Hi! I'm Tara – a recent art school graduate and currently doing a degree in creative writing. I joined the workaway community last year to see some more of the world and meet new people.
So far, workaway has brought me to Slovenia and Italy, and both those experiences have made me eager for more!
Growing up in Ireland but having recently lived in the Netherlands for 5 years has made me question where I feel most at home, and what that place would look like. I have been lucky to experience the sharp contrasts between city life and being in the countryside surrounded by nature, which recently is what I find myself wanting to go back to.
I paint, write, read and really enjoy most outdoor activities.
Through workaway, I am hoping to experience new cultures, see new landscapes and meet new people and their stories!

I have bachelors degree in fine art and because of that I have experience with painting, drawing, some photography, sculpting, bookbinding, curating, exhibition planning and organising etc..
I am fluent in English, Dutch and Gaelic (Irish). I also know a little French. I have done some translating work (Dutch to English).
I've done some gardening work and looking after animals including cats, dogs, chickens, horses, donkeys)
I can teach traditional Irish music and dance!
