dog, Fava, is also very sweet, adventurous, and friendly with other dogs! Working alongside Alex was a pleasure, and we made significant progress on starting and developing the Hugelkultur. I hope they’ll be able to grow their own vegetables quickly. They shared many recommendations for nearby places to explore, perfect for walks or other activities. I also had the opportunity to visit the workshop where Daisy makes ceramics, and I learned a lot about the whole process. The balance between work and free time was fantastic I got to enjoy the environment fully while contributing to the garden. It was a truly rewarding experience and I hope to come back again!

I was blessed to spend 2 weeks with this beautiful family in San Fabian. I felt as though I was a part of the family right away, and I loved how simple their lifestyle was. From helping around the property, to spending time with the kids and dogs; Sue, and Tom took amazing care of me. I am sad that my time in Chile is so limited, I would have loved to spend more time here! Very kind people, and very personable, easy to talk to and great company to share time with. I will miss them and their amazing slice of paradise they get to call home! A great experienceI am honored to be their first workawayer and cant wait to visit again in years to come!

We had such a lovely week staying at Dolphin Bay !! Super beautiful part of the country and absolutely insane views & access to several crystal clear beaches surrounding the land. We were given tasks that were clear and it felt like Mickey and Dave wanted to make sure we were enjoying and were happy with what we were asked to do. Their lovely kids also showed us the beautiful baby button quails they are looking after which was a treat. All our chats with the family were lovely and they suggested some lovely spots in the area for walks in our free time. We were very much left to our own devices to complete the task and then free to spend time on the beaches, use the kayaks and snorkeling gear and getting to explore the Northland. The self-contained caravan is really comfortable and full little kitchen and everything you would need, but very close quarters - perfect for couples/ very close friends! We'd love to spend time here again and definitely will be in touch if/when we are in the area again!

It was fantastic to have Ben and Elle on the team for a few weeks. They were super easygoing and always happy to help wherever needed. They assisted with a lot of painting work as well as other tasks around the property and Elle is also an amazing massage therapist! They are a friendly and reliable couple, and I would highly recommend them to any host looking for an extra set of hands. Wishing you both all the best on your travels ahead!

Greta was an incredibly kind and pleasant person, and we truly enjoyed the time we shared with her. She supported us in our daily life with so much friendliness, calmness, and reliability – she especially helped me a lot, and I am truly grateful for that. We had many lovely conversations and wonderful evenings together, because Greta brings a warm and positive energy with her and naturally creates a comfortable atmosphere in the house. She was also very tidy, attentive, and always noticed where she was needed. It was a really beautiful experience to have Greta with us. She is a wonderful person, and we would be very happy to see her again one day – whether she visits us again or whether we get the chance to visit her. Thank you so much, dear Greta, for your time with us. You are always warmly welcome here! 💛

Enough with the superlatives – but Saskia is another one in the ‘superlative’ category... She arrived the 30th October and will stay until the 30th November. She worked for three weeks and then had two weeks to explore the island... Unfortunately, the weather didn't always cooperate, so we often had to stop work early. However, she did everything that needed to be done during that time (weeding, sowing, pressure washing) perfectly. A brief instruction and she knew what to weed and what not to weed, and the same with the tools/machines. Shortly before she arrived, we unfortunately had to put our 15-year-old dog to sleep and have now got a new dog. Saskia is so empathetic, sensitive and full of compassion – she won our new dog's heart in no time. We now also have five chickens, and Saskia was active there too: cleaning, feeding, letting the chickens sit on her shoulders and stroking them, which was probably a new experience for her. Top notch in terms of work – she is always welcome back and we can recommend her to any host. About Saskia personally: as already mentioned, she is empathetic, sensitive and full of compassion. We thoroughly enjoyed our evenings with her, with good conversations and her insights as a psychologist in somewhat difficult situations with a ‘long-term guest’. In any case, we will only MISS her when she will leave. Dear Saskia – you are always welcome and beijihos...

