  We are looking for workawayers for two weeks to one month. If you can only stay briefly, don't apply.
  
  We are a family of six with children between the ages of 13 and 5 and live on an extensively managed farm in Toggenburg. Our farm has between 5-10 horncows, most of them retired, a cow with its mother cow, and a cat. We do not produce food products such as dairy products. The cows spend most of their lives outdoors on pasture. The farm is located in a secluded hilly plateau with panoramic views. We also run a small nature campsite with 5 day-stays. Roland is self-employed. He runs the farm, rents out our second home, and oversees various projects with us. Sara works as a class teacher at a special needs school two days a week.
  
  There's always plenty to do on the farm, in nature, or in and around our house.
  
  We once traveled around the world as a couple. We experienced genuine hospitality and want to share this.
  
  Even today, whenever possible, we travel as a family – preferably by car and rooftop tent, both in Switzerland and abroad. We share our passion for travel and being on the move with our workawayers.
  
  We are interested in languages ​​and cultures, and in community.

  Wir sind eine sechsköpfige Familie mit Kindern im Alter zwischen 13 und 5 Jahren und leben auf einem extensiv bewirtschafteten, Bauernhof im Toggenburg. Auf unserem Hof leben zwischen 5-10 Hornkühe, die meisten in Pension, ein Rind mit seiner Mutterkuh und eine Katze. Wir stellen keine Lebensmittel, wie z.B Milchprodukte her. Die Kühe verbringen ihr Leben mehrheitlich draussen auf der Weide. Der Hof liegt abgelegen auf einem Hügelplateau mit Weitsicht. Wie betreiben daneben einen kleinen Naturcamping mit 5 Tagesplätzen. Roland ist selbständig erwerbend. Er betreibt den Bauernhof, vermietet unser Zweithaus und betreut div. Projekte bei uns. Sara arbeitet als Klassenlehrerin an einer Sonderschule an zwei Tagen in der Woche.
  
  Bei uns gibt es auf dem Bauernhof in der Natur oder im und um unserer Haus immer viel zu tun.
  
  Früher reisten wir als Paar einmal um die Welt. Wir haben echte Gastfreundschaft erfahren und möchten dies teilen.
  Auch heute noch sind wir, wann immer es möglich ist, als Familie unterwegs – bevorzugt mit Auto und Dachzelt, sowohl in der Schweiz als auch im Ausland. Unsere Leidenschaft fürs Reisen und Unterwegssein teilen wir mit unseren Workawayern.
  
  Wir sind interessiert an Sprachen und Kulturen und einem Miteinander.
  
  Wir bieten Workawayern Unterkunft im Sommer, Herbst, Winter und Frühling in unserem kleinen Wohnwagen. Siehe genauere Beschreibung weiter unten.
  
  Bei uns erhälst du naturvibes in typischer schweizer Landschaft, abgeschiedene Ruhe, Die meisten geniessen die ländliche Ruhe und den Frieden des Ortes, aber manche finden es ruhiger, als ihnen lieb ist. Bitte sei dir bewusst, dass wir abgeschieden auf dem Berg wohnen. Es ist wichtig, dass du weisst, wie du dich selbst beschäftigen und deine Freizeit selbst gestaltest kannst.
  
  Wenn unsere Kinder im Bett sind sind wir meist erschöpft vom Tag und möchten gerne Privatsphäre oder Zweisamkeit. Das heisst wir mögen dann Ruhe und nehmen uns Zeit für uns. Du als Workaway gestaltest deine Abende individuell.

We're currently redesigning the garden, resurfacing the road, and clearing out the barn. We're open-minded, have traveled extensively ourselves, and have experience volunteering as both guests and hosts. We're interested in other countries, customs, and traditions, and we're happy to bring the wider world here.

  Du erlebst das Leben auf dem Land in einer schweizer Gross-Familie. Wir haben einen kleinen Bauernhof und ein Naturcamping.   The daily working hours are 4–5 hours, Monday through Saturday, Sunday is a day off.

  Potential responsibilities:
  
  You will help wherever needed. For example:
  – Cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, tidying up, and doing laundry

  In the fall and winter months, more work is done around the house, including cleaning and tidying up. However, there is still some work to be done outside.
  
  We are looking for someone who can help with the housework. Daily housework involves cleaning and tidying up, as well as cooking lunch (12:00 p.m.) and preparing dinner (6:00 p.m.).
  
  It helps to have a certain amount of muscle strength and enjoy working in the countryside, enjoy housework, be respectful and sensitive with children, and be willing to be proactive in our house and the countryside.

  Mögliche Aufgabenbereiche:
  
  Du hilftst mit wo immer nötig. Z.B:

  – Kochen für die Familie
  – Spielen und Freizeitgestaltung und Förderung der Kommunukation in Englisch und Französisch mit unseren Kindern.
  
