Nestled in the French mountains inside the national park, our off grid house has a small plunge pool, sauna, hot tub which are all surrounded by natural oak forests , offering breathtaking 180 views over the Mediterranean. (45/50 mins from Beziers)
We provide you with 3 good, home cooked meals using locally sourced fresh produce from nearby St. Chin market every day, Monday to Friday and breakfast only, on weekends. (most people like exploring at the weekend, St.Chin, Canoeing, hikes etc) Anna is a fantastic cook thanks to her experience helping her dad run successful restaurants in Dublin. She loves shopping for and making delicious meals for our guests.
We're so lucky to be surrounded by mountains, nature and located inside one of France's best National Parks. We'd love to show you the local wine tours and of course, we're always excited to meet new people from all over the world.
We are working on renovating our timber and stone chalet in the hills, to turn it into an eco-friendly home. Our furry friend Rocky, a former hunting dog, sometimes lives with us and loves going on long walks in the hills with anyone who is willing to take him on a walk.
We are Anna & Neil, a couple from Ireland 🇮🇪 & England 🏴 who both love traveling and exploring new places. We're also passionate about good food and wine. We run a charity in West Africa called Village by Village.
Neil is a bit of an adventurer - he's completed walking/survival courses and led expeditions overseas. If you're into mountain walking, mountain biking or canoeing, he's got some awesome routes to share with you. Plus, our location means we get 300 days of sunshine a year! He is also a qualified English teacher with years of experience teaching all over the world.
The location is in the mountains and hills surrounded by 2,600 km² of natural oak forest in one of France’s finest National Parks (Parc Naturel Régional du Haut Languedoc), with magnificent, panoramic views overlooking the Mediterranean. If you can get yourself to the local village we will come down in our lovely old 4x4 Land Rover and drive you up to our house.
Anna loves shopping for fresh produce in the local market of St. Chinian on a Sunday & Wednesday morning so lunchtime is normally a special treat, you are welcome to join her on her trips to the market.
We are surrounded by award winning domains (vine yards) that produce some wonderful wines and we have a local "Cave" (wine shop) in our village, where we can get you the local's discounts. You could easily spend several afternoons just doing the local wine tours.
We adore meeting new people from all around the world, we speak English and a little French and our French improves with the number of glasses of wine we have had!Tipos de ayuda y oportunidades de aprendizaje

Travellers will learn new skills, meet new people and can enjoy good food and wine from our region.
We adore meeting new people from all around the world, together we have travelled to over 70 different countries. Anna is Irish/Greek, so likes a drink and is also a great cook! Neil has led two overseas expeditions across Central & South America (The Darien Gap) and across the Sahara Desert. Together, we founded the charity we now both work for, Village by Village.
Our evenings are mostly spent sat on our terrace chatting with a nice bottle of cheap local wine overlooking the magnificent, panoramic views watching the sun go down.Ayuda
We need to create a firebreak in the surrounding forest. Help with light gardening and around home.
You do not need any skills, just be fit and healthy with a willingness to learn and lend a hand.Idiomas

You will be staying in the recently built extension with its own double bed, work station and en-suite or you can camp, in the privacy of the 5 acres of natural oak & pine forest that came with the house. You have spectacular panoramic views overlooking vine yards, leading to the villages of Pravda & Cessenon all the way to the sea.
Our favourite thing about our accommodation is the outdoor heated solar shower with the most magnificent 360, panoramic views which must have the best shower views in the whole of France!Algo más...
We are keen walkers who are happy to show you our favourite routes and have a couple of mountain bikes guests are welcome to use. They run canoeing trips, paddle boarding etc in the next nearest village of Roquebrun which the Orb River flow through from the mountains to the west. So is also the best place to jump in the river for a swim on a hot summers day.
We are surrounded by award winning domains and vine yards that produce some wounderful wines and we have a local "Cave" (wine shop) in our village. You could easily spend several afternoons just doing the local wine tours.
And then there are the fine selction of local patisseries (cake shops) seling amazing breads, cakes and lots of produce markets. The biggest being twice a week in Saint Chinian.
There are some lovely beaches only a 45 min drive South to the Mediterranean. Happy to drop you off at the bus stop
On the way to the beach you go through the ancient city of Béziers that hosts the famous "Feria de Béziers", every August. Attracting over a million visitors to the five-day event.
