I am very passionate about being in the outdoors and enjoying nature - I am at my happiest when hiking in the mountains or watching the sunset. I love meeting new people, learning languages, teaching and working with children.

I have experience in teaching, carpentry, gardening, DIY, childcare, cooking and cleaning. I am always open to developing these skills or learning new things. :)

I can do basic carpentry and DIY. On previous Workaway placements I have built a fence, a gapahuk (wooden shelter for sleeping), a flower bed, a fire wood shelter and a hand rail for stairs. I am open to trying new projects and learning new DIY and carpentry skills.

I have gardening and vegetable harvesting experience. I can do weeding, maintaining a vegetable garden, harvesting fruits and vegetables and making products with them.

I have 4 years professional experience working in a school - 1 year teaching English as a foreign language in a French primary school, 2 years as a PE teacher in a secondary school and 1 year as a Special Educational Needs Assistant in a secondary school in the UK.

I have lots of experience of working with children - I have been a regular babysitter for 10 years as well as being an au pair in France for 6 months and 2 months of being a professional nanny.

I have experience in languages and translation - I achieved a degree in French and Italian at university and have experience tutoring in both languages. I have translated a children's book from French into English. I am also a self-taught learner of Norwegian.

I love outdoor adventures - I organised and went on a bikepacking trip around the Scottish highlands last summer and I spent a year living in the French Alps where I went on many long mountain hikes and cycle trips.

I enjoy cooking and am happy to cook lots of healthy, tasty meals (I love cooking with lots of vegetables!).

I am very creative and enjoy sewing, knitting, writing poetry and painting.

I love music of lots of different genres and I am a self-taught beginner guitarist.
