I mainly have experience with mechanical things, and I enjoy fixing things instead of replacing them. I have been working on cars and bikes for a few years, which requires a fairly wide range of tools and skills. I am, of course, always looking to learn new things and although I have limited knowledge in other areas, I am a patient and attentive learner, and very quick to pick up new skills.

While here, he mowed the pasture and orchard, helped to empty and clean the duck pond and the duckhouse, organized our workshop, cleared the end-of-season garden, and gave our car a thorough clean inside and out ready to sell. I spent a great few weeks staying with Cheryl in September. We worked on many different projects and I got to do many new things like welding, using epoxy, a bit of painting the house as well as wrenching on the various small engined things which is a rare opportunity that I really enjoyed. Eric was here a week and we got a lot done. He trimmed the edges of all my walkways and cleaned with a leaf-blower, picked blueberries, pruned my grapes and cut out blackberries and many other things. He is a good helper and easy to communicate with. I am sure you will be blessed to have him.

I stayed with Talitha for only about a week, but I had a great time helping out in the garden/yard and getting to know her. She always communicates very well about tasks we work on, house rules, etc and we had great conversations as well. Olympia is also a great town with a lot of great food trucks around, I would totally visit again in the future.

My time with John and Connie was fantastic. John is great to converse with and they make incredible food every day. Their place in the mountains is absolutely stunning as well and I loved hanging out with the dogs and exploring the property. This was an excellent first experience with workaway and I know it will be hard to beat this one.

Eric stayed with us for two weeks. During this time, he helped dig and set 100+ fence posts. He was extremely diligent in ensuring that the auger was perfectly level (I'm on the side of a mountain).
