We had a great time with the family . We only had 4 days with them, but it was precious . Our daughter had amazing time riding horses and ponies and connecting with their kids.

I had the honor be be Barbara and her family’s first volunteer!😊 I’m very grateful they where so flexible and that they let me stay for just a couple days to clean the attic that is now ready to welcome their long term volunteers :) Barbara and Toni are really kind and hospital people and the Vila is a wonderful place to stay in the beautiful Bled! I wish you all the best, thankyou very much and see you soon🙏🫶

It's been a month since I left the shelter and I still think about it every day. My original plan was to stay just a 4 weeks, but I kept on finding reasons to not leave and ended up staying almost 3 months Right from the first minute I was there, I felt welcomed by the host (Molly). From the first day, I felt like my contributions were appreciated and my suggestions were acknowledged The rest of the JETA crew I met were all lovely, helpful and it's inspiring seeing the passion they have for every single one of these rescued animals There is a lot of work to do and a neverending amount of dog poop to pick up. Creative solutions to tasks are welcomed, as well as the ability to follow instructions and work by yourself You will find it hard to say goodbye, both to the people working there and to the animals living there. If you're lucky, you'll find a new furry friend to take home with you 😊

Sabine was a wonderful host. She was very responsive and even picked me up at a last minute. She's warm, funny, easy-going and always available to help. Her place is comfortable and the upstairs area quite private. We did some weeding in the garden as well as general help around the house. It was a very pleasant first workaway experience. Merci Sabine! :))

What a warm, wonderful, and welcoming stay we had with Max and Alizé and kids. It was a smooth transition from arrival to integration with the family, and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. We really felt like a part of the home there, and that made the work much brighter and the heat more bearable. The work was varied, and between the four of us who were there, we got to choose who did what work every morning. Note that while this is a homestead-in-progress, the "amenities" are still nice (hot shower, private bathroom), though simple. Max and Alizé know how to do workaway because they've done it before - this was a cultural exchange and not just a work exchange, and Keelie and I couldn't have wished for it to be any better.

Que hermoso es viajar y encontrar lugares así con gente tan bella. Llegué con la idea de estar 3 semanas y aprender sobre la vida en el campo y me terminé yendo casi 4 meses más tardes, con muchos amigos, conocimientos, experiencias, con la panza llena y el corazón contento! Creo que cualquier cosa que diga quedará chica en comparación a la experiencia que se puede tener en este lugar. Sólo recomiendo a todos a ir, van a disfrutar y aprender mucho. Puedo decir que después de tantos años fuera de Argentina, tenía la idea de volver y experimentar otra vez esa vida de campo, de gaucho, tan característica. Y la verdad me voy feliz de haber elegido este lugar porque completo todasas expectativas y las superó. Seguimos en contacto chicos que puede ser que en cualquier momento vuelva por otras "3 semanas" 😂 Muchas gracias, los quiero a todos!

We had a nice time with Giuseppe&co. Our work consisted of some olive branch transport and cutting and a lot of gardening. We hauled manure, removed grass, and covered terraces. It was hard but rewarding work. If you don't like bees (like Keelie), it may be a challenging setting for you, but the bees proved to be quite friendly! Along with this, we spent time having meals with the family and conversations with Giuseppe. We also had a chance to go on a couple day trips and one weekend trip to Lucca, which was lovely. At the house, there were many places to walk, and the view was always beautiful. You had nothing more than to wake up and step out the door to see a great view. Thanks for being a generous host, Giuseppe!

My stay at Le moulin was blissfully. Nico and Mel are such an inspirational, hardworking and funny duo. I and some other Workawayer a got to prepare firewood for the winter which I love and also learnt lots about gardening. here lives the whole animal kingdom so come help if you like animals;).

Our stay on the Farm was fantastic. We stayed for 12 nights with Ziggy, Allie, Kris, Yvette and Oscar and we made so many good memories there. There are also 3 friendly dogs and a couple of cats to fall in love with too. The farm itself is beautiful with so many trees, plants and fascinating birds (there's a hibiscus tree that grows next to the deck where you can spot the hummingbirds everyday). The veranda next to the main house is a great place to chill in the hammocks and there is also a large dining table there for mealtimes. There's a guest kitchen underneath the main house which has everything you need...just watch your head on the beams if you're over 6 feet.! The cabin where we slept was incredible. It felt like we were sleeping under the stars. The nocturnal sounds of nature are bliss. The washing facilities are in a small creek and it is ideal for a cool swim at the end of everyday. Ziggy loves to put his life jacket on and have fun with you. We helped to clear black plant bags from a large pile of soil while we were there, we also helped paint Allie's logo for her upcoming retreat and ran a few errands. However, the majority of our time was spent hanging out with Ziggy and keeping him entertained (and vice versa!) which was a real pleasure. It was really hard to say goodbye xx We loved the fact the farm was quite remote and away from the tourist trail. It felt like we got to experience Belize village life in a way. The local shops are quite basic but you can find everything you need there or there is a greater selection in Belmopan. We would definitely recommend AtoZ to fellow Workawayer's. Thanks so much for making us feel welcome. We hope to visit again one day and immerse ourselves in the full Jungle Fire Godess experience!

