We spent the month of July in the Ashram. During our stay here, we cleaned showers, toilets, bedrooms, made new beds for guests, vacuumed and mopped. We were free to change tasks or engage in other tasks (like cooking) if wished for, but we chose to continue the same tasks. It was very interesting to live in a community of very diverse people. We met lovely souls and learned a lot about both Australian and yogic culture. It was a hard goodbye and we will definitely come and say hi every time we are close by. Thank you for the warm stay.

Klara was a very nice girl, we had so good conversation in german, her german is perfect, she was cooking many times for us and we loved her delices food. Thank you Klara it was so good, i often think about, she helpted me with everthing i needed and did it fantastic, i realy liked the time she was staying with us thank you for everything and all the best for you, Niki Manfred and little Cindy

My stay at Birgit‘s beautiful home was my first Workaway experience and couldn't have been better! Her horses and cats grown really close to my heart during the 5 weeks I was there. I enjoyed assisting Birgit with the daily tasks around the animals and also working in the garden. I was also able to help her with the hay harvest and learned a lot of new things overall. Birgit is a very friendly, hospitable and open person with whom you can have interesting conversations while enjoying very delicious meals together. I felt very comfortable in my cozy guest room - Birgit’s danish farm is as a whole simply a lovely place. I'm looking forward to coming back!

This is a very special place, tucked in a green mango filled valley! But the people are what makes it EXTRA special! Big thanks to Dada, Didi, Sugati, Agnea, Sophie, Padmini and everyone else, and of course our best friend Dora the three legged dog. Everyone is welcoming, kind, willing to share knowledge and energy! We were invited to join group meals, group meditation and asana, and learned lots. Work hours were 5 days x 5 hours - very reasonable, they really made an effort to make the work varied too. We cleaned, prepared rooms, painted walls, weeded garden beds, woodchipped, planted pineapples, harvested bird limes, processed jackfruit and cooked - so much fun! 
We cooked many of our meals in the fully stocked volunteer kitchen with our friend Ade, and also enjoyed visiting the night market (15min bike ride to town). We really recommend volunteering here!

I was very lucky to have Anna staying with me for a week in May - just when the weeds started growing crazy;) She did a great job getting rid of that among other tasks around the house. However the most remarkable thing about having Anna as a workawayer is how easily she became part of my life thanks to her openness and initiative both when it comes to practical tasks and meaningful conversations. We talked a lot about all kinds of interesting subjects; the global situation, history, politics, psychology, recycling, the Danish and the Czech system, pets etc. Anna has an impressive knowledge and is a reflective, positive and trustful person. On top of that she has great experiences when it comes to voluntary work in different projects and countries. Anna has my strongest recommendations. Tak for dig🌸

I can really recommend Emma, she is very nice, easy to be around, very helpful, interested, dedicated, openminded, calm and a fantastic person to have in your home. From the bottom of my heart - thank you Emma!

Alicia and Dani are a very open and understanding couple. They made us feel at home, especially by listening to us and they will do everything in their power to make sure the experience is the best for everyone. They helped us in many ways and we had deep and long talks. The area is also beautiful and there's a lot to explore, if you ask they'll have a lot of suggestions on what to do. The work was mainly in the field (with the company of their cute dogs too) where we created a fence, picked up rocks from the river and other little side quests. Overall we would definetely recommend it!

First of all, thank you for everything! I'm so grateful I met Mahira and Gerold, thank you for your hospitality and your warm and welcoming manner. I felt very comfortable with them. I had my own room where I felt at home. The focus of my stay was helping with tidying up the garden shed, renovating small things (chairs) and gardening in the vegetable garden; the tasks were tailored to my needs. We cooked or baked together every day, and my needs were always taken into account. Gerold urgently needs support with the renovation; experts and craftsmen would be ideal. I thank you for the wonderful time, the pleasant conversations, and the warmth! I would love to come back again someday!

I stayed with this host for one week and had a peaceful and relaxing time surrounded by a large garden, chickens, and bees. The couple was very kind and patiently explained the tasks, making the stay very comfortable. During my stay, I had the opportunity to help with gardening. For those interested in beekeeping, I believe this place offers a great chance to learn as well. The sea is nearby, and going for walks in the area was really refreshing. I highly recommend this host to anyone who wants to experience the nature and culture of Brittany while using English to communicate. Thank you so much for the warm welcome!

