where we are now:
the pondliner is in !!! what a job!
now we can start with more technical works like the pump system, here I have an professional man for, sometimes youcan work with him and also:, filling with a lot of round gravelto make the plant beds, but there is still some digging to do, (a small line for the waterpipe to go to the little ponds 8 meters further in the garden
summer project: the moment has come! we will make an ecological swiming pond in the garden. The hole is there, waiting to be filled with water and plants, flowers and little water-animals. So we look for volunteer(s) to help with this project.
So if you think you have a sense for beauty, are able to work precisely, are creative and you'd like to do this together, welcome! muscles are also great! but necessary, there will be, building stairs in the pond, and gluing of some big folds,
this is a busy time on the fields. So Peter can use help there also.
we grow organic vegetables and herbs in a harvest-garden (community shared agriculture), weeding, planting, harvesting,... so you can choose for diels, or pond, or combine the two :)
help in kitchen and preserve food for winter is also an option
We have built an extension to our house in strawbales and cob.
we live at the end of a little road in the woods, nearby a little city, 50 km from Brussels and 25 km from Leuven
Inside the house, we have a lot of wood and round forms with cob-walls.

there are a lot of nice walking a,d biking routes, we can lend a bike for you.
we live close to the little towncentre of Aarschot, with some medieval nice buildings, tower, bridge
if you like to visit cities: Leuven, Brussels, Antwerp can be reached by train in less than an hour.
When there is an opportunity I like to take you for a swim in natural water,....
we eat together and it's an oppotunity to have evenings with laughter and games, or with philosophic/ spiritual exchanges. Our way of living invites you to encounter, live and feel alternative ways of making society. We are also in LETS (local exchange trading system) and Peter's farm is a CSA (communit shared agriculture)

we have a wooden caravan near the house with a little kitchen and a double bed.
when we have more workawayers, you can sleep in the tent, where we make a good bed for you!
you can share the real kitchen, cooking, eating, bathroom, in the main house.
I'm used to cook a lot of different tastes and diets, with all the good and sometimes special vegetables from the garden. we do eat meat and co , but I can cook vegetarian or vegan if wished.

there is a trainstation in 30' walk, so you can easily reach other places to visit,
when weather is warm, there is a lake on 10 km, where we love swimming.
We are Peter (53 y) and Christel (52y), we live here with our sons David and Simon (19 and 17y old)
We like hardworking simple and peacefull living, we love to play games, and know a lot about nature. Philosophers also,...we are a diverse couple, Peter is strong, and can make long hours,
I have the beginning of a muscle disease, so I have to take care about my energy, I have to rest sometimes during the day. I'm a fysiotgerapist and know about body-work en the energetical being of body and heart.
when we are many, I need help in the kitchen.
I love to serve nice meals.
and we take care of the water, that means that real long showers are not possible :)
We both are creative minds.
If you smoke we ask you to smoke oustside the house or caravan,
with the pleasure of meeting other people!

Living with the family is on the whole very quiet. Everybody is often tired in the evening, so you shouldn’t expect to spend hours talking with each other. We spent just 10 days but we learned so much and had a really great time.
