English: In November 2025 I spent 10 days with Agustín, Sylvie and Aymeric. It was the perfect time of the year to work in their greenhouse and their arboretum. It is a piece of land with newly planted maple trees, a fish pond and more, still to be developed and to be completed within the next years. I really enjoyed driving the small tractor (cutting the grass of the entire plot of land and transporting mulch). Agustín gave clear and details instructions what and how to do everything. He made sure I was comfortable and safe with everything and every aspect concerning the tasks and the work in general. In the evening we had very nice conversations around the table, so it was a perfect opportunity to improve my French. This notably with Sylvie, who spoke clearly and precise with me, which made it a perfect language course. Thank you Sylvie! Aymeric knows a lot about movies, so we had an interesting talk about film music one evening. Thank you for lending me your collection of modern comic strips as well as the classic Asterix volumes which I could finally read in French. Talking about delights... we had delicious dinners every time. I savored the guinea fowl and other dishes which I never tastes before. Since there are forest trails near Pibrac I took the time to explore the surroundings and made a train trip to Toulouse as well. All in all it was a very positive experience and I really recommend to stay with Agustín and his family. Français: En novembre 2025, j'ai passé 10 jours avec Agustín, Sylvie et Aymeric. C'était la période idéale de l'année pour travailler dans leur serre et leur arboretum. Il s'agit d'un terrain avec des érables nouvellement plantés, un étang à poissons et bien d'autres choses encore, qui doit être aménagé et achevé dans les prochaines années. J'ai vraiment apprécié de conduire le petit tracteur (pour couper la prairie et transporter le paillis). Agustín m'a donné des instructions claires et détaillées sur ce qu'il fallait faire et comment le faire. Il s'est assuré que je me sentais à l'aise et en sécurité avec tout ce qui concernait les tâches et le travail en général. Le soir, nous avons eu de très agréables conversations autour de la table, ce qui m'a permis d'améliorer mon français. Notamment avec Sylvie, qui s'exprimait clairement et précisément avec moi, ce qui m'a offert un cours de langue parfait. Merci Sylvie ! Aymeric s'y connaît très bien en cinéma, nous avons donc eu une conversation très intéressante sur la musique de film un soir. Merci de m'avoir prêté la collection de bandes dessinées modernes ainsi que les albums classiques d'Astérix que j'ai enfin pu lire en français. En parlant de gourmandises nous avons dégusté de délicieux dîners à chaque fois. J'ai savouré la pintade et d'autres plats que je n'avais jamais goûtés auparavant. Comme il y a des sentiers forestiers près de Pibrac, j'ai pris le temps d'explorer les environs et j'ai également fait un voyage en train jusqu'à Toulouse. Dans l'ensemble, ce fut une expérience très positive et je recommande vivement de séjourner chez Agustín et sa famille.

Jodi and Kevin were so warm and welcoming to me. I immediately felt safe and at home when Jodi picked me up from the bus station. She went out of her way to bring me to the library and the bakehouse to get a book I wanted along with a pie :) the work varried from day to day and was very flexible. I got to feed the lambs and cows and walk the dogs a lot which I loved! they have 10 dogs all of which are very sweet and well trained. I did a bit of weeding in the field and stacking wood as well. Jodi and Kevin are both so easy to talk to we spent hours chatting and sharing time and stories. Jodi was so lovely to spend time with and she always went out of her way to help me have more opportunities! she took me caroling at lake Tekapo and let me go up to Lake Tekapo again with some of her church friends for a day because she knew how much I loved it there! She also let me go on bike rides and wander town if there wasn't any work to do! Kevin also was a gem and let me accompany him to see how fly fishing works! I had a most incredible time here and I look forward to visiting them again!

Julie and Harry are a great couple and fantastic Workawayers. They were here for 2 weeks and really put their heart into a long list of tasks – working independently, with great enthusiasm and doing a first class job. While they were here they did a lot of fetching and carrying, meticulously painting inside and outside, organising the home and many miscellaneous tasks from hanging pictures to changing door handles and garden work. They were also excellent company which always makes a Workaway experience really great and if you have the opportunity to host them don’t hesitate – you won’t be disappointed. We were all sorry to part ways and I hope they will return in the future :-)

Mi experiencia con Stefano fue en general positiva. Me quedé durante dos semanas en la casa del bosque, que es un lugar muy especial, rodeado de naturaleza y completamente inmerso en el bosque. Fue realmente hermoso y tranquilo. Las tareas eran simples y claras. Para mí, la parte más desafiante fue adaptarme a estar sola la mayor parte del tiempo, ya que el lugar es bastante aislado. Stefano fue siempre amable y respetuoso, aunque no tuvimos mucho tiempo para compartir juntos porque él trabajaba todo el día. Tuve la oportunidad de probar la comida que él cocinaba, la cual fue muy buena. Vive con dos perros, tres gatos y cuatro cabras adorables, lo que hizo que la experiencia fuera aún más especial. Decidí irme antes de lo previsto porque necesitaba continuar mi viaje y seguir el propósito que me trajo a Italia. En general, valoro la experiencia y el tiempo que pasé allí.

Thank you to Claire and Alex for their warm welcome. We had a fantastic time together. We were a group of five, and we got along really well over those three weeks. Claire and Alex were also very approachable, eager to share their knowledge and show us around the region. It was our first Workaway experience, and it has motivated us to do it again as soon as possible. Thanks again for everything!

