Heyy :)
I’m Sünje, 19 years old and from Germany. I‘ve always been passionate about traveling and when a friend of mine recommended Workaway it seemed like the perfect fit.
After I graduated high school a year ago and quit my job in a social work company, I wanted to take on new challenges and travel across Europe for a couple of months.
I’m planning to continue my education afterwards but for now I’m eager to explore new countries and their own unique culture.

Although I can be a quiet person from time to time, I always try to respond to the needs of those around me. I‘m generally looking for a good experience shared with the right people.

Through my previous field of work I know how important it is to work as team and I’m excited about achieving new skills alongside others.

I’m more of a creative mind and always find my peace surrounded by nature and new adventures. When I’m not at work or out with some friends, I love to spend time with my dog outside or to voluntier at the local animal shelter.

I’m already looking forward to this extraordinary new stage of my life and hope to gain as many new impressions as possible.

Starting to provide for myself at an early age made it possible for me to collect a variety of many different work experiences.
For example:

I used to work at small shop centered around sustainability and inclusion/diversity for over two years. The shop sells different products, which are handmade by people with special needs and/or disabilities. Working together with people from all kinds of backgrounds has been a great experience and lesson in life.

Trough other work related projects I got to develop some skills in crafting and hand sewing. Besides that I’ve been active as a supervisor at a workshop that only hires people with special needs.

I grew up alongside rescue animals and also participate in animal welfare myself.

Along the way I’ve made some minor working experiences as a waitress and in child care.

I’m generally open minded about learning new things, be it in relation to work or as a hobby.

I’m already looking forward to accompany you and hope we can learn from one another! ;)