I spent time here with Lucy and her daughter for five days before looking after the animals 4x horses , 2 dogs , 2 cats , 4 tortoises, 2 rabbits and a parrot! while they went on holiday for a week . The morning work consisted of feeds for horses , filling up water and changing rugs , applying fly treatment when warm weather and fly masks . checking the other animals all had water and letting them out for the day . The morning routine which took about a hour and a evening routine which took a little longer as feeding dogs , cats , rabbits and tortoises & parrot . and making sure they are away for the evening and there enclosures shut . In my spare time I had a old car to get to train station to go to day trips I visited Bordeaux, Périgueux and libourne and and local market in Ribérac The location is very rural and there are no buses to get to the train station nearby and the nearest bakery this is the only shop is a 45min walk . I had a lovely time being in nature the area is lovely the weather was beautiful for the second week at least ! first week some flooding :( I met Gillian only briefly but it was lovely to talk with her about her work away experiences. Thankyou to Lucy and Gillian for hosting me on my 1st Workaway it was wonderful and It gave me some more knowledge of the horses and animals and confidence to be able to offer house and pet sitting again in the future. I will remember (not so fondly ) the wake-up calls of moonstone the parrot :) who is very clever !

Mourad ha sido un pilar durante medio año. Es un hombre discreto, hábil, despierto, honesto y muy responsable y trabajador, además de experimentado en tareas del campo...y, si no conoce.el cómo, ¡Lo busca! Se merece trabajar, de voluntario o no, en las mejores condiciones, y quien le acoja, sin duda,.le echará mucho de menos desde el minuto siguiente a su partida. Como nosotr@s! We were lucky enough to be able to coincide with Louise, despite many backs and forth on my part, she was always predisposed and eager to be part of Casa. She helped us a lot since other workaways canceled us at the last minute and she did her best to get there. Once she was at home and explained how the work was, I didn't need to repeat things or control. She is very dedicated, responsible and above all puts a lot of love to what she does. Always predisposed to help guests even if they were not on their work shift. He speaks Spanish very well and that was very useful. I recommend it without hesitation! And we hope you visit us again in the future.

I spent two weeks with the family, and it was truly a wonderful experience! Marco, Béatrice, and their daughter Mathilde are very welcoming, warm, and funny people! They helped me a lot with my French and took the time to show me around their region. The work wasn’t difficult, and I could always take a break if I needed to. I learned a lot about the culture, gardening, cooking, etc. They’re a very sociable family, so I met lots of people at their home, which was always a pleasure. I recommend everyone to do a Workaway with them ! J'ai passé deux semaines chez la famille, et c'était vraiment une belle expérience ! Marco, Béatrice et leur fille Mathilde sont des gens très accueillants, chaleureux et drôle ! Ils m'ont beaucoup aidée avec mon français et ont pris le temps de me montrer leur région. Le travail n'était pas difficile, et je pouvais toujours faire une pause si j'en avais besoin. J'ai appris beaucoup de choses sur la culture, le jardinage, la cuisine, etc. C'est une famille très sociable, donc j'ai rencontré beaucoup de monde chez eux, ce qui était toujours un plaisir. Je conseille à tout le monde de faire un Workaway chez eux, c’est une super expérience ! Merci beaucoup Marco, Béatrice et Mathilde !

I loved this workaway experience! Catherine and Liam are wonderfully inviting hosts and this spot is very close to the National Park. The animals are lovely and full of personality. Well worth a visit.

I have just spent a wonderful ten days with Isabella and manfred and perri the dog :) They are kind and caring and very knowledgeable people . The house and the area in the village is absolutely beautiful with stunning views of the sunset and the gardens . I spent my time helping Isabella with some work in the garden, some house work and some painting and sanding the gates and shutters on the house . I helped with groceries and cooking also but nothing was too hard and all very relaxed and flexible . I thankyou both for the wonderful meals we made together and for welcoming me into your home and the village . I have fond memories of walks with Isabella at the lake with perri :)

Emil volunteered for seven weeks in my small village, he was kind, calm, helpful, resourceful, and his music filled the house and the garden with melodious and beautiful sounds. The time went too fast. I am filled with gratitude for his thoughtful conversations and contributions to my life project. Wishing you the very best in your adventures, Emil.

Hazel and Raul were excellent hosts. I'll miss the fresh sourdough, sound sleeps and fantastic conversations.

Alex and Barbara , thank you so much for all your effort, hard working spirit , positivity and motivation which you brought to work everyday. We highly recommend this force of nature couple to any host. Fantastic communication, they both take instructions, use their initiative and work incredibly hard. They are both fantastic with children, using inspirational games and crafts with all the children of varied ages. Fantastic cooks, creative teachers ( karate and crochet, crafters) with lots of patience towards our chaos and the children… oooh and the animals… Task included : garden work,heavy pruning, cutting, weeding, digging, animal care , cleaning, cooking, child care, animal care, painting, teaching ,putting up a yurt..… and much more. Do not let the opportunity pass you by, they are a wonderful inspirational couple to be with. All the best to you both and we look forward to welcoming you back as friends very soon

Hanna came back this year for the second time. When she asked to come back I didn't had to think twice to say yes. Hanna is a very positive person, always happy, very good company to have around. Because of her travels she also knows a lot, we had very interesting conversations. She adapts very easy to the place and all the diferent people we always have here. She is also a hard working person and a perfectionist, everything Hanna does is done very well, to perfection. Hanna is willing to do any task you ask her, nothing is too much or too dificult. Let's say that by now she is a friend that comes to help us, rather then a volunteer. We are looking forward to have her again in our team.

Gabriele is a really kind and welcoming person, and his animals are just adorable. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t on our side during the stay, but we still had some really nice conversations. The place itself is beautiful and peaceful, definitely a special spot.
