HelloOoOooo!
I’m Vortex, nice to meet you!
I’m 25 and from New Zealand. I’ve been living in Berlin on and off since May, working with kids at an art and music language camp. In my free time I like walking for long periods of time and thinking and art and painting and creative people and EXPRESSION! I love rolling around on the dance floor especially to swamp gremlin dubstep (ugh so good!). I enjoy rejecting societal norms and free and conscious thinking. I also love the outdoors and the mountains very much and do a lot of hiking and climbing. I love meeting new people and trying different ways of life and having new experiences:) I’m also learning guitar and Spanish at the moment which is very exciting:)
Looking forward to meeting you and sharing some adventures together!Interests

More details about your skills
I am an outdoor instructor by trade so have skills in group facilitation, guiding people in the outdoors, working with kids and general instruction. Through this I have also worked in conservation, via ferrata guiding, outdoor instruction at summer camps and got my current job which is at a language camp for kids:) I can teach general bushcraft, hiking, climbing, whitewater kayaking, mountaineering and also answer any thru-hiking questions you might have :)
I have also studied physics and would love to make my physics knowledge more practical and learn engineering skills.
I’ve done some construction but would love to learn more! Some projects I’ve done included building a basic frame and set up for my van and also helping construct a 8m rotating mirror tunnel art piece - this was epic and I want to build more sculptural art pieces in the future! Also have helped set up big shade structures and festival builds. Would also love to learn electronics.
I really like to do art - drawing, painting, photography and friendship bracelets/macrame usually, so would love to paint a mural, help design a space, create mosaics, pottery, jewellery:)) I’d love to learn how to work with wire or extend my skills in any of these ways if you can teach me anything!
I’ve done various fruit picking jobs - olive harvesting, cherry picking, grape harvesting. My family owns a small olive orchard of 100 trees so I’ve helped with the olive harvest for the last five or so years. I love olives and olive oil!
In the past I also managed a hiking club in New Zealand so have skills in publicity, photo editing, running social media pages, design and general management of an organisation.
Other random things are working in hospitality, hostels and general gardening things. Emotional support guitar playing and marginal harmonica playing.
I’m fit and a quick learner so also keen to learn any new skills you might have to share! :)Age
