Our business is a boutique resort in rural North Efate located on 400 acres of land both on the sea and river! We are a fun family run and owned business and we have been here for many years doing what we can to help our community socially and economically. We have a great team of people including staff you will adore and have you laughing every day. it is a very chilled and laid back lifestyle here. Our staff are all from the surrounding villages and have limited skills in certain areas, and so we are wanting people with particular skills to come and help.

There are so many useful skills that could be valuable to our business/ community, some of these would include mechanical, building, cooking, IT, creativity and design and even horticulture and farming to name a few! There are lots of things to do in the area, it is very safe to walk around and very quickly you will be adopted by our crew and taken in as one of our own.

There are loads of opportunities available for anyone wanting to interact with the Vanuatu culture. We hire 100% Ni-Vanuatu staff from the local community and they love interacting with our guests and showing them their village. You can walk around the area and follow the staff back home (1km away) after work to drink kava

I had a wonderful time while staying in resort and in Epule Village. Working with the local people in a gardens was special experience - they were always incredibly friendly and warm. Our Workaway stay at this resort in Vanuatu was a mix of beauty and bumps.

"I have taken a great deal of thought when deciding to write this feedback. I feel it's important for other workaway members (especially SOLO travelers) to gain a thorough understanding of my experience. Please when reading this feedback understand that I was the ONLY solo traveler (among 6 other travellers in their 20's to 30's) and am 56 years … read more old, VERY experienced and posses a wide variety of life experience and practical experience which I share with everyone.
I have to mention that the relationship between the other workawayers was challenging at best. Despite numerous attempts at making personal compromises and self sacrifices to them, it never seemed to be enough. There developed a "high school like click" ... filled with lies, deceit, misrepresentation and conjecture.
So the differences in values and morals between myself and the other workaways had resulted in my being ostracized from the group.
I must stress to you that this was NO FAULT whatsoever of the host and despite this tensy, I still ended up having a wonderful experience.
There were many positive and fulfilling experiences gained while I stayed there;
1. Thania and Jaque (hosts) were flexible, understanding and very attentive to the needs not only the workway volunteers but their local staff. Jobs I completed include teaching and working in the kitchen (training staff cooking meals for guests, kitchen clean-out, meal planning, prep-work) painting of villas, building fire-pit, masonry work on ceilings, fixing roofing areas and other tasks. What's really great is workers have their choice of many jobs that need to be done which added to the flexibility of selecting jobs that are better suited for the skills preferred by the different workaway staff.
2. The local staff were the absolute highlight of this work away. I thank them ALL (too many to mention individually by name) for such a warm and welcoming stay. It was such a pleasure teaching and learning from everyone. I miss all of you already. The staff are trustworthy, kind and possess a wonderful outlook on life.
3. Finally I would like to say that the accommodations provided we're comfortable, clean and well beyond anyone's expectation. the food provided as well was well above average, plentiful and delicious.

I recommend this work away as a place where you can have the freedom to be yourself (regardless of who may or may not like you) and perhaps be part of a tight-nit team of truly caring, thoughtful, honest and loving individuals.

I wish the other workaways (who I choose not to mention) the best of luck in their travels and in their lives. ' Seek not to judge others, as you seek not to be judged yourself.'"
