My sweetheart son and I would love you to join us at our little oasis of fruit trees, medicinal herbs, and veges, less than 10mins walk from the gorgeous Lake Hāwea.

Earth and body connection, with infinite and powerful intelligence to guide us towards the expansion of consciousness are callings that feel present for me. Disconnection from my body and the over use of my mind for decades, a trauma response, acted as a convenient yet subconscious strategy to self-abandon, and so moved through a phase of rebirthing myself. Moving from pathological 'doing', to embracing and honouring the art of 'being', seeking connection with my heart, has woven through my journey in recent years. I recently moved back to my motherlands, Aotearoa-NZ, after 14 years abroad living in Burma, London, Mexico, Berlin, Nigeria, Indonesia, Austria ... as a human rights lawyer and academic doctor, I worked for the United Nations. I investigated war crimes and genocide, spent time learning from rebel leaders and soldiers about war and revolution ... my experienced led me back to my roots. Back to matter. Earth. To the soul that now inhabits the flesh that is my beautiful son, and wise teacher. I came to the conclusion that no work was more important than motherhood and I have chosen to devote myself as fully to my role as Mother as I can. For me, much of the ills manifesting in our world are due to a lack of culture that centres mothers, children, life ... I long to be part of culture anchored in values of care, reciprocity, authenticity, relationality ... that honour regenerative practices and embrace cyclical living.

I feel fire in my belly and womb as I write this, curious and excited about all that will emerge from this open space of collaboration and healing.

We would love to share our experience of life and learn from yours ... I've recently returned to Aotearoa-NZ, my motherland, after 14 years abroad living in Burma, London, Mexico, Berlin, Nigeria, Indonesia, Austria ... I investigated war crimes and genocide, spent time learning from rebel leaders and soldiers about war and revolution in Burma, and came full circle to appreciate that tending to my own surroundings ... to land, growing food in community, creating rootedness and home for my little one, devoting abundant energy to relationality and nurturing loving friendships ... is what matters to me. I'd love to share in the beauty of connection, food, music, laughter ... the simplicity of what it is to be human. Recognising and feeling the beating heart of those courageous souls on the frontlines of oppression, of violence, whilst also tending to the creation of alternative ways of being ... radical structures and systems based on values of care, reciprocity, regeneration, pleasure, that centre and respect thriving life ... Let us weave the way together.

We are longing for an infusion of diverse ideas and presence ... to spice up our lives here in rural NZ! Ha. We need help with our garden (weeding, lawn mowing, permaculture ideas etc.). We would also love to share visions of living in harmony with land, bathe in your music or song, eat your delicious food creations, have help with general house maintenance/cleaning, share time caring for my son, Māhi (2.5 years young and very chatty!). We have a beautiful old retro caravan that you'll stay in, and we'd love help to make the area around her beautiful. Also to decorate her on the inside for extra cosiness and comfort.

I'd love to improve my French skills, in particular. I lived in France as a child and always wanted to maintain the fluency I had back then! But it's rusty :))) I am a novice in Spanish and would love to learn ... and my son's father is Austrian, so I understand a fair bit, and you can speak to Māhi in German, he gets it :)))

Better to have a car so you can explore the gorgeousness in the region as there's no public transport. Though hitch-hiking is obviously an option and relatively simple between Lake Hāwea and Wānaka, for example. And there is a lot of beautiful nature accessible by foot/bike in the area.
