Description
I’m someone who finds real joy in rolling up my sleeves and getting involved in all kinds of projects. I love working in different environments, and I see each experience as a chance to learn something new and grow. I'm adventurous by nature and feel most alive outdoors, whether it’s camping, hiking, bouldering, or enjoying winter sports.
At the same time, I have a strong homebody streak. When I’m not out exploring, I love spending time in the kitchen; I bake my own bread, brew kombucha, and enjoy experimenting with low-waste, sustainable living. Keeping things clean, organized, and cozy gives me just as much satisfaction as a good mountain hike.
I’m currently traveling with my girlfriend Kiana. She’s a very creative person, and together we run a small carpentry business back home in Belgium. We both enjoy working with our hands, building things, and bringing creative ideas to life, whether that’s through woodworking, home projects, or daily problem-solving.
We’ve been living and working together for a while, so we’re a strong team. We communicate well, support each other, and genuinely enjoy sharing space, which makes us easygoing and adaptable guests.Interests

More details about your skills
Together, we bring a wide range of practical and creative skills. We run a small carpentry business in Belgium, where we design and build projects from start to finish. We’re both hands-on, curious, and quick to learn, and we genuinely enjoy putting our energy into meaningful work.
I love working on renovation projects and figuring out how things function. I’m comfortable with tools, basic plumbing, and have experience tiling bathrooms. I also work in a permaculture garden, where I’ve learned about sustainable growing, composting, and community-based food systems. I can take care of animals, enjoy cooking, and live a low-waste lifestyle, including baking bread and brewing kombucha. On the creative side, I’ve studied ceramics and recently started taking painting classes.
Kiana brings a strong artistic and design background. She studied art and is skilled in illustration, painting, sewing, and upcycling. In our carpentry work, she focuses on the creative design process and finishing details. She has a great eye for aesthetics, is calm and reliable, and brings a thoughtful, creative touch to every project she takes on. She’s also great with kids and enjoys working in gardens and communal spaces.
We both love being active, learning by doing, and adapting to different environments, whether it’s a workshop, a kitchen, a field, or a home.Age

What else ...
We’re new to Workaway, but not to rolling up our sleeves and getting involved. We’ve done volunteering before and loved being part of something bigger than ourselves, whether it was digging in a garden, painting walls, or cooking for a crowd.
For us, Workaway is the perfect mix of what we value most: learning by doing, connecting with people, and living in a way that’s hands-on and real. We’re not into being passive tourists, we’d much rather trade stories while chopping vegetables or help build a compost toilet than lie by a hotel pool (unless the compost toilet is next to a pool in which case, even better).
We’re curious, adaptable, and always up for trying something new. Whether it's milking goats, sanding furniture, or helping with a community event, we show up with good energy and a sense of humor. We see Workaway as a way to travel with intention, and to leave a place just a little better than we found it.Some more information

The place is full of life, and there's always something going on. When the weather is kind, it turns into this little paradise .The one-month minimum stay was perfect for us. It gave us the time to really arrive, to connect with the place, and get… read more
