Volunteering at Ninia's place was such a great experience! Ninia is a lovely, friendly and very chill host. She told us a lot of interesting things about Georgia and was with us in the house in the beginning so that we can do some harder tasks together. Then she had to go back to Tbilisi but we kept great communication. The house has a lot of work that needs to be done and Ninia gave us freedom to choose what to do based on what we're good at. She's also very open to suggestions about the house. In general, had a great workaway experience, had a lot of freedom and the work was just as described in Ninia's post. Absolutely recommend!

I only just took the time to leave a feedback on my stay with Anna, in March, at her beautiful place. I spent an incredible week in Lund, Anna is a very kind and attentive host, always ready to offer advice and chat about all sorts of topics (if you want plenty of ideas about vegetarian recipes, you are at the right place !), in addition to her many recommendations about life in Lund and the surrounding area. The work is more than fair—I didn’t even feel like I was working because Anna’s requests are so pleasant. I helped with housekeeping and a bit of work in the outdoor garden (a beautiful spot, by the way). Moreover, I can’t leave feedback without mentioning the two adorable cats who will be part of your stay, always looking for cuddles and companionship! Finally, life in Lund is more than pleasant; the city is very cute, with plenty of activities to choose from, whether cultural (the public library is incredible!) or sports-related, and I highly recommend visiting during the school year to enjoy the student atmosphere. Anna is someone you’ll want to meet; I highly recommend staying with her, and I hope to return someday! Thank you again, Anna, for this wonderful stay !

Skye and Ciara were an absolute joy to host. They both approached each day and each and every task with such enthusiasm. Both had considerable skills and saw that along with learning from us, that they could also pass on some of their knowledge. During their time here, they helped put walls onto a new potting shed, weeded, potted up seedlings, watered, helped with clearing up areas that had been used for storage. Before they left this morning Skye and Ciara even stripped their bed and washed all the sheets and towels, hanging them out to dry before heading off to continue their travels. We would be happy to have both of these young ladies come and stay with us at any time in the future. We wish them all the best with their continuing adventures and travels.

I cannot recommend this Workaway highly enough. Caroline, Olivia, and Brownie were incredibly welcoming, kind, and hospitable hosts, and my three months in Verbier were truly unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely at home. Caroline is an inspirational, strong, and generous person, Olivia is a wonderful young lady, and Brownie is a friendly, energetic, and highly athletic dog who quickly became a favourite companion. During my stay, I had an amazing winter experience filled with skiing, yoga, great conversations, and the freedom to cook and enjoy the local lifestyle. The balance of work, independence, and family life was excellent, and I always felt appreciated and included. This was genuinely one of the best Workaway experiences I could have hoped for, and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone considering a stay in Verbier. I am incredibly grateful for the experience and hope to visit again in the future.

I stayed for one week with Antje and her family, and it was my very first Workaway experience. I honestly could not have wished for a better start — it was truly wonderful and unforgettable. Their house is located in a small and peaceful village, which made the whole experience feel calm and relaxing. From the very first day, I felt welcomed and accepted as part of the family. Everyone was incredibly kind, open, and made me feel comfortable and at home 😊 My main job was gardening and helping with outdoor tasks around the house . The work was manageable, well organized, and I liked spending time outside and contributing to daily life. Rules. One important rule was to be careful not to step on any snails — otherwise they would end up in the “snail hospital”🐌🐌organized by one of the girls, which I found both adorable and funny 🙂 During my free time, I got to use a bicycle 🚲 and enjoyed cycling to the nearby beach, which was beautiful. My room was very comfortable and had a big cozy bed, so I always felt relaxed after work 😊 The atmosphere in the house was warm, calm, and full of positive energy. Antje is such a cheerful, caring, and thoughtful person. We had many nice conversations, laughed together, had fun, and played card games 🤩 The food was absolutely delicious. On my first day, they prepared Pelmeni for me — a dish that you normally cannot find in Denmark, but one that has always been among my favorites. It was such a thoughtful surprise. Thank you, Antje and your family, for your kindness, hospitality, and for making my first Workaway experience so special. I am leaving with beautiful memories. I would absolutely recommend staying with this family 😊

Staying with David and Sarah (and sweet Louis) was an absolute treat. They are kind, patient, caring and fun people. I learnt tons about biological gardening and farming, the cheese making process (although due to circumstances there was less cheese making and more cheese eating) and the history of Australia. I felt welcome and cared for, being part of their family while also having my own space and time. I can't express my gratitude enough for having stayed in Lyonville with them. It's a life long memory and bond. They are the exemplary reason why anyone should do a workaway.

I had a great experience with this family. They are kind, welcoming, and excellent people. I really enjoyed helping them in the garden and around the property, and I always felt comfortable and appreciated. The work was fair, communication was excellent, and I would happily recommend them to other Workawayers. Thank you for everything!