  – Misten
  – Hecken stutzen
  – Rasen mähen
  – Unkraut entfernen
  – Scheunen entrümpeln
  – Äste zusammen sammeln
  
  In den Herbst und Wintermonaten fallen arbeiten mehr auf den Haushalt mit Putzen und Aufräumen. Trotzdem gib es auch draussen etwas Arbeit.
  
  Wir suchen jemanden, der sich in den Haushalt einbringen kann. Täglich ist Hausarbeit: putzen und aufräumen, sowie Kochen am Mittag (12.00 Uhr) und bereitstellen vom Abendessen (18.00 Uhr) jeden Tag zu erledigen.
  
  Es hilft, eine gewisse Muskelkraft zu besitzen und Freude an der Arbeit auf dem Land, Freude an Haushalt, ein respektvoller, feinfühliger Umgang mit Kindern und die Bereitschaft proaktiv im und uns Haus und auf dem Land anzupacken.

  Alojamiento

  In return for your daily help, we offer you room and board.
  Your accommodation is an old Esterel cult caravan, affectionately called "Klappi." It offers a double bed and a single bed and is suitable for one person, a couple or a family who know each other well. We do not accommodate two strangers together.
  
  The caravan is approximately 2 x 3 meters in size, comfortably furnished, and serves as a retreat and for sleeping. It does not have its own bathroom facilities or cooking facilities.
  The bathroom facilities are located outside the caravan. They are clean and spacious. You share it worh our Campingguests.
  
  The advantage: You have your own private space right in the front yard of our house.
  
  We eat together at the family table.
  We advise against cooking and eating separately and in between meals. Please adapt to our meal and daily routine.
  
  Please bring your own warm sleeping bag. It's quite chilly in Switzerland in the fall, and sub-zero temperatures are common in the winter. The caravan has a small radiator in case sub-zero temperatures are expected.

  Für deine tägliche Hilfe offerieren wir dir Unterkunft und Verpflegung.
  Deine Unterkunft ist ein alter Kult-Wohnwagen der Marke Esterel, liebevoll „Klappi“ genannt. Er bietet ein Doppelbett und ein Einzelbett und eignet sich für eine Einzelperson, (ein Paar oder eine Familie), die sich gut kennt. Wir nehmen keine zwei fremden Personen gemeinsam auf.
  
  Der Wohnwagen ist ca. 2 × 3 Meter gross, gemütlich eingerichtet und dient als Rückzugsort und zum Schlafen. Er verfügt über keine eigenen sanitären Anlagen oder Kochmöglichkeiten.
  Die sanitäre Anlage befindet sich auserhalb des Wohnwagens.
  
  Der Vorteil: Du hast deine eigenen, privaten Räumlichkeiten direkt auf dem Vorplatz unseres Hauses.
  
  Wir essen gemeinsam am Familientisch.
  Wir raten davon ab, separat und zwischendurch zu kochen und zu essen.
  
  Bitte passe dich unserem Essens- und Tagesrythmus an.
  
  Bitte bring deinen eigenen warmen Schlafsack mit. In der Schweiz ist es im Herbst schon recht frisch und im Winter sind Minustemperaturen üblich. Der Wohnwagen hat einen kleiner Radiator, falls Minustemperaturen zu erwarten sind.

  Our children attend the local school full-time or half-day, and meals (three meals a day) are taken together.
  You're responsible for the cooking. Enjoying cooking helps. We eat vegetarian.
  
  What do you do? Walking and hiking trails are right outside our door. Bus connections are a 30-minute walkingtrail away. Although we live in a remote area, Zurich, St. Gallen, Bern, and even the mountains can be reached within 1-2 hours. Shopping facilities are a 10-minute drive away.

  Unsere Kinder besuchen die regionale Schule Ganz - oder Halbtags, die Mahlzeiten ( 3mal) werden gemeinsam in der Familie eingenommen.
  Du bist fürs Kochen verantwortlich. Freude am Kochen hilft. Wir essen vegetarisch.
  
  Was machst du in der Freizeit?
  Spazier- und Wanderwege befinden sich vor der Haustüre.
  Busverbindungen sind in 30min Fussmarsch zu erreichen.
  Wir wohnen zwar abgelegen, Zürich, St.Gallen, Bern, oder auch Berge sind innerhalb 1-2 h zu erreichen.
  In 10min Autofahrt erreichst du Einkaufsmöglichkeiten.

  We have ample parking space. Use of the restroom facilities is available, of course. Campers are very welcome. No chemical toilet or greywater disposal. Wir haben genügend Stellfläche.
