  We are a family of five, a 5-year-old boy and 3 year old twins. We live in a former school building in Alvaschein, a small village in the mountains in the heart of Graubünden. We have set up a studio in the former gymnasium where we produce art. We like this quiet little village and the nature around us, but we also enjoy meeting and interacting with people from different backgrounds and countries with exciting stories. This is not always so easy due to the current situation. We live a simple life and want to live our values such as being connected to nature, not harming animals, meditation and yoga. A few raised beds with vegetables and herbs are also part of our vegan, organic kitchen. It would be nice if you could stay a little longer so you can explore the neighbourhood and we can take the pressure off the family situation by handing over the kitchen. If you enjoy cooking but don't have much experience with vegan cuisine, we can help you out with our recipes. Ideally, you would like to work independently in the kitchen and enjoy creatively preparing wholesome meals from basic ingredients for breakfast (6.45 am), lunch (12 noon) and dinner (6 pm). You can also try your hand at baking and snacks on our dessert days (Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday) - the children are happy and so are we, of course. We usually order our food weekly or every 10 days from an organic partner, so we have everything we need to eat fresh and healthy. What do you think, does that sound good to you?   You can deepen or expand your cooking skills and get creative in the kitchen, get to know a wonderful region and be inspired in our art and culture centre. You will have the best experience with us if you integrate yourself. We are happy to open up our family and look forward to your presence at our daily activities. Unfortunately, we are not able to actively integrate you at the moment because we are sometimes very absorbed by our three lovely children. But if you are open and communicative or simply come along and join in the rhythm, it will be a wonderful, enriching experience for you and for us. We have already had wonderful experiences with Workawayers who have actively integrated themselves with us. We invite you to be part of our family and look forward to it.

  We are looking for a passionate personality who loves to cook vegan healthy saisonal meals. Everything self-made, no convenience food. Preparing five times a week breakfast, lunch and a little dinner, cleaning the kitchen afterwards. Helping with our household and the little garden.

  Alojamiento

  We offer you your own large, bright room and three hot meals a day (min. 5 days/week) and a stay in a beautiful place that is worth discovering. You can also come with a pet, as long as the animals and children get along. You will receive organic, freshly prepared food and a place to sleep in a nice, quiet place for the preparation of three meals a day and help in the household and garden (in winter there is no work in the garden).

  We are a no smoker household and it's important for us that you are a non smoker, too.
  There are around 5 busses a day from Alvaschein to Tiefencastel where the train station is. We also do have bicycles to go to the train station. It's best to take one of these buses to get to us or to go somewhere. You can also walk to the nearest train station to Tiefencastel (3 kilometres) or take a lift or taxi.
  You can go for beautiful hikes or bicycles tours, maybe go for a horse ride, if you get in contact with the farmer next to us or if you like to play piano, we have one here. We live close to Lenzerheide, Davos and St.Moritz which are a more touristic places, where you have many more possibilities, like swimming in the lake, sailing, biking, hiking, skiing etc.

  Our wifi is available between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.. in between we switch off the internet. in urgent cases we can help out with a hotspot.
