Travelling
My next destination:
Italy - from Dec 2024 until Jun 2025 View allDescription
I’m Maja, 20 years old, a fresh high school graduate .
I’m here because I decided to take a gap year to return to Italy – the place I have this inexplicable longing for I don’t know since when – but for long enough to finally yield to the temptation.
I want to dedicate this year to traveling all the way to Umbria from up north - Ravenna, Firenze, and every little Tuscan town and Umbrian village.
I am desperate to discover Italy in its rawest form, get to know its culture deep to the bottom, meet its people in their most natural habitat, as well as learning the language alongside with every new skill I can, whether it be building a house, shearing a sheep or teaching someone a foreign language.
Setting out on this journey also carries the importance to me of discovering myself, pushing my boundaries and broadening my horizon, while trying my best to travel with my mind - and heart open.Interests

More details about your skills
I speak fluent English and have a C1 language certificate, a B2 in French and I'm also working on developping my Italian.
I have experience with children due to my two younger siblings, and I've been volunteering at a civil organisation called 'Bagázs' for 5 years where we're helping/ working with children of hard life circumstances. I also love kids very much, and get on with them well, and if needed, teach/tutor them in different areas such as languages or literature.
Concerning domestic life, cooking, keeping the kitchen clean and washing up perfectly (thanks to my mom:D) are a few things I'm capable of, as well as enjoying time spent in nature, therefore gardening, harvesting and all kinds of cultivation of vegetable gardens or work concerning it.
I love art, so I'll gladly do anything connected to this field, be it different kinds of projects, crafts or whatever may come up - and overall, I'm open and willing to learn any new skill that is needed or useful.Age
