This account is shared by two friends from Sydney, Australia - traveling solo.

Thomas (29) - I've got a passion for the creative arts — I was a painter in my early twenties. Previously, I was living in NYC and working in fashion before Covid19. In 2022, I started a company that built software to help people find local art shows. This year I've been travelling the world - motorbiking SE Asia, teaching English in Istanbul, farming in Greece, hitchhiking the Balkans and finding family in Croatia. I did a Master's in Secondary Teaching and have classroom experience teaching kids. I enjoy collaborating, leading, and connecting with people—of all ages and backgrounds.

Hamish (25) - I have construction experience after running an electrical company for years and handy man repairs for disadvantaged people. I love learning new skills, meeting new people, and helping out wherever I’m needed. Whether it’s working in the garden, doing repairs, looking after animals, helping with kids, or lending a hand around the house—I’m happy to get stuck in and do what’s needed with care and attention.

We're both I’m a reliable, easygoing, and hands-on traveler with a big heart and a strong work ethic. Naturally curious and open-minded people, who really enjoy being part of a team or family environment where we can share stories, skills, and experiences. We value clear communication and empathy, and I always try to understand and support the needs of the people around me.

Respecting your home, time, and way of life is very important to us. We're someone you can count on to show up with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a genuine desire to help.

I’m currently traveling after wrapping up a creative arts start-up I founded in 2020. We built technology and produced media that connected local galleries, exhibitions and artists across Australia. Starting a company taught me the lessons of leadership, communication, humility, empathy and work ethic.

Before that, I was a painter and curator who graduated from the National Art School, Sydney. I've held exhibitions locally and internationally, and hold a deep passion for visual culture, ideas , architecture, and beautiful everyday moments.

I worked in the fashion industry during my early 20's - where I lived NYC, Mexico, and other parts of Europe. Fashion taught me a lot about image making - and put me in contact with people from all over the world.

I partially studied a Masters in Secondary teaching - and hold a deep love for teaching, inspiration and education.

I'm easy to get along with, enjoy conversation over coffee, I'm respectful of others space and their daily routine.

I enjoy listening to community radio nerd. Love classics like Bladerunner, Dog Day Afternoon, The Godfather. Usually reading some modern fiction—Murakami’s a favorite, Ishiguro, Zadie Smith. Might finally tackle Proust on this trip (or at least give it a shot).

Love football and support Liverpool.

Love coffee and roundtables, golden hour, local food, cheap beers and wide pavements.

Love learning about where people are from and how you live. Mostly just enjoy good chats, meals, and the little everyday stuff.

I'm good company, with a few laughs, a calm presence—and always up for sharing stories or helping out where I can.
