  A Back to simple life and nature on a self subtaining off grid finca with cavestructures. I let my dream come true and bought my own piece of land, away from the crowds in the mountains of Tenerife, to live in peace and harmony with my animals. The finca covers 2 hectares of land and includes a gorge with several caves and has a fantastic sea view. It is surrounded by agricultural land at 1000m above sea level.
  
  My name is Doris (47) and I live on the Canary Islands since 2005. I live in a tinyhouse. I have a 40m² cavehouse (still under construction - completion scheduled for 2026). The cavehouse is intended to serve as a retreat for guests in the future. With my partner Román (he is Canarian) and me live my dog, my horses and my chickens. We build a little cabin of recycled materials as accommodation for the volunteers (see photos).

  Bionic like Imitation of nature and ecosystems is a big topic!
  I'm trying to create an autonomous and self-sufficient ecosystem. The land was completely neglected, so reforestation is a constant priority. I've focused on endemic plants like pines and cedars etc. Naturally, medicinal herbs and plants are also cultivated.
  The first insects and birds have already returned. I'm also want to add beehives to produce honey, using an endemic bee species.
  We started with an aquaponic project (still under construction) with a natural pond and and raised beds outside (no fish in plastic tanks, no greenhouse!). So hopefully one day we can also convert the water into drinking water that we don't have to buy it any longer. Still we cannot drink it. Water and safe water is generally important.
  The feed for the chickens and horses is grown on the farm whenever possible. They produce manure, which is then spread back onto the fields.
  
  We have a wide variety of fruit trees, grow our own vegetables (mainly garlic, onions, tomatoes, peppers, beans, etc.), cultivate dragon fruit and cactus figs, aloe vera, and all kinds of medicinal herbs (lavender, bay, rosemary, sage – all endemic plants), and make our own preserves, jams, and tinctures. The chickens and quail not only provide us with eggs, they are also for meat production. Our aquaponics system will also includes edible fish and fast-growing vegetables (lettuce, etc.). The almond trees are especially beautiful in spring when they are in bloom. All these different flowers and herbs will soon provide us also honey.

  🟠 I would like to ask you to please note that I require a minimum stay of three weeks. There are good reasons for this. Time flies, and this is the only way to establish a calm and routine environment. If you agree to give me your helping hand, I will plan the tasks we have to do (mostly the season dictates when and what things need to be done) and count then on your helping hand. Please be responsible and complete the agreed stay and keep your commitment. I count on you like you on me. Thank you
  
  I will NEVER ask for more helping time than agreed. Weekends are ALWAYS free. We don't dawdle, we don't rush. We work consistently please. We eat everything. If you're vegetarian, that's no problem. I'll take that into account and enjoy to cook vegetarian meals for you every day. If you smoke, that's no problem, but then only outside.

  Volver a la vida simple y la naturaleza en una finca autosuficiente con estructuras de cuevas. Hice realidad un sueño y compré mi propio terreno, lejos de las multitudes de personas en las montañas de Tenerife para vivir en paz y tranquilidad con mis animales. La finca cubre 2 hectáreas de terreno, un barranco con varias cuevas y tiene una fantástica vista al mar. Está rodeado de terreno agrícola a 1000 metros sobre el nivel del mar.
  
  Me llamo Doris (47) y vivo en Canarias desde 2005. Vivo en mi propio terreno en una mini casa. Tengo una casa cueva de 40m² (todavía en construcción - está previsto que se complete en 2026). La casa cueva está destinada a servir de refugio para los huéspedes en el futuro. Con mi pareja Román (el es canario) y conmigo viven mi perro, caballos y gallinas. Hemos construyendo una cabaña de materiales reciclados como alojamiento para los voluntarios (hay fotos).

  Biónica, imitación de la naturaleza y los ecosistemas es un tema importante!
  Estoy intentando crear un ecosistema autosostenible y autosuficiente. El terreno estaba completamente abandonado, por lo que la reforestación es una prioridad constante. Me he centrado en plantas endémicas como pinos y cedros etc. Naturalmente también se cultivan hierbas y plantas medicinales.
  Los primeros insectos y aves ya han regresado. También estoy añadiendo colmenas para producir miel, utilizando una especie de abeja endémica.
  Tambien comenzamos con un proyecto de aguaponia (todavía en construcción) con un estanque natural y huertas elevadas (sin peces en tanques de plástico, sin invernadero). Asi un dia podemos tener agua de consumo humano para que un dia no tenemos que comprarlo mas. Todavia no se puede tomar. Agua y su conservación y ahorrarlo en general es importante.
  El alimento para las gallinas y los caballos se cultiva en la finca siempre que es posible. Ellos producen estiércol, que luego se esparce en las huertas.
  
