Looking for person/couple to help manage chambres d'hotes April-Sept. no cooking required.
Offering you the opportunity to experience a rural community at 800m in the Grand Causse mountains with views of the gorge du Tarn,Larzac,Roquefort.
Permaculture is being setup when the terraces are created. There is a natural drip-fed stone well, and a natural pool to be added. Preparation of the ground and planting seeds, when the season & weather allow
*explore and soak up the culture, experience Aveyronnais food.*beautiful clean unpolluted air and nature all around you.Once the Capital of the region, with over a 1000 inhabitants. Now we are 65.

Many of the workawayers talk with the locals, participate in village fetes,go exploring to the canoe centres,beach cafes and restaurants etc....

I have 4 bedrooms & 2 shower rooms Let to guests.
I need someone to manage them ie changeovers;cleaning,remaking beds,washing,dusting,vacuuming. You are welcome to receive guests 17h-22h or at least practice your French with them.And also at breakfast if you wish,but I don't expect you to help with breakfast 07h-09h. I start clearing & cleaning the breakfast area & kitchen,as soon as they finish. Guests vacate their rooms by 10h30, which is when the rooms need to be emptied of all bed linen & towels,and put in the washing machine area in the cellar,and start the first wash load.Then bedrooms,shower rooms etc. Once done, you will have plenty of time to go exploring. You can also help prepare the terraces .

There is land for a van,so you are independant of my home. I have fibre optic 200MBps. Shower & toilet for your & my use.Guests renting rooms have their own bathrooms.

There is parking for campervans 200m from my house.There are charging points by the tourist office top of village. No parking for guests or visitors in the village all summer.

The village is beautiful and she is very knowledgeable about the area and everything there is to see.
The work and the hours were reasonable. The room was comfortable and the food was SO delicious!!
We loved everything about our stay there..
But, we'll have to admit that Fido is still the one who stole the show… read more