I am grateful to have found home in Winnie's place! truly, I couldn't ask for a better experience. She had supported me way more than I did to her I suppose. I am lucky to have found family, healing and spiritual regeneration within her temple. Namaste ❤️🙏🏻❤️

I have spend a month with Blu and her family and I highly recommend this place to others volunteers.My job was very simple ,helping in the wegetables garden, helping with cooking which was a great oportunity to learn new recipes and to try tipical food. Blu is realy easy going , very kind and helpful. She was always checking if I need something, she took me to visit other touristic places, I met a lot of her friends. I felt like a part of family, I felt very comfortable there. Frigole is a very cute place, Lecce realy beautiful and a great base to visit other towns. I hope to have possibility to visit them again .

Marjolein has been a great guest during the time she spent at my house. She helped me with the house the day after she arrived in the week end and I give her some things to do when I was at work and let her organize her time to do it. Once I came back to my house, all was perfectly done! She's very kind and clean, I really enjoyed our exchanges, dinners and laughs ! We also had good time outside by visiting a village and have some walks in the nature. So don't hesitate to host her, you will be be in trust and with someone to help you in a lot of domains. She knew some French and speak perfectly English! Her dog Koko was very adorable too and loves chesse :), so be sure she won't be a problem! I recommend Marjolein at 110% !! Thank you for everything and I wish you a great road trip!

David is a Talentes Wood Worker and sympathetic guy who loves to Connect with people. He stayed 2 months at our Place and we had several projects finished with him. We built a tipi together and he used it as his accommodation Space. We also started to Build our big Community Space but couldnt finish it within his time at our Place because the project is too large. Still on it. We recommend David if you are a Host.

It was a great experience. Arnau and Iris are very kind people with big heart. I felt at home with this family, like I was part of it. I recommend!✨

This was my first Workaway experience. It was great because there was a balance of work and free time. I helped to landscape the grounds by creating lovely presentation of the established olive trees and new little trees. With a team of Workaway volunteers, we shifted and placed gravel and stones around the trees. I particularly enjoyed working with the artistic presentation of the stones. The accommodation was cosy and we lit a huge fire every night. Daytime was hot but evenings were chilly in the Sierra Nevada mountains. After work, us volunteers walked through the mountains to La Peza and I also spent a lovely day at Diezma. I started and finished in Granada which was a wonderful cultural experience. Rafa, Esmeralda and their 3 doggies were very welcoming , supportive and helpful. Rafa also gave us some calming spiritual sessions in the dome. It was a great first Workaway experience. Thank you Rafa and Esmerelda for the opportunity to help build your retreat ❣️

I don’t even know where to start! I spent 20 wonderful days with Nasiba, her family, and the kids from both the boarding school and the public school. I always felt welcomed and at home. Our time together was filled with love, happiness, and discovery. Classes were always fun, full of curiosity and enthusiasm for learning English (and not only ;) ). Life in the village allowed me to experience real Uzbek culture and everyday life. We took amazing weekend trips, exploring the Fergana Valley and its traditions. We even had an Italian Halloween night with Pumpkin Pasta al Forno. It truly couldn’t have been better. Thank you, Nasiba! I’ll see you somewhere around the world soon

J'ai passé deux semaines formidables à la ferme de Rémi ! Ce séjour a été un mélange haut en couleur de jardinage, de danse, de feux de camp, d'apéritifs obligatoires, de construction d'un poulailler et bien plus encore. Tout le monde (les habitants de la ferme comme les workawayers) était incroyablement chaleureux et sympathique, je me suis donc tout de suite sentie la bienvenue. Ce séjour va me manquer et j'espère pouvoir revenir un jour ! (Mais de préférence en été, car il faisait déjà assez froid dans la maison des bénévoles en octobre et novembre). Ceux qui viennent à la ferme de Rémis ne doivent pas s'attendre au luxe, mais ils recevront beaucoup de chaleur humaine et vivront des expériences inoubliables ! Merci beaucoup pour ce séjour formidable !!! I spent two wonderful weeks at Remi‘s Farm! The time was a colorful mix of lots of gardening, dancing, campfires, obligatory aperitifs, building chicken coops, and so much more. Everyone (farm residents and Workawayers alike) was incredibly warm and friendly, and I immediately felt welcome. I will miss this time and hope that I can come back one day! (But preferably in summer, as it was already quite cold in the volunteers' house in October and November). Those who come to Remis Farm cannot expect luxury, but they will receive a great deal of warmth and many unforgettable experiences! Thank you very much for the wonderful time!!!
