Maja is a really great workaway! She is helpful, reliable and versatile. I was particularly impressed by how careful and prudent she is and how she takes responsibility, she has an eye for the big picture above and beyond her tasks. Her observations and ideas were often a good source of inspiration for me. Maja was good with my children and spent
… read more time with them, she independently fed the horses, dogs and cats, cleaned and moved the horses, potted young plants and helped me with the cooking. She left her room tipp tipp :-) Dear Maja, you are always welcome at our place!
I am more than greatful for the two weeks that I could spend at Simone's little paradise, located in the middle of a tiny village in Hungary.
And - what shall I say. It was the most wonderful place for me to regenerate and fullfill my longings for animal-cuddling :-).
I truly enjoyed every single task I was given: Feeding and caring for all the
… read more animals in the morning and evening (including the joyful greetings when you come out of your room), cuddling and brushing them as often as I want, going out for a walk with a horse and/or the dogs, repotting the seedlings for the summer, and accompanying Simone in running errands. (One day Simone could even give me a ride to Györ so that I could spend a day there and explore the city.) However, the most incredible opportunity for me was that I could train or ride one of the horses every day, and on Simone's days off, even join her on horse rides across the fields around and the beautiful meadows of the national park.
Also, I enjoyed helping with cooking - and Simone showed me great new recipes, with which we could cover all the needs (glutenfree and vegan for me, "normal" for the kids, and Keto for herself). That was amazing - thanks, Simone, for all the effort, and for treating me with yummy snacks :-).
This being said, Simone made sure that I had all I needed, and gave me so many opportunities to learn about horsemanship and horse care, Hungarian culture, landuse changes in the area, sustainable gardening, and so much more. Simone met me with a lot of trust from day one and very much appreciated my opinion, which allowed me to take responsibility and learn a lot.
So, thank you so much for this wonderful time - I would love to come back soon!

Zora is a very pleasant person, very grounded, communicative, but can also be good alone, 100% reliable and careful. She was really good with all our animals (cats, dogs, quails, free-range pigs), but especially with the horses. What I found particularly great was that Zora had the courage to take on new tasks - and then mastered them with flying

I had the most wonderful two Christmas holidayweeks with Simone, her kids and all the cuddles loving animals. Simone is a very inspiring, kind and considerate person and it was a pleasure for me to help and spend time with her. I also liked very much the delicious food she cooked.
The kids did mostly their own stuff but we had lunch/dinner and
… read more some energetic funny table game evenings together.
I spent my days mostly outside with the animals (feeding, grooming, training, riding) and together we discovered the fields and nationalparcs around. It's a really wide beautiful area with a lot of grassland, some trees and no mountains.
By the way, if you like training cats, then I'm sure that Oreo (cat) is ready for it. :)
Simone gave me interesting information about Hungary and she helped me with the public transport.

Sam and I stayed with Simone for 9 days and it was wonderful! Simone is so kind and generous, and in turn her animals are happy and sweet. It was really cool to learn about how she keeps and cares for her horses and the techniques she uses to ensure they live a happy and natural life. And of course it was great fun to cuddle with all the cats and
… read more dogs. The whole experience exceeded our expectations in the best possible way and we would love to come back!
