Hi all, I'm Tatiana(: I am a student originally from California, but going to University in Italy. I have now been in Rome for two and a half years. When I found the option to go to University abroad I jumped at it and the ability it would give me to explore another part of the world. I am half german and therefore, have always had a love for Europe, but over the past few years I have been able to explore more locally and connect with the people here in Italy as well as all over Europe. Human connection and ability to share culture and communicate through actions motivates me! Giving back to communities and giving all a fair share at having a meaningful, full, happy, and healthy life brings me happiness. I am a dedicated student of international relations but love to take advantage of my time off to have new experiences and try to give back to the culture I am currently living in. I am hard working, experimental, and open to every new experience.

I have done many hobby projects with woodworking, welding, and general handyman tasks. I grew up working with my hands constantly and love a bit of adventure when figuring new things out! From fences to painting to jewelry making, I can figure out how to work most any problem! I have worked as a project coordinator for a small NGO focused on gender in sustainable chemicals management, this has given me access to UN conferences, international multi-stakeholder partnerships, and conversations with all different people from all different sectors. I have also continuously volunteered at a refugee center in Rome, getting experience with talking and spending time with people who are in a transitionary and difficult phase of life. I am currently a waitress and bar back, I have worked as a summer camp counselor, a babysitter, a tutor, a volleyball coach, and author advisor. I have a lot of experience working with children and adapting to their individual needs. I enjoy creating an environment in which everyone feels safe and has the ability to be their best selfs!

I have been a volleyball player my whole life and love a pick up game with anyone! I love the ocean more than anything and am a scuba diver. I like to try new ways of moving my body from Yoga to boxing. I don't know quite yet what I am going to do with my life, but I know it will include connections with local people who are proud and excited to share their culture, homes, and hearts to others.
