Artin was with us for nearly 2 months. In that time he went from never having touched a horse to confidently feeding, rugging and unrugging , leading them to the paddock, cleaning yards. He was always ready at 7am to feed.,Artin also did weeding, mowing, spreading manure and compost , looking after chickens and is a very hard worker. He was always keen and quick to learn. His knowledge of English is absolutely excellent.

Mari, I think found it difficult adjusting to rural life, physically demanding work and didn't seem at all interested in exploring the area or going anywhere. Although Mari's English comprehension is lacking, it was her lack of any attempt to clarify instructions or ask questions that let us all down.

This was my first Workaway experience, and I’m grateful that it happened here, at Yosun's place. It was also my first time working with animals, and thanks to this host I learned so much — how to behave around them, what to do, and how to understand their needs. The atmosphere was amazing, natural, peaceful, and full of life. If someone loves nature, horses, donkeys, or livestock in general, I’m sure they will enjoy this place as much as I did. I’m very thankful for this experience — it gave me new skills, new confidence, and memories I will keep with me for a long time.

Özlem is a truly wonderful person. It was a pleasure to spend time with her and talk about many things — I learned a lot during my stay. She is an excellent cook, and every meal she prepared felt warm and full of care. The place itself is peaceful and beautiful: the sea is close, the mountains are nearby, and the whole atmosphere is calm and inspiring. I’m very grateful that on my journey I met such an amazing host. Staying with Özlem was a special experience, and I’m happy that life brought me to her home.

I only stayed for a week, but I had a great time here ! It was the end of the olive harvest, the work was interesting and not to hard The atmosphere was very cheerful, i really enjoyed cooking together and discovering different culinary specialities, the movie nights and the walks in the countryside. Thank you Soykan for everything, I felt at home !

It was a joy to stay with Michael and Maja. The communication about responsibilities was excellent and they made me feel welcome in their beautiful home. The cats and dogs are a huge part of life, this is a great stay for animal lovers. The work was varied and almost entirely outdoors. Some tasks are re-occurring, but work is mostly dependent on weather and need. I stayed for the olive harvest which was 3 days work with other helpers joining as well. I was really interested in the olive harvest and learned about the entire process (even visiting the olive mill). Thank you, Micheal and Maja for your hospitality and conversations. I will treasure this experience!

I spent six weeks here in Hungary and was immediately welcomed into the family on the very first day. I had a lot of fun taking care of the horses and other animals, and enjoyed heartfelt conversations with Simone :) Apart from the usual day to day tasks I was invited to come on little excursions with the family during the weekend which was always a lot of fun! My work done on the farm was valued, never brushed to the side and I definitely learned a lot in the process of it all! I got to bake often and was part of movie and game nights with the family. I really miss the cats, dogs and horses a lot already :,) I hope that our paths cross again in the future and can't wait to be back!

I was allowed to be part of this warm-hearted and loving family for eight days. Silke included me in family activities right from the day I arrived, which made it easy to fit in. It was simply a wonderful time. I particularly enjoyed the shared dinners, the many funny and profound conversations with all the family members, and the freedom to decide how to organise my working hours during the day. It was a very trusting, pleasant and totally relaxed atmosphere. I mainly planted plants and helped in the garden, played football with the two boys and fooled around a bit, kept Bodie busy and helped with the housework. I thought it was just GREAT!! On Wednesday, I also helped Silke in her little bakery. She even gave me a whole loaf when I was leaving. It was a great experience to be part of your family; thank you Silke, Grahaem, Lukas and Jacob! I will keep this awesome memory. 🙌🏼 Take good care of yourselves 🤙🏼 Best wishes, Melvin

Tabea is a very positive, energetic and friendly person. She cleaned the garden, took care of our animals and helped in the kitchen among other things. She is very easy to work with and talk to, and we had quite some laughs together. She is very easy going and she is a great workawayer to host. :)

If you like peace and quiet Nils is not for you. He is very energetic, very talkative with great many stories of his adventures! We often sat for hours, just sharing our experiences. He does whatever task you put him to, if only you show him how. If you are thinking about taking him in you will not regret it. Althrough he was with us for a pretty short stay we had a great time and we wish he would be with us longer.

Alina was a short stay guest, but made a dynamic and enthusiastic contribution in the few days she was with me. She is a great, diligent, and physically strong worker, who tackled the big job of clearing metres high weeds, trees, and general vegetation with energy and focus. She is persistent, determined, and never gives up. A team player, she is focussed on the tasks at hand, sharp at problem solving, with a good appreciation of the fun and humorous situation to go with her strong work ethic and warm personality. If you seek strength and passion in a Workawayer, and a lively presence, Alina comes most recommended!

My stay with Lyn was awesome. She was my first workaway experience and set the bar really high. She didn't care about if I had any previous experience and just explained everything to me. I gained so much knowledge during the time I stayed with her. Not only about gardening, but also about the kiwi slang, geographics, dairy farms, other countries and most importantly about life in general. Other than that she was also my tour guide and showed me all of the villages nearby. I enjoyed the long drives with Dottie on my lap while having long talks with her and every now and then an ice-cream break. She also didn't bother helping me find a car, a job and would have let me stayed with her for such a long time. I appreciate that a lot! Not to forget the Rugby game, the sheering competition, the barking competition, babysitting a lamb and many more unforgettable experiences. Leaving your house always felt a little bit like leaving home and I hope that there will be a chance for me to come back! Thank you so much Lyn for everything! I will never forget the time I spent with you and Dottie.

Ieva stayed at my place from October 21st to November 7th. She left earlier than planned due to an issue with her computer, instead of staying until November 12th as initially agreed. We spent a pleasant day together with my daughter: she is friendly and respectful, and I appreciate that she took care of the animals while I was away. When I returned, I found the house in a generally good condition. However, I received very little information about the tasks completed during my absence. I would have appreciated clearer communication, especially regarding the garden work I had requested (such as removing brambles) or the solar system alarm, which I was eventually informed about by a friend instead of by her. Overall, I thank Ieva for her stay and for looking after the house and the animals, although a bit more communication would have helped ensure better mutual understanding. I wish her all the best for the future.

We spent two weeks with this lovely family when we first arrived in NZ. Mark and Sally introduced us to the country very well, and especially helped Jose improve his English. We shared many moments by the fireplace, talking and having a great time. We enjoyed the work and it was not too hard, and we had some very delicious meals. We also don’t want to forget Kate and Benoit, who were also very kind and gave us good advice in many things. My experience with Tim and Sofie was great! Both of them were really nice people to be around with. They had a lot of great travel stories to tell, shared a lot of knowledge about healthy nutrition and gave a lot of useful tips for our travels through new zealand. In addition they also made sure that we are comfortable and that the work is not too hard. It was also really good that they communicated the rules and what they expect of us, so we knew what we could do and what not. Especially that they expect 21 hours of work per week (instead of 3 hrs a day) is really nice so we could decide when the work would fit into our schedule and plan things in the afternoons. Furthermore it felt like they were really thankful for the work we did and that it was really important to them that we also have a great experience! All in all I can definitely recommend to stay here and I wish I could have stayed here for a longer time. Thank you so much for this experience, Tim and Sofie!! I had a wonderful two weeks with Danica and Ken. It was exactly what I look for in a Workaway experience: discovering the culture, learning new things, and having a unique experience. Every day was different, the work wasn't hard, and what I really enjoyed was doing it all together. I also had a great time with Isobel and Bernie... It was very enriching. A big thank you to Pantangle V Ranch for their warm welcome and kindness.
