Our family has a beautiful plantation guesthouse, farm and heritage site surrounded by gardens, trails, an old sugar mill, fruit orchards and secluded beaches. The 80 acre property 180 year old plantation house and 5 guest cottages require a lot of maintenance and care, under often challenging conditions. At this time, we are looking mainly for experienced helpers with a background in property maintenance, construction, carpentry, plumbing and electrical. We will also consider workawayers skilled in webdesign and online marketing, or teaching at the elementary school level (we are considering starting a home school group for our 5 year old). Serious applicants may be asked to provide a CV and references, as spaces are limited and we accept skilled helpers only.
We are looking for responsible, professional individuals who are able to work independently. Positions are a minimum of 6 weeks and a maximum of 6 months, typically in the off season between May and November. Please do not contact us if you do not meet the above criteria. Thank you!

Our helpers generally work for 25 hours a week (flexible times) in exchange for room and board. Help is needed primarily in construction and carpentry (any kind of woodwork), handyman jobs, heavy cleaning, and farming. We are an environmentally conscious business and are also seeking to further implement sustainable practices. Some of the work might also involve cooking, household chores, child care, marketing and helping with tourists. For professionals willing to take on more responsibility or extra hours, we can offer a small stipend or performance bonus.

helpers generally stay one of our private guest cottages (which rent for US$ 110 - 140 per day during the tourist season).
St. Lucia is a popular holiday destination and is well serviced by international airlines. There is lots to do and see on the island including hiking, snorkeling, kite surfing, hot springs, waterfalls etc. Our property is very beautiful and there are two beaches just a 5 minute walk away. As a visitor, you are allowed to stay in the country for 6 weeks, after that you have to request an extension every 4 weeks, which costs US$ 80. We will pay this fee if you helpers with us, but you are not allowed to work on the island. Some nationals also require a visa before traveling to St. Lucia.