It was a pleasure to host Elsien at our farm. She was very helpful, enthusiatic, respectful and a fast learner, picking up new tasks with ease. She willingly shared her knoweledge of culture and language with us which we very much enjoyed. And cooked for us on numerous occasions which we loved. We would highly recommend Elsien to other hosts. We have certainly made a new friend and plan to keep in touch.

Volunteering at the dog shelter was a pleasure. The members here always made sure I had everyting I need, and the dogs were always very happy to see me. The shelter is in the center of the town, 2 minutes from cafes and bakeries, with view on the beach. The daily tasks are feeding the dogs, walking the dogs, playing and socialising the dogs. And on some occasions, taking dogs to the veterinarian or geting dog food from the shop. The longer you meet the dogs, the better relation you have with them and they become your close friends. Hora is a typical coastal greek town you see on postcards, white houses, churches and sea. If you like running with dogs on the beach, eating spanakopita and drinking freddo espresso, you will love this place !

Lorraine and Arnie were our first Workaway hosts and we spent two wonderful weeks with them! We did a variety of different tasks around the house and always felt truly appreciated, even for the smallest things. They were very considerate of our vegetarian diet and made sure we had plenty of options. Ben, their son taught us a lot about golf and we loved playing Skip-Bo together almost every evening! Overall we would always recommend Lorraine and Arnie! They made us feel welcome from day one and were truly inspiring people and we couldn‘t have imagined better hosts for our first Workaway experience!

Dori and Laura were the best Workawayers you could ask for. From day one, they were hardworking, reliable, and able to work completely independently. Whatever task was given to them, they took ownership of it and got it done without needing supervision. They helped with gardening, woodwork, general maintenance, and even looked after our 5-month-old baby with great care and responsibility. It was a huge help and gave us complete peace of mind. Beyond their work ethic, they were simply great people to have around: friendly, positive, easy-going, and a lot of fun to spend time with. They brought great energy to our home and quickly felt like part of the family. I would welcome them back anytime and can recommend them without hesitation to any host. If you have the chance to host Dori and Laura, take it, you won't be disappointed.

Aleeeeee ! Alejandro is an amazing volunteer ! If you're looking for social persons that can gathered people together, organise games and lead the way for some activities and days trips, he's the one ! We're so glad to had him in our team for months ! He's a nice and kind guy, funny and really skilly and interesting ! Hope to see you again my friend, always welcome home ! Fenomenal, desde el inicio me inspiraron confianza, son una pareja con mucha alegría que transmiten a cada segundo, ayudaron demaciado cortando verduras, ordenar, sembrar algunas plantas, cercar con cañas y muchas tareas mas, siempre muy atentos, Belinda hace unas deliciosas tostadas y chocolate y Stephen hace una deliciosa pasta. My time here was nothing short of amazing. Jacqueline is a very special woman who will make you feel very at home from minute one with her warm and grounded presence. I spent 4 weeks in this little bubble of peace and quiet, taking care of the sweetest animals Keyloa, Venus and cuddling Ciel, the cat, while also tending to the garden and big outdoor space. The work mainly consisted in weeding, trimming, removing brambles, moving logs and cleaning up already cut grass, and also helping with getting the gîte ready when guests were about to check in for a few days. You will not need to use any heavy machinerie (unless you want to) as there is already someone coming to help with the bigger jobs. Working outside in this beautiful property was such a gift, I can only recommend spending some time there and soaking it all in! I came for a Workaway and left with so much more. Thank you Jacqueline for such a special time spent together, I already miss you all 🤍

I visited the hostel for a week, and it was a very enriching experience. Emerson and his family are incredibly kind and sweet people; they treated me wonderfully. I not only helped out at the hostel but also in a small leathercraft workshop, where he told me five generations have been working with leather. I assisted him at the hostel and with creating content for social media related to leatherwork. I learned a lot about Emerson's trips and excursions to Imbabura and other places in Ecuador, as well as about leather. I would love to return.

I had the pleasure of having Danii at my house for 15 days. She is a very intelligent, independent, working and respectful girl. She has various knowledge in the field of botany, he has arranged all my lavender plants and other work in the field. She speaks several languages, so he helped me produce documents in English and I couldn't have done it alone. Cook well and in an original way. She loves animals, especially horses. She's awake! Today is not so normal... I wish you all the fortunes in the world and I hope I can see you again one day, here you will always be well accepted, not as a workaway but as a friend

Max and Ella were a fantastic help to our team. With a positive and friendly vibe every morning, they would both diligently help with their breakfast shift tasks. With a great sense of humour they would always be lifting spirits in the hostel by making guests and colleagues laugh and have fun. I would most definitely recommend Max and Ella as they are very professional and have a very solid knowledge of professionalism in the workplace. They quickly picked up local knowledge as well as hostel information to be able to help guests. Thanks so much for all the help and the good times guys! Safe travels :)