I spent almost three weeks at Moussa’s camp, and it was an amazing experience. The environment is absolutely stunning, you can admire the stars and the beautiful moon every night, go for walks in the breathtaking mountains, and immerse yourself in the Bedouin culture and way of life. There’s so much to learn and to experiment here. South Sinai is a truly unique and fascinating region to discover. I stayed in a large tent that was comfortable and not too hot. Even in summer, the weather is quite pleasant thanks to the altitude—around 1,000 meters—so it stays cool and breezy. The tasks are pretty simple: helping Moussa with the camp (tidying and organizing, taking care of the plants, helping out in the kitchen, etc). The work is flexible and can be arranged depending on the needs at the time. The camp has excellent WIFI, which makes it a great place for digital nomads, you’ll have plenty of free time to work or relax. The atmosphere is really friendly and laid-back, with family, friends, and guests regularly coming and going. It creates a small, welcoming community in the middle of the mountains. The camp itself is beautiful and super pleasant, with lots of potential for new ideas and projects. Moussa knows the mountains inside out and can also organize short mountain trips for your days off, it’s a perfect way to explore the area which is sooo beautiful. I stayed with this lovely family for one week and had a truly heartwarming experience. I was warmly welcomed by a kind and humorous couple, as well as their intelligent and gentle son. I mainly helped with meal preparation during my stay. Both hosts are former actors, full of expression and passion for teaching English, and I was really inspired by their energy. The food was also delicious — I enjoyed a variety of dishes including British, Thai, and Japanese cuisine. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to practice English, improve their communication skills, or spend time in the countryside with a creative and welcoming family. Thank you so much for having me!

I stayed with this host for one week and had the opportunity to experience a peaceful countryside lifestyle surrounded by beautiful nature. The host is a kind and calm person, living a simple life in harmony with nature, even on her own. I found her way of living very inspiring. While helping with gardening and some light DIY tasks, I was able to enjoy my time and move at my own pace. The accommodation was comfortable, and the area was full of beautiful places to explore, such as riverside paths, castles, and troglodyte dwellings. I truly recommend this place to anyone who loves nature and wants to experience a simple and meaningful way of living. Thank you so much for your warm welcome!

I spent two wonderful weeks with Joep and Julia! Their place is a really peaceful site with incredible surroundings for hiking, but most of all, Joep and Julia are so friendly and have so much to share. I'm so grateful for all the interesting conversations and things I've learned by their side in so many areas. I really enjoyed participating in their sustainable development project. We had a little daily routine but after the excellent breakfast (and Julia's delicious bread!!!), we were always doing different tasks, so I never got bored and learned a lot about permaculture and bioconstruction! Thank you so much for everything, it was a pleasure and I really hope to come back and see the evolution of your beautiful project! :)

Amaris , che in italiano si pronuncia « Emris » senza far sentire molto la i, è una insegnante di inglese molto esperta : trova la maniera di parlare anche con i bambini più piccoli come Perla che ha tre anni e mezzo ripetendo spesso le parole e le frasi in modo che le memorizzino . Non parla italiano , conosce qualche parola ma non credo sia ancora pronta per costruire una frase intera . Quindi se avete bisogno di un’insegnante , per grandi o piccini , fa sicuramente al caso vostro e ve la raccomando fortemente ! Per quanto riguarda la gestione della casa , è piuttosto inesperta , non cucina affatto tranne le uova e tutto ciò che si possa mettere in friggitrice ad aria senza fare altro. Non ama pulire e rassettare la cucina . Non ha un grande spirito di iniziativa infatti se Perla dormiva fino a tardi , la aspettava sul divano quando avrebbe potuto investire il tempo facendo tante altre cose , come spazzare la corte , aspirare , scaricare la lavastoviglie .. ecc ecc .. ha iniziato giusto gli ultimi giorni prima di partire . A parte da un punto di vista prettamente di insegnamento dell’inglese , non sembra avere una grande esperienza con i bambini , intesa come la loro cura ( cose pratiche tipo lavare il culetto , cucinare per loro , cose del genere … ) Invece come compagna di giochi per i più grandi è sicuramente più adeguata , infatti con Diana , mia figlia di 10 anni , giocava a carte , e chiacchierava molto . Non l’ho mai vista uscire se non per portare il cane fuori e come ahimè la maggior parte dei giovani , passa gran parte del tempo al telefono , purtroppo anche quando era con Perla . Complessivamente è stata una esperienza piacevole . Grazie Amaris , buona fortuna 🍀

Having Moana home was for me a gift, because she is the quiet type of person that get's instantly what she could do to help. Very self sufficient and creative, we had a great time sharing meals, chatting and working with textile. She was so commited to the craft and house general maintenance that I trusted her enough to get her back and manage other workawayers, in a very gentle and respectfull way. Sometimes you meet people and the connexion is just great, that's what we had !

Thank you, Ha for the amazing experience after the arrival I felt so welcomed by everyone on the farm. You will meet a lot of great people and have fun doing the tasks. The girls Grace and Tofu were so helpful with everything. In your free time you can go together with other people to amazing waterfall or enjoy city life of Hoi an. Felt super relaxed happy after this experience.

Olivier est venu chez moi pendant une semaine. La nature équilibrée d’Olivier et ses multiples expériences étaient très agréables et enrichissantes. Grâce à son aide, j’ai pu effectuer des travaux qui avaient été retardés depuis longtemps. Nous avons souvent eu l’occasion d’échanger nos expériences de voyage et nos visions du monde. Cette semaine a été très enrichissante.

Dogâ was a nice and easy going workawayer. She has only started her journey and she will learn a lot with new experiences. She had good skills with dogs and now she is also good at making rasberry jam (after making a lot). She worked well with the other people staying in my house, and really want to improve her french.