  Contamos con una amplia variedad de árboles frutales, cultivamos nuestras propias hortalizas (principalmente ajo, cebolla, tomate, pimiento, judías, etc.), cultivamos pitahaya y cactus, aloe vera y todo tipo de hierbas medicinales (lavanda, laurel, romero, salvia, todas plantas endémicas), y elaboramos nuestras propias conservas, mermeladas y tinturas. Las gallinas y las codornices no solo nos proporcionan huevos, sino que también nos sirven para la producción de carne. Nuestro sistema de acuaponía también incluye peces comestibles y hortalizas de rápido crecimiento (lechuga, etc.). Los almendros lucen especialmente hermosos en primavera, cuando florecen. Todas estas flores y hierbas pronto nos proporcionarán miel.

El tiempo vuela, y esta es la única manera de establecer un ambiente tranquilo y rutinario. Si aceptan apoyarme, planificaré las tareas que realizaremos (en general, la temporada dicta cuándo deben hacerse las cosas) y contaré en este momento con su ayuda.   NUNCA pediré más tiempo de ayuda del acordado. Los fines de semana SIEMPRE están libres. Pero no nos demoramos, no nos apresuramos. Trabajamos con constancia por favor. Comemos de todo. Si eres vegetariano, no hay problema. Lo tendré en cuenta y con gusto prepararé comidas vegetarianas. Si fumas no hay problema, pero solo afuera.

  Zurück zum einfachen Leben und zur Natur auf einer Selbstversorger-Finca mit Höhlenstrukturen. Ich habe mir den Traum vom eigenen Stück Land, abseits der Menschenmassen in den Bergen von Teneriffa erfüllt, um in Ruhe und Frieden mit meinen Tieren zu leben. Die Finca umfasst 2 Hektar Land und inkludiert eine Schlucht mit mehreren Höhlen und hat einen traumhaften Meerblick. Sie ist umringt von Agrarland auf 1000m Seehöhe.
  
  Ich heiße Doris (47) und lebe seit 2005 auf den Kanarischen Inseln. Ich lebe auf meinem Land in einem Minihaus und habe eine 40m² große Wohnhöhle (immer noch im Ausbau - soll 2026 endgültig fertiggestellt werden). Die Wohnhöhle soll in der Zukunft als Rückzugsort für Gäste dienen. Mit meinem Partner Román (Kanario) und mir leben Hund, Pferde und Hühner. Wir haben eine Hütte aus recycelten Materialien als Unterkunft für die freiwilligen Helfer gebaut (siehe Fotos).

  Bionik, Imitation der Natur und Ökosystem ist ein großes Thema!
  Ich versuche ein autonomes Ökosystem zu erstellen, die die Selbstversorgung einschließt. Das Land war komplett verwahrlost. Daher ist Wiederaufforstung ein ständiges Thema. Ich habe mich den endemisch Pflanzen konzentriert. Pinien, Zedern etc. Natürlich werden auch Heilkräuter und Pflanzen angebaut.
  Die ersten Insekten und Vögel haben sich schon wieder angesiedelt. Es kommen aber auch noch Bienenstöcke dazu um Honig zu produzieren. Auch mit einer endemischen Bienenart.
  Auch ein Acuaponik-Projekt (noch im Bau) mit einem natürlichen Teich und Hochbeeten im Außenbereich (kein Fisch in Plastiktanks, kein Gewächshaus!) würde gestartet.
  So werden wir hoffentlich irgendwann Trinkwasser produzieren können, sodass wir es nicht mehr kaufen müssen. Bislang ist es nicht trinkbar. Wasser und Wasser sparen ist generell ein wichtiges Thema.
  Das Futter für Hühner, Wachteln und Pferde wird möglichst selbst angebaut. Diese produzieren Dung, der wieder auf die Felder geht.
  
