We spent two amazing weeks at Mythe's, with her very lovely family. We were given different tasks and then managing time as we wanted wich was very appreciated. We always knew what we had to / could do and always had someone to ask questions to, even when everybody was busy.
This is a remote place but we can always work out a way to go on

We shared tasty meals prepared by the family, and always had plenty of food for us when we were on our own as well.
Last but not least, the furry babies are absolutely adorable. We had so much pleasure taking care of them. They are easy to look after and only ask for cuddles (or the ball for Lucky !!).
Thank you so much again Myrthe, Flora and Janny for this bit of life shared together, take care of you all, we hope we'll see each other again !

Wendy was just a dream to share a space with. She did her work well and with great care and attitude. We had great conversations over food or tea and I was glad to have found a moment to take her out on a road trip between my schedule and the terrible weather she had the misfortune of experiencing. It's a lovely and relaxing place to stay, with two fluffy dogs and a cat. You'll definitely be well-fed and have a warm bed to rest in.
I stayed here for four weeks, and with the unpredictable Irish weather, I experienced plenty of rainy days. But when the sun came out, I got to enjoy some really nice road trips with Myrthe.

The 3 weeks I spent at Myrthe were like an enchanted dream that I found very hard to leave.
From the first meal we shared, I felt like part of the family, they are all super welcoming and warm.
The work in the garden wasn't too difficult and Myrthe gave me a lot of freedom in my schedule so that I could organise myself as I wished.
I loved her
… read more little corner of paradise in the middle of the Irish countryside, between fields, sea and mountains, it's very relaxing and you really feel at home.
My favourite moments were undoubtedly the dinners that we often had together, or with her mum or sister, between Asian dishes or comfort food, these were moments of sharing, laughter and discussion that are now very fond memories in my heart.

Salomé had great communication, work ethic and is genuinely kind and open hearted.
She quickly became part of the family and integrated seamlessly into the daily routine of life here. She worked hard with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. She cooked some lovely meals and looked after my pets with so much love and care.

My stay at Myrthe's house was such an amazing time to me. I really enjoy her joyful company and spending time with her and her welcoming family, including her lovely dog Luke! I have tasted new, delicious dishes! Beautiful and relaxing sourroundings around Bantry Bay!
Myrthe is a wonderful person and host. It's clear that she cares about her volunteers, she makes sure that you feel at home and are comfortable with the tasks that need to be done around the house. Her fur babies Lukey, Jazz and Ruby are the absolute sweetest, extremely obedient. It's been a pleasure looking after them, 2 weeks have flown by.

Staying at Myrthe's was lovely. We stayed for 12 days, we were mainly in the garden weeding, planting etc., and we did some painting and repairing inside the house.
She is very flexible with the time, when we decide to do the job, and we always felt very comfortable around her and in the house.

Myrthe really cared about us looking around the neighborhood, she took us for trips, dropped off and picked up in Bantry, we went on a hike together as well.
One highlight was that she taught us some very good massage moves.

Janny and Fred are the perfect hosts and their house is the perfect place! We helped them cooking, gardening and building a new terrace, the work was always pleasant, and they would always be working with us or near us. Shannon and Mat were great workers. They were very helpful ,showed interest in what we were doing, eager to learn and always willing to do any job that needed doing! The only set back was that the period that they were planning to stay kept changing due to other commitments.

This farm is absolutely stunning from every single part of the farm. No matter where the work for the day is, you have a view of a mountain or the bay, and you can always be sure that Fred will fit in a morning tea break! Delicious fresh mint tea picked from the garden, with freshly baked bread or scones, topped with homemade jam or Fred's salad

Janny and Fred are two of the nicest people you can meet. They shared with us so much of their background, both from Holland and Ireland, and are both so knowledgeable about cooking, farming, natural living, massage, you name it! We always wanted to do more work to help them, just because they were so nice! We felt like we were truly contributing to the Farm no matter what we were doing. They always rewarded us well for our work, and even better for hard work!
Andrew said the other day, "when Fred talked, I listened," referring to his stories, life experience, and farm experience. We really miss that!
We loved staying with Janny and Fred, and hope to see them again, somewhere around the world!
