Hi Workawayers!
We are a family of four: Christian, Giorgia, Ginevra (3) and Letizia (newborn in July 2022). A funny dog lives also with us and it's a part of the family.
We leave close to Lugano (30 minutes by car) in a sunny village in the green mountains just 15 minutes away from shops, sport center, schools, ... .
Our house has a calm and quiet garden where we love te spend our summer evenings and winter afternoons playing or taking car of our flowers. We live just an hour away from great skiing slopes and two hours from the closest beach.
Christian work at the Swiss radio and Television in Lugano and Giorgia is a mum, a university student to become a social assistant, an interpreter of Italian Sign Language (not necessarily in this order!).
From mid-April 2023 we are looking for an active, joyful and polite person to look for our kids when we both work. Ginevra attends the kindergarten three mornings a week, while Letizia stays at home and she needs love, warmth, food and caring. Minimum required stay is 5-6 months and up to a year you will be very welcome!
We love music, trekking, travels, art, good food, moments with friends, gardening, photography. But I am sure you could discover something more about us if we contact each other.
Basically Giorgia works for a 50-60% that's the time we need for the caring of Letizia, during the week. Weekends can be free for the person we host, but she/he will be always welcome to join us in our activity.
We will provide you a private room with private bathroom at garden level.
Christian is a great chef who prepares food from different origins (China, Japan, India, Greek, Italian, ...). We are vegan but if you wish to eat differently you have the chance to.
We ask for a non smoking person.

Our family loves art, nature and travel.
Right now we are hosting a Swiss girl coming from the French part and willing to obtain her C1 Italian certificate.
We are helping her studying, talking, improving her language, while we go together to visit our areas or together on holiday.
We cook and eat together and we learn from each other everyday.
Christian is flutist and musician and if you love music you will learn a lot from him!
Giorgia is an economist and now studying to become educator and social assistant so she has a good background if you love education.

Preferably we look for someone who can speak Italian.
We speak Italian at home but we can also speak English, French, Spanish or German.

Alojamiento
Our home is a three floors house.
First floor hosts kitchen, living room and dining room, whereas on the second floor there are parents' and kids' room.
Workawayers room is in on ground floor with a wide window opened on the garden. It has a private bathroom and two spacious rooms where we will accomodate you.

In your free time there are a lot to do.
Ticino is full of naturalistic and historical beauties to visit. Milan is just 1.5 hours away from here.
You can go skiing in winter and hiking in summer and spring.
In the village next to us there is a sport arena open in the summer period with big swimming pools, park and running trail.
Living in the mountains means you can also go with you bike or walking around to enjoy great panoramas.