  Wir haben sehr viele unterschiedliche Obstbäume, pflanzen unser eigenes Gemüse (vorwiegend Knoblauch, Zwiebel, Tomate, Paprika, Bohnen...), züchten Drachenfrucht und Kaktus Feigen, Aloe Vera, Heilkräuter aller Art (Lavendel, Lorbeere, Rosmarie, Salbei - alles endemische Pflanzen) und machen unsere eigenen Konserven, Marmeladen und Tinkturen. Die Hühner und Wachteln schenken uns nicht nur Eier sondern sind auch zur Fleischproduktion. Im Aquaponik Zyklus ist dann auch Speisefisch enthalten und schnell wachsende Gemüsesorten (Salate etc.). Die Mandelbäume sind besonders im Frühjahr auch noch ein Traum in der Blütezeit. All diese unterschiedlichen Blüten und Kräuter werden uns auch bald Honig bescheren.
  
  Aber es gibt noch viel mehr zu erforschen! Dazu aber mehr vor Ort. Ich habe viele Ideen, welche ich umsetzen möchte.

  🟠 Ich möchte euch darum bitten zu beachten, dass ich um 3 Wochen Mindestaufenthalt bitte. Das hat auch seine Gründe. Die Zeit vergeht schnell und nur so kommt auch Ruhe und Routine auf. Wenn du deine Zusage gibst mich zu unterstützen, plane ich die Dinge, die wir dann erledigen (meistens bestimmt die Jahreszeit, wann welche Dinge erledigt werden müssen) und rechne dann mit deiner Hilfe. Bitte seit so verantwortungsbewusst und beendet auch die zugesagte Zeit. Halte dein Zusage. Ich zähle auf dich, so wie du auf mich. Vielen Dank
  
  Ich werde NIE nach mehr als der vereinbarten Hilfe-Zeit bitten. Wochenende IMMER frei. Wir trödeln nicht, wir rennen nicht. Wir arbeiten bitte konstant. Wir essen alles, wenn du Vegetarier bist, ist das kein Problem. Ich berücksichtige das und koche gerne vegetarisch. Wenn du rauchst ist das kein Problem, dann aber nur draußen.

  The finca is located close to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Caldera de Teide and can be reached walking by many ways. On the way you come through the wine yards, 20-30 minutes walk to the first bodega (winery).
  
  On the finca we preferably speak spanish. I am happy to help to learn the language or getting better. We talk a lot about the project and the journeys to learn one from the other and plan new things whenever we have dinner together. Everything in Spanish, as far as possible. But also possible in English or German if you don´t speak Spanish
  
  The provided dish mostly consists of typical Canarian food.
  
  There is much to learn about the culture and history of the Canary Islands, Bionic, and conservation of resources maybe with a nice campfire and a bottle of wine.

  La finca se encuentra a los pies del Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO, La Caldera del Teide y se puede llegar caminando de muchas maneras. Por el camino se puede llegar a la zona vinícola (20-30 minutos a pie) hasta la primera bodega.
  
  En la finca se habla preferiblemente en español. Cuando cenamos juntos hablamos sobre el proyecto, las experiencias y viajes de otros y planificamos nuevas tareas. Todo en español, en la medida de lo posible.
  
  La cena consiste mayormente en comida típica canaria.
  
  Hay mucho que aprender sobre la cultura y la historia de Canarias, bionic y conservación de recursos
  (puede con una bonita hoguera y posiblemente una botella de vino).

  Die Finca liegt am Fuß des UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe, der Caldera de Teide und kann zu Fuß auf vielen Wegen erreicht werden. Auf dem Weg kommt man durch das Weinanbaugebiet. 20-30 Minuten Fußweg bis zur ersten Bodega (Weinkeller).
  
  Auf der Finca wird bevorzugt Spanisch gesprochen und gerne beim Vertiefen oder Erlernen der Sprache geholfen. Wenn wir zusammen zu abendessen unterhalten wir uns über das Projekt, Erfahrungen und Reisen der anderen und planen neue Aufgaben. Natürlich auf Spanisch, soweit dies möglich ist. Aber natürlich auch auf Deutsch möglich.
  
  Das Speiseplan besteht zumeist aus typisch kanarischem Essen.
  
