I am really grateful that I was able to have my first workaway experience with Carla, Stew, Django and Conall.
They welcomed me with open arms and made me feel at home.
Carla and Stew are both musicians, so the house is always filled with wonderful music. I enjoyed it every time one of them played the guitar or sang.
They took me to many different

I have also taken the two boys very much to my heart.
Django has an incredibly impressive passion for surfing and Conall and I played a lot of tag together, listened to music, danced around the house, rode bikes outside and played football.
Django cares so much about his little brother and Conall has a sweet soul too.
It is a very great, generous and so uncomplicated family!
Thanks again for everything, dear Carla, Stew, Django and Conall!

Carla, Stew, Conall, and Django, an incredible and wonderful family!
My experience with them was simply unforgettable. I was with them for a month, November turned out to be one of the most memorable months, all thanks to the incredible opportunity that I had being with them.

My tasks—keeping the house clean and tidy, and helping with the children—were simple but meaningful because they allowed me to make my own contribution to their home.
This experience was more than just a work exchange; it was a journey filled with emotions, learning, and cultural immersion. They showed me such kindness and support, always ensuring I felt comfortable and included. For that, I'm profoundly grateful.
They gave me the chance to see life from a new perspective, I felt the true essence of Ireland—its warmth, its rhythm, and its soul.
I would never forget the delicious meals they shared with me, the moments spent listening to beautiful music, and the joy of being part of their daily lives.
Each day was a discovery!
Conall and Django brought so much energy and happiness in the days, and their lively spirits were a constant source of inspiration. I spent some wonderful moments with them playing, with the little one telling him stories and with the big one playing basketball and many other things.
Carla and Stew were amazing people, offering her guidance, kindness, and a beautiful environment playing a music.
And super important to mention the dog, the owner of the house, with whom I spent a great time with him, very affectionate and playful.
I'm deeply thankful for everything—the love, the lessons, the music, and the memories. I must confess that I shed a tear when I left, I hope we can meet again in the future!

Marta was a wonderful help around the house, so clean and tidy and great with the kids and our dog Wallace too!

I don't even know where to begin!
Ivy Jo was absolutely brilliant in every way,
She immediately fit right in and became part of our family.
Both our kids Django and Conall absolutely love her (as do we!)
I vy Jo can sing and play piano and often came to my open session to sing and play.
Everyone who met Ivy Jo loved her, she's a wonderful, warm,

Ivy Jo is great at board games and just about any game really,
She played imaginary games with our four year old all day long as well as basketball with our eldest.
We'd have her back in a heartbeat and hope she does return to us someday:)

This was my first workaway experience, as well as my first trip to Ireland and....WOW! It was everything I hoped for and MORE thanks to this host family. Carla and Stew provided a very comfortable, private, and clean space for me to stay without being separated from the family. The house is always filled with beautiful music and lovely smells from
… read more the kitchen as both of them are great musicians and cooks. Both of them are very friendly and will always offer tea or coffee to go with great conversation and laughs (or as they would call it, "craic"). There was a great balance of doing things together as a family as well as solo adventures. They were very kind to drop me off/pick me up for my own exploring as well as giving great recommendations for things to do, see, drink, eat, etc. My favorite place was a cute beach town called Lahinch. It's biking distance from their house and is filled with shops, restaurants, pubs, views, and one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. Many surfers in the area gather here to catch some waves (very entertaining to watch even if you don't surf).
I can't say enough good things about Carla and Stew, as well as their two boys. We were fast friends and I truly enjoyed the time I spent looking after them. They go to school during the morning/afternoon and can be independent at home, but they both loved doing things altogether when we had a chance. The older boy enjoys surfing, watching surfing videos, and always knew how to make me laugh with his killer sense of humor. He also is very good with the younger boy and a great big brother to him. The younger boy will steal your heart instantly. He has the sweetest soul and really just enjoys having a buddy who will share his toys, play soccer, do art projects, play pretend, and read to him. We spent many hours together and saying goodbye to him was incredibly difficult. I didn't expect to have such a great little buddy!
I can't forget to mention how handsome the man of the house is. His name is Wallace and he's the most amazing yellow lab you'll ever meet! He loves snuggles and walks just as much as the rest of us and is a great companion as he will always want to be by your side. He is well behaved and a great listener. If you aren't a dog person, don't worry one bit. He doesn't bite and you will not be responsible for picking up his "creations" in the garden :) There is enough love poured out on him by everyone else in the house...but I would strongly recommend you open your heart to him because he really is the sweetest boy.
I could go on and on about the amazing memories I made in the month that I stayed. I met new friends, experienced different aspects of Irish culture, saw some of the most beautiful sights of my life (cliffs, castles, rolling hills, beaches, etc.), tried new food and drinks (you can still enjoy Ireland even if you don't drink!), heard some of the best music, and met the most amazing people here. After my time with this generous family, I took some time to travel to different parts of Ireland. It was all great and beautiful, but County Clare and the people there will make your trip worth the fare... can you tell I kissed the Blarney Stone? :)Comentarios
