We are Lucie and Efren and our 2 children, Maël (9 years old) and Emiliano (8 months). We live in a very small village (we only have one neighbor) and we have a garden that feeds us all year round, as well as a small flock of sheep for our subsistance. We are located in the mountains of Asturias at 400 m, we have wonderful views every day of the year that help us believe in our project. The sea and beaches are just some 40 minutes away by car, and there are plenty of mountains with very interesting and impressive hiking trails around. The nearest town is 6 kms away and is called Infiesto. La Rebollada is a very quiet, sunny, broad and spacious place.
Now that Spring is here we need help with several things. Efren will be abroad and Lucie will be staying at home on the farm with the children and taking care of all the Spring chores. There is stuff to do in the garden; tilling the soil, spreading manure, planting, sowing, weeding, making compost, fertilizer, treatments... we will also need help with the sheep that we keep in our fields, which have to be moved on to new grazing pasture every 15 days and have water brought to them, as well as food for the mastiff that takes care of them. And besides there is always a lot of clearing and grass trimming to do because in Asturias weeds grow very fast; we will also need help looking after the children, the pets (dogs, cats), the house, the meals, and making sourdough bread.
With us you will see what life on a little family farm is like, living according to the weather and the seasons, you will learn about agriculture, animal husbandry, forestry and woodland management; it could serve as kind of an approach to rural culture. At home we speak Spanish and French, but we also know German and some English.
You will be able to discover Asturias; its language Bable, and its traditions, its people, its architecture, its landscape profoundly marked by its peasant, mining and revolutionary history, and the warm and humid atmosphere that is breathed here. You will be able to work with your hands in many different tasks, all related to food self-sufficiency and sustainable farming.
We have the “chambao”, which is an outbuilding near the house that has hot water, a shower, electricity, a kitchen with an oven, a fridge, a sink, table and chairs, and a sofa bed. This way you will have your own space ensuring rest and privacy. We plan to at least have lunch together, while breakfasts and dinners would depend on what suits us all best. Obviously, the food would be provided by us....
We live in Asturias in the municipality of Piloña, the hazelnut capital, east of Oviedo; we are at the doorstep of the Natural Park of Redes, close to the National Park of Picos de Europa, and of course the Cantabrian coast. Around our farm there are many streams and peaks, and small rural villages where you can enjoy the Asturian environment. All within a 40 minute drive.

Vivimos en una aldea muy pequeña (solo tenemos un vecino) y tenemos huerta de autoconsumo que nos da de comer todo el año, así que rebaño pequeño de ovejas que vamos ampliando poco a poco. Estamos en las montañas asturianas a 400m de altitud, tenemos unas vistas preciosas todos los días del año que nos ayudan a creer en nuestro proyecto. Tenemos el mar y las playas a unos 40km en coche y muchas montañas, y rutas muy interesantes y impactantes alrededor. El pueblo más cercano está a 6kms se llama Infiesto. La Rebollada es un lugar muy tranquilo, solellero y abierto

Con nosotros podrás vivir una realidad de una vida en una pequeña granja familiar, viviendo según manda el tiempo y las estaciones, podrás aprender sobre agricultura, ganadería, gestión de los bosques y los montes, sería de alguna manera un acercamiento a la cultura campesina. En casa hablamos castellano y francés, pero también sabemos el alemand y algo de inglés.
Podrás descubrir Asturias; su idioma el bable, y sus tradiciones, su gente, su arquitectura, su paisaje muy marcado por su historia campesina, minera y revolucionaria, el ambiente cálido y húmedo que se respira por aqui. Podrás trabajar con tus manos en muchas áreas diférentes, todo al final cabo relacionado con una alimentación soberana y una agricultura sostenible.

We need help now for this spring for several things. Efrén will be working help and Lucie will stay at home with the children and all the spring tasks. There is garden help ; open land, manure, plant, sow, remove weeds, make compost, slurry, treatments... we will also need help with the sheep that will be in the meadows and they must be changed every 15 days, take them water and feed the mastiff that take care of them And besides, there is always a lot to clear because in Asturias the grass grows very fast, we will also need help with the care of the children, the house, the meals, making the sourdough bread, and the domestic animals (dogs, cats).

Necesitamos ayuda ahora para esta primavera para varias cosas. Efrén va estar trabajando en el extranjero y Lucie se quedará en la casa con los niños y todas las tareas primaverales. Hay trabajo de huerta; abrir tierra, estercolar,plantar, sembrar, quitar hierbas, hacer compost, purines, tratamientos...también necesitaremos ayuda con las ovejas que estarán en los prados y hay que cambiarlas el parque cada 15dias, llevarlas agua y dar de comer al mastín que las cuida. Y aparte hay mucho que desbrozar siempre porque en Asturias la hierba crece muy rápido, también necesitaremos ayuda con el cuidado de los niños, de la casa, las comidas, hacer el pan de masa madre, y de los animales domésticos (perros, gatos).

Disponemos del chambau, que es un anexo a la casa que tiene agua caliente, ducha, luz, una cocina con horno, una nevera, mesa sillas, un fregadero y un sofá cama. De esta forma tendrás tu propio espacio para asegurar descanso y intimidad. Pensamos en hacer por lo menos las comidas juntos, los desayunos y cenas podrían ser separados dependiendo de lo que se acuerde entre nosotros. La comida la pondríamos nosotros obviamente...
We live in Asturias in the council of Piloña, capital of the hazelnut, east of Oviedo, we are at the gates of the Parque de Redes, near the Picos de Europa National Park, and of course the Cantabrian coast, Around our farm there are numerous rivers and mountains, and small rural villages where you can enjoy the Asturian atmosphere. Vivimos en Asturias en el concejo de Piloña, capital de la avellana,
al este de Oviedo, estamos en las puertas del parque de redes , cerca del parque nacional de picos de europa, y por supuesto de la costa cantábrica,, Alrededor de nuestra finca hay numerosos ríos y montañas, y pequeñas aldeas rurales donde disfrutar del ambiente asturiano. Todo ello en un radio de 40 minutos en coche.