  Es gibt viel über die Kultur und Geschichte der Kanaren, Bionik und Schonung der Ressourcen zu erfahren, gerne auch mal bei einem schönen Lagerfeuer mit einer Flasche Wein.

  We make constructions from different materials. Natural stone, clay, wood, pallets... Everything is recycled. You will get to know materials and how they are processed
  
  The finca naturally requires constant maintenance of its installations: weeding, sweeping path, cleaning rainwater channels etc.
  
  3 hours a day (15 hours a week max. 5 days). Weekends we only relax and you have your time completly on your own, but for sure I provide dinner every day.
  
  I don't have art projects! I don't need help with animal care, household, cooking or a nanny!

  Hay mucho que explorar.
  
  Disponemos de diferentes formas de cultivo y preparamos periódicamente las cajas y los campos. Llegas a conocer el ciclo.
  
  Realizamos construcciones a partir de diferentes materiales. Piedra natural, madera, barro, palets… Todo es reciclado. Conocerás los materiales y cómo se procesan.
  
  3 horas diario (15 horas semanal en max. 5 dias). Find de semana para relajar y a lo tuyo pero obviamente tendrás cena cada dia.
  
  La finca naturalmente requiere un mantenimiento constante de sus instalaciones: desherbar, barrer camino, limpiar canales de agua de lluvia etc.
  
  No hay proyectos de arte! No necesito ayuda en la casa, cuidado de los animales, la cocina o una niñera!

  Es gibt viel zu erfoschen.
  
  Wir haben verschiedene Formen von Anbau und bereiten regelmäßig die Kisten und Felder vor. Ihr lernt den Zyklus kennen.
  
  Wir machen Konstruktionen aus unterschiedlichen Materialien. Naturstein, Lehm, Holz, Paletten... Es wird alles recycled. Ihr lernt Materialien kennen und ihre Verarbeitung
  
  Die Finca braucht natürlich auch eine ständige Instandhaltung der Installationen. Unkraut entfernen, Weg fegen, Regenwasserkanäle reinigen etc.
  
  3 Stunden am Tag (15 Stunden die Woche in max. 5 Tagen). Wochenende entspannen wir und du hast die komplette Zeit für dich. Natürlich gibt es trotzdem Abendessen jeden Tag.
  
  Es werden keine Kunstprojekte umgesetzt! Ich brauche keine Hilfe im Haushalt, Tierpflege oder beim Kochen und auch keine Kinderbetreuung!

  The CABIN - You have privacy here!
  
  As already mentioned at the foot of the finca is the cabin of recycled materials. The cabin has a double bed, a small kitchen, a seating area in and outside and a shower and toilet outside. Space for one person or a couple. The cabin is prepared for a green roof and we are waiting that the plants are growing on it to get like a Hobbit-home. The cabin has an outdoor area. There is a solar light, I can charge the powerbank for your mobile phone.
  
  I asked for 3 hours a day (15 hours a week max. 5 days - 2 days completly free), however I will provide a mostly typical canarian dish every day which will be prepared always fresh.
  
  I do not provide hygiene products, so please bring your own staff for the toilet, also your own towel. In the cabin is a blanket, but your own SLEEPING BAG also is useful. You should also bring a POWERBANK for your mobile phone. I can charge the power bank for you. Don't forget to bring one because I don't charge mobile phones directly!
  
  On the finca there is good telephone and Internet connection for your mobile phones. If you do not have internet on the phone yourself, you can connect to my phone sometimes. There is NO permanent hotspot.
  
  I do not provide a shuttle service to the airport. There is a bus connection to a place nearby the finca. l can pick you up there on arrival! We go directly to a supermarket so you can buy what you need for you. So make a list that you do not forget anything - the supermarket is not around the corner!
  
  Once a week I have to go to the supermarket and you can come with me.

  La CABAÑA - Tienes privacidad aqui!
  
  Como ya se mencionó al pie de la finca hay la cabaña de materiales reciclados. La cabaña cuenta con una cama doble, una pequeña cocina, una zona de estar dentro y fuera y una ducha y inodoro exterior. Espacio para una persona o una pareja. La cabaña esta preparada para tener su techo vivo, esperamos que crecen las plantas para parecerse a una casa Hobbit. La cabaña tiene un área al aire libre. Hay una luz solar y puedo cargar un powerbank por el móvil. No olvides traer tu powerbank! No cargo otros dispositivos directamente!
  