Paola, Rai and Emma stayed with us for two weeks. It was the best experience! They came in the exact right time, when we were planning and preparing new beds for our community garden. It turned out they had a lot experience in that field! Paola draw some plans on auto cad, we measured and marked the beds and started with a prototype "no dig" vegetable bed. They where super enthusiastic and sturdy working, when they needed flexibility to take care of Emma, they would always make up the time when they could. They were very easy to communicate with, very concious about the house and the people in it, and in general a joy to have around. Especially Emma, who is an amazing character! 😃 We can recommend this brave, adventurous and well organised family to anyone. We wish you a good start in Tirol, I hope we can meet again in spring or so! Best regards, Emmanuel

Dear Eva,you are a wonderful person it was a pleasure to meet you and have you around us,we really enjoyed Asian kitchen for a week and nice talks about your culture. Eva was really nice with my kids,clean,respectful,kind and nice 😊

Hayley was one of the most hardworking and versatile individuals we have ever had the pleasure of hosting. Her primary responsibility was cleaning the lodge, which she carried out with exceptional care and attention to detail. Beyond that, she was always eager to learn and help with a wide range of tasks. During her time with us, she assisted with sanding and resurfacing furniture, digging footings for a structure, chopping and stacking wood, carving a path through dense forest, and completely reorganizing the storeroom, among many other projects. What truly set Hayley apart was not only her strong work ethic, but also her attitude. She remained positive even when working in difficult weather, and after long days of physical labor she often still had the energy and enthusiasm to play with the kids. Hayley played an important role in both our home and our business, and we feel very fortunate to have hosted her.

Sebastian and Connie have a beautiful remote place in the forest. They are nice welcoming people who are trying their best to préserve and replant the forest following permaculture principles. Thanks !

this is a very late review as I've been in Kuraburi last month for only one week. I wish I could have stayed longer, the bungalow surrounded by the nature was stunning and incredibly beautiful. I fell in love with the three brothers dogs, watching them at the door in the early morning giving me cuddles and barking a good morning gave me always such a peace of mind. it will always be one of the most remarkable experience of my life, and I will surely look after to repeat it if I ever come to be roaming Thailand another time in the future. thanks Karen, bye bye my lovely furry friends :)

I spent two weeks in the hostel in Da Lat. Ha and Nhat, the two owners, are such nice people, very welcoming and always friendly and communicative. I felt like being in another home, far from mine, into an amazing city full of attractions and a lovely night life vibe. I've met so many other volunteers and hostel guests who now I consider my travel buddies, such a great opportunity to be in a such socialising environment. I promise them I will come back next year to stay maybe a little longer, and I can't wait for it :) thanks to all the guys I've spent my time with, thanks to Ha and Nhat for their support and kindness.

Valeska is an incredibly amazing guest. she is self-organised, intelligent, curious, yet totally fine doing her own thing. she has blended into our busy family instantly and we are reluctant to ever let her go again. You always have a home here!!! thank you so mich for all your care.

Our stay was incredible ! It was our first volunteer experience and we couldn't make a better choice ! We spent three weeks there and we didn't want to leave. Nadine ans Andrea are the definition of the kindness, patient, generous and always there to know if you enjoy your stay. We are not going to talk again about the meals which are averywhere in the other feedbacks but according to us she is ready to open a restaurant ;) We know each day what we have to do and it is never the same things so not boring ! The biew in front of the tent is incredible with the sea ans the nature all around. The bus stop is really near the house and the village of Icod allows many connections by bus to many villages around and beautiful hikes. We will never forget our experience and we will come back sure !

Anna and her lovely boy stayed for a week.....sadly little S was quite unwell and had to rest up for most of the stay, but they managed to enjoy the peaceful surrounds. The weather was kind, and Anna worked calmly and around her son, making a very nice impact on our home, and luckily there was lots of fun at the end of the stay with Xmas in Cooroy parade! Anna and S were lovely guests and we could recommend them to anyone.

Mathilde & David are just excellent staff members, people and friends, always fun and professional, we will miss them and we was so lucky to have had them with us for so long! These two people are an addition to any team. As sad as we were to see them leave we know that they will be looking at another adventure and we cant wait to hear about it! All the best guys!

We enjoyed having Dita with us this winter. Respectful and professional in everything she does. We highly recommend.

Calder stayed with me for a week . In that time I was able to complete 3 projects. He worked really well with me and had some building skills which helped alot with the projects. Calder was easy to be with . He is a very good musician and so fitted in well with my place. I enjoyed having his company, surfing with him and spending time with him. I highly recommend him for future Workaway hosts.

We hosted Zoe for a month and enjoyed her presence very much! She was very helpful around the house, created a strong nurturing bond with the children and made friends in the area, adapting quickly and well to her new home. We hope to keep our friendship in the coming years and welcome her back again!

It was a really lovely experience to stay with Zelda. She welcomed me and my friends from the first moment. Zelda is a lovely person with a beautiful house and very cute dog. The working hours were always fair and she always watched out for us not to work too much. We also were always able to arrange the work hours around our personal plans. We painted the deck and helped with various tasks such as sanding, water blasting and organizing the pottery studio. It was always nice to go for short walks with Merlow and Zelda even helped us to make our own pottery cups, which is a really nice memory of my lovely stay in Christchurch :) Thank you for everything Zelda

It was so fun to live with Inne, Jack and their adorable girls, Lou and Millie. 2 weeks fly by when in good company! I enjoyed weeding the garden and helping with the everyday household tasks. Inne and Jack invited me to join community events, encourage me to go out to live music and to spend sunny days in Sumner and Diamond Harbour. I highly recommend this family as hosts!
