About Us
We’re Jo, Ama, and our little boy Mac (born in January 2024). We live in a cozy wooden house on the outskirts of a village on the beautiful Atlantic coast. Our home is surrounded by a large garden, and we have two friendly cats who love spending time outdoors.
Our family is bilingual — Jo is French, Ama is German, and we mostly speak English at home.
Our area offers sandy beaches (just 2 km from our home), lovely forests, delicious food, and a warm community. We enjoy music — especially hip-hop — and love staying active with sports like basketball, surfing, skateboarding, swimming, cycling, and stand-up paddleboarding.
Ama runs a small café near the beach, and Jo works for a family business. Summer is a busy season for us, so we’re looking for an au pair to help care for Mac during the day.

We’re seeking a caring, responsible, and fun-loving person to join our family for the summer season. Your main role will be looking after Mac, primarily during the day from morning to evening.

Cultural Exchange at Our Home
Living with our family offers a wonderful opportunity for cultural exchange. As a bilingual household, you’ll experience a mix of French, German, and English in your daily life. Jo is French, Ama is German, and we mostly speak English at home — perfect if you’re looking to improve your language skills or immerse yourself in different cultures.
We love to cook and enjoy sharing our favorite dishes, from French classics to German specialties, and we’d be excited for you to introduce us to recipes from your own culture too!
Our lifestyle is active and social — whether it’s spending time at the beach, exploring local markets, or gathering with friends and family. You’ll get to experience life in a vibrant tourist area with a laid-back coastal vibe.
You’ll also have the chance to connect with locals, enjoy regional traditions, and even meet some of the friendly faces at Ama’s café. If you’re interested in learning about café culture or how things run in a small business, we’re happy to share that with you too.
We’re looking forward to welcoming someone who’s open-minded, curious, and eager to be part of our family — sharing stories, experiences, and creating lasting memories together.

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a caring, responsible, and fun-loving person to join our family for the summer season. Your main role will be looking after Mac, primarily during the day from morning to early evening until we are back from work.
Occasionally, we may ask for light household help or feeding the cats.

Whether it’s sharing your language, traditions, or favorite recipes, we’re excited to welcome new ideas and experiences into our home. In return, we’re happy to help you improve your English, French, or German and introduce you to our way of life here on the Atlantic coast.
Alojamiento
What We Offer:
Allowance paid per week.
All food and accommodation included.
Your own private room (about 15m²) in our 100m² home, furnished with a bed, wardrobe, table, and storage space.
Shared access to the bathroom, toilets, kitchen, and living area.
A bike for getting around — either with Mac in the trailer or for personal use.
Free food and drinks at Ama’s café.
Three days off per week (though the schedule may occasionally change if Mac’s grandparents are on holiday or if needed).
One to two days a week, Mac will be with his grandparents, giving you some additional free time.

We prefer not to share photos or videos of our son online, but we’d be more than happy to introduce him to you during a video call so you can get to know him better.