  Solo pregunto por 3 horas diario (15 horas semanal en max. 5 dias - 2 días completamente libres), sin embargo pongo una comida al diario (mayormente típico canario).
  
  No se proporcionan productos de higiene. Trae tus propios artículos por favor, también tu propia toalla. Hay una manta en la cabaña, pero traer un SACO DE DORMIR también es útil. Un POWERBANK tambien deberías traer.
  
  En la finca hay buena cobertura por tu teléfono y Internet para teléfonos móviles. Si no tienes propio internet con el movil, se puede conectar a mi teléfono a veces. NO hay un punto de acceso (Hotspot) permanente.
  
  No hago servicio de transporte al aeropuerto. Hay una conexión de autobús a un lugar cercano de la finca. Sin embargo, te recogeré allí el dia de llegada!. Vamos directamente a un supermercado para que pueda comprar lo que necesitas. Así que haz una lista para que no olvides nada - el supermercado no es tan cerca!
  
  Una vez a la semana voy hacia el supermercado y me puedes acompañar.

  Die HÜTTE - Hier gibt es Privatsphäre!
  
  Wie bereits erwähnt ist am Fuß der Finca die Hütte aus recycelten Materialien. Die Hütte hat ein Doppelbett, eine kleine Küche, einen Sitzbereich drinnen und draußen und eine Dusche und Toilette draußen. Sie bietet Platz für eine Person oder ein Pärchen. Die Hütte ist für ein lebendes Dach vorbereitet und wir warten, dass die Pflanzen wachsen und sie wie ein Hobbithaus aussieht. Die Hütte hat einen Außenbereich. Es gibt ein Solarlicht und ich kann die Powerbank für das Handy laden. Vergiss nicht deine Powerbank mitzubringen!
  
  Ich bitte um 3 Stunden Unterstützung am Tag (15 Stunden die Woche in max. 5 Tagen - 2 Tage komplett frei), ein Essen wird trotzdem täglich gestellt. (zumeist typisch kanarisch)
  
  Es werden keine Hygieneartikel zur Verfügung gestellt. Bringt bitte eure eigenen Pflegeprodukte mit und euer eigenes Handtuch. In der Hütte gibt es eine Decke, aber auch ein eigener SCHLAFSACK ist nützlich. Die POWERBANK ist auch wichtig. Die Powerbank kann von mir aufgeladen werden. Vergiss nicht eine mitzubringen, ich lade keine Telefone direkt!
  
  Auf der Finca gibt es guten Telefon- und Internetempfang für dein Mobiltelefon. Wenn ihr selber kein Internet am Telefon habt, könnt ihr euch gelegentlich mit meinem Telefon verbinden. Einen dauerhaften Hotspot gibt es NICHT.
  
  Es wird kein Shuttleservice von und zum Flughafen von mir angeboten. Es gibt eine Busverbindung zu einem nahe gelegenen Ort der Finca. Dort hole ich euch bei Ankunft gerne! Wir bleiben auch direkt an einem Supermarkt stehen, damit ihr euch versorgen könnt bis zum ersten Einkaufstag. Macht euch also eine Liste, damit ihr nichts vergesst - der Supermarkt ist nicht um die Ecke!
  
  Einmal in der Woche fahre ich zum Supermarkt und du kannst mich begleiten.

  OFFGRID! The only luxury is nature
  
  The finca is 10 km away from the Municipal Capital San Miguel de Abona, 5 km from Spain's highest village Vilaflor and 20 km from the sea and beach. Next bus stop at about 3 km. Shopping takes place here mainly in small shops in San Miguel. The fruits, vegetables and meat comes from the surrounding area. The finca is self-sufficient with solar energy and water is coming by truck from the reservoirs of the region and we collected rainwater. So we always have to divide up the water! Due to the altitude it can be colder in the evening, in wintertime 5-10 degrees at night. Cause of the nature we have insects and other animals, but nothing poisonous.
  
  Respect, sustainability, trust, tolerance, privacy and harmony are the law. Smoking only outside, illegal substances are not welcome. Disrespect of the "no drugs rule" leads to the direct departure! It is not a partyfarm!

