We are a small community of three couples, all over 50, living in a wonderful, ancient farmhouse in the Gantrisch Nature Park. The mountain views, the tranquility, and the abundance of nature touch us anew each day and invite us to hike in the Gantrisch mountains, relax by the pristine Sense and Schwarzwasser rivers, or even venture out on a river hike – many activities accessible right from our doorstep.
Our large garden is a place for relaxation, retreat, sustenance, and work all at once. Our plan is to build an earth-sheltered greenhouse in the spring, and there are many small and large tasks to be done in the garden and around the house. Just as we live as a community in our daily lives, we will all be involved in some way in our interactions with you.

Wir sind eine kleine Gemeinschaft von 3 Paaren, alle ü50, die ein wunderbares uraltes Bauernhaus im Naturpark Gantrisch bewohnen. Der Ausblick in die Berge, die Ruhe und viele Natur berühren uns täglich von Neuem und laden ein zum Wandern in den Berge des Gantrisch, an den naturbelassenen Flüssen Sense und Schwarzwasser zu entspannen oder eine Flusswanderund zu wagen, vieles direkt von der Haustüre aus.
Unser grosser Garten ist Erholung, Rückzug, Nahrung und Arbeit zugleich. Unser Plan ist es, im Frühjahr ein Erdgewächshaus aufzubauen, im Garten und im Haus gibt‘s viele kleinere und grössere Arbeiten zu erledigen. So wie wir im Alltag Gemeinschaft leben, werden wir auch im Kontakt mit dir alle irgendwie involviert sein.

We're looking for all-rounders with a flair for outdoor tasks, but also a knack for minor home repairs . We envision you helping us out, so one or more of us will usually be around. We've already tackled many jobs around the house together, which we find very motivating because it makes the progress much more visible. This includes things like helping to build the greenhouse, finishing up the raised beds we recently constructed, and so on. And when it rains, there's always something to do indoors.

Allrounder und Allrounderinnen mit Flair für die Arbeit im Freien, aber auch Talent für kleinere Reparaturarbeiten am Haus. Wir stellen uns vor, dass du uns mithilfst, jemand oder einige von uns sind also meist dabei. Wir haben bisher viele Arbeiten am und ums Haus in Gemeinschaftsaktionen erledigt und erleben das als sehr motivierend, weil so der Fortschritt der Arbeiten viel sichtbarer wird. Also geht’s z.B. um Mithilfe beim Aufbau des Gewächshauses, Abschlussarbeiten rund um die Hochbeete, die wir neu gebaut haben usw. Und bei Regenwetter findet sich etwas im gedeckten Bereich zu erledigen.

You'll be staying in our guest studio with a bed (on the mezzanine), sofa, table, kitchenette, and shower/toilet. If there are two of you, there's an extra mattress. We'll take care of meals on an ongoing basis: Who's home and wants to invite you to dinner? Would you prefer some privacy and to prepare your own food? Anything is possible!

Du wohnst in unserem Gästestudio mit Bett (auf der Galerie), Couch, Tisch, kleiner Küche und Dusche/WC.
Falls ihr zu zweit kommt, hat‘s eine zusätzliche Matratze.
Die Verpflegung regeln wir laufend: Wer ist zuhause und lädt dich zu Tisch? Willst du dich zurückziehen und dir dein Essen selber bereiten? Alles möglich!

We live in a fairly remote area; the nearest train station is a 30-minute walk away. If you don't have a car, we can lend you a bicycle if needed.

Wir leben recht abgelegen, der nächste Bahnhof ist 30 Fussminuten entfernt, falls du kein Auto hast, können wir bei Bedarf ein Fahrrad ausleihen