  My project is very big. To handle everything, I am grateful for every move and I like to offer a hot meal daily, accommodation with cooking and washing facilities and a trip to shop once a week for help of 15 hours a week. Two days off are on Saturday and Sunday. My home is my sanctuary and place of relax. Do not confuse my home with a hotel with 24-hour reception, entertainment, taxi and guided excursions. You will help out most of the times on your own and will have time for yourself. At night we sit together to eat, enjoy nature and a good conversation.

  La finca se encuentra a 10 km del casco urbano del municipio de San Miguel de Abona. A 5 km del pueblo más alto de España Vilaflor y a 20 km del mar y de la playa. Próxima parada de autobús a unos 3 km. Las compras se realizan aquí principalmente en pequeñas tiendas en San Miguel. Las frutas, verduras y carnes provienen de los alrededores. La finca es autosuficiente con energía solar y el agua proviene de los embalses de la región que viene en camión y agua de lluvia recogida. El agua debe ser organizado y racionado por eso. Debido a la altitud puede refrescar por la noche, en invierno a veces frio hasta 5-10 grados por la noche. Debido a la naturaleza hay bichos y animales, pero nada venenoso.
  
  Respeto, sostenibilidad. confianza, tolerancia, privacidad y armonía son la ley. Fumar solo en el exterior y las sustancias ilegales son tabú. El desprecio de la "regla de no drogas" lleva a la salida directa! No es una finca de fiesta!
  
  Estancia mínima 3 semanas, a largo plazo preferido, PAREJAS BIENVENIDOS!

  Mi proyecto es muy extenso. Para manejar todo, estoy agradecido por cada movimiento y me gusta ofrecer diariamente una comida caliente, alojamiento con instalaciones para cocinar y lavar y un viaje para hacer compras a la semana para ayuda de min. 15 horas a la semana. Los dos días libres son los sábado y domingo. Mi hogar es mi santuario y lugar de relajación. No confundáis mi casa con un hotel con recepción 24 horas, animación, servicio de taxi y excursiones guiadas. Trabajarás muchas veces solo y tendrás tiempo para ti. Por la noche nos sentamos juntos para comer, disfrutar de la naturaleza y una buena conversación.

  OFFGRID! Einziger Luxus ist die Natur
  
  Die Finca ist 10 km von der Municipalhauptstadt San Miguel de Abona, 5 km vom höchstgelegenen Dorf Spaniens Vilaflor entfernt und 20 km vom Meer. Nächste Bushaltestelle ca. 3 km. Einkaufen findet hier vorwiegend noch in kleinen Läden in San Miguel statt. Das Obst, Gemüse und Fleisch kommt aus der näheren Umgebung. Auf der Finca wird darauf viel Wert gelegt. Die Finca ist selbsversorgend über Solarenergie und das Wasser kommt mit einem Tankwagen aus den Stauseen der Region und wir sammeln Regenwasser. Daher muss das Wasser eingeteilt werden. Durch die Höhenlage kann es abends kühl, im Winter auch bis kalt werden (5-10 Grad) Dadurch, dass wir in der Wildnis sind gibt es natürlich auch Insekten und Tiere aber nichts giftiges.
  
  Respekt, Nachhaltigkeit, Vertrauen, Toleranz, Privatsphäre und Harmonie sind Gesetz. Geraucht wird nur draußen, illegale Substanzen sind tabu. Missachtung der "Keine Drogen Regel" führt zur direkten Abreise! Es ist keine Partyfinca!

  Mein Projekt ist sehr umfangreich. Um alles bewältigen zu können, bin ich für jeden Handgriff dankbar und biete gerne täglich eine warme Mahlzeit, Unterkunft mit eigener Koch- und Waschmöglichkeit und eine Einkaufsfahrt die Woche an für min. 15 Stunden Hilfe in der Woche. Die beiden freien Tage fallen auf Samstag und Sonntag. Mein Heim ist mein Heiligtum und Entspannungsort. Verwechselt mein zu Hause bitte nicht mir einem Hotel mit 24 Stunden Rezeption, Animation, Taxiservice und geführten Ausflügen. Ihr werdet viel alleine arbeiten und Zeit für euch haben. Abends sitzen wir zusammen um gemeinsam zu essen, die Natur und gute Gespräche zu genießen.
